Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I also have the willys hood for $275, grille for $300, and willys windshield frame for $175 that could go with it. “I have a Very Nice Early 1946 Willys Jeep, Model CJ2A, Complete Original Body and Frame in Beautiful Condition. The patina is priceless, body is straight, great front end, engine compartment is nice, look at all the attachments around the tub, spare tire holder, gas can holder, shovel holder, etc. Only 2 rust spots on the floor of the tub, under the compartment as shown and a small spot on the passenger floor as shown. Look at the rat rod under dash heater, the dash in near mint and un-molested, great set of gauges. All 3 original dash tags with VIN. Just a beauty of an original CJ2A body and frame.. The serial number is 18639, has all 3 dash tags with the VIN and 2 tags under the hood with the VIN. There is one last weld to make on the front frame tube as shown. Body is solid and attached to the frame. I purchased 25 of these jeeps awhile ago from a collector and realize I cannot complete them all. I am only selling them because I need the money for my daughters college, please only bid or make an offer if you can pay promptly.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500. This is likely a 2A body and chassis. The rear full floating axles could be military or an update to the 2A axles.

Looks liek this is a MB/GPW tub that’s had a gas inlet installed.

“1945 Willys Jeep title status : clean
CJ2A body. Bought new a few years ago but never used. Garage kept and never been in the rain.
I did paint the underside and drilled the holes to mount to frame.
The bed has couple dents from the motor being stored on it. Could be easily fixed. Will need to be blasted / sanded before applying new paint. The factory primer did not adhere well and is chipping off. From what I understand this is still an issue with all aftermarket body’s. Body has zero rust.
If you have rusted out or beat up body this is a quick and easy fix. These body’s cost $2400-$2500 plus delivery from the suppliers.”

“I have a body that came off a Ford WW2 Jeep. Someone cut the rear panel for a tailgate. It has minor rusts issues on the floor, but it’s actually pretty solid for being 70+ years old. The sump is missing and a homemade glovebox was added over the original one.
Based on my research, this is actually a Ford “Script” tub , despite the missing Ford script rear panel.

“Rusty tub I pulled from a DJ3A. I started to patch this thing up, putting in one floor board and getting some metal patch panels, but I ran out of energy.
The Good – has good firewall and cowl, gauges worked, rear floor OK, more leg room than other tubs – I was going to put this a CJ2A project. It has no tailgate – like an MB or GPW
The bad – pretty rusted, I removed both floor pans and replaced one I
I hate to take this to scrap yard, but it is taking up too much garage”
