Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This project includes pretty much every single nut and bolt needed to build a CJ2A. I have probably invested over $13k in parts from various sources so my loss your gain. I have a 100% new body (most of it still in shipping bubble wrap), rolling frame and chassis, original engine, transmisssion, etc. Included is an entire trailer full of NEW IN BOX parts to go with this project. “For sale a 1949 Willys CJ2A. I have owned this jeep for 20 years and it’s been garage kept since I’ve had it. Have not attempted to start it in several years so it definitely needs some mechanical TLC but the body and frame are solid. No rust. If I remember correctly the previous owner did an off the frame restoration. I’d love to see it running again but I just don’t have the time or know how. $5,000 OBO. NO TRADES.”

“Willys 1951 CJ-3A. Frame and tub are in pretty good shape. Needs motor. There is a block with crank and pistons. Rolls and steers easily. If you are looking to restore this model or make it an army jeep this is a pretty good platform to start with. Body panels are in good shape and the tub floor needs some work but is fairly solid. Frame underneath looks okay.
Originally I was going to make a clone WWII jeep by replacing the CJ tub with an MB tub. Long story short, my supreme commander gave me a deadline to start the project. That deadline has passed and I don’t have the time to start so I would like to pass it on to someone else before the snow flies. CJ sat indoors for many years until about two years ago. Stays covered since. No title. I paid $2500 for the CJ and I’m open to hearing serious offers and making a deal but would like to get a decent chunk of what I paid back. So please keep that in mind as you make an offer.”

“Nice old jeep starts every time runs great, drives good,stops ok body is 8.5 out of 10..chassis and running gear 9 out of 10…paint 4 at best p.o. brushed it red …tires are like new..little bad spots on passenger step ,on tailgate and in tool box..seats are like new all gauges work as does speedo.leaks a little oil from oil line every thing else leaks according to its age.will come with a 2a windshield frame that is serviceable as well as glass that is good the 3a windshield on it stays with me.its tagged and inspected p.o. converted to 12v with gm one wire alternator and headlamps are modern jk lamps other than that it’s all 1948 Texas title in my name…this is not a daily driver although I drive it all the time…if you are not mechanically inclined this is probably not the best toy choice”
