The seller is correct; this is a classic PNW build, with the Desert Dogs, a V6, the diamond plate corners, the diamond plate side pieces, the Bobcat Hood, along with other updates.

“The time has come for me to sell my 1946 CJ2(ish) little beast. It’s sporting a Buick 198 fireball, t90, bobcat hood, Cadillac telescopic column, rather beat up 64 corvette seats, full set of Desert Dogs, ect ect. The top is pretty beat up but keeps the weather out about as well as you could hope. All and all a great example of a classic PNW jeep. It runs and drives but could certainly use a tune up as I’ve not been driving it much at all (hence the sale) Mainly looking for cash but could be open to trades for a newer jeep that would be more daily driver friendly”

“It’s a 1946 Willys CJ2A tilt up shell, full drag chassis built by Rick Thomas in Hesperia ca., Wally World Custom paint. 568 C.I. Dart Big M. Gary Williams 1150 Dominator, Reher Morrison intake, heavily worked Dart Pro 1 heads, Ron Davis radiator, Eagle rotating assembly, Jessel rockers, oversized .904 Howard’s solid lifters, custom cam from Forsyth speed, Ross custom pistons, Custom Hooker headers, pro star 500 pump, Best of the Best from front to back. in this configuration it made 989 hp on an engine Dyno, but can easily be de-tuned to 800hp. I have complete professional build sheets. PowerGlide w/4500 stall (2k HP build), scatter shield and drive line loop. Modified Dana 60 (4 link) w/removable wheelie bar, spool w/6.17 gears, 35 spline Mosers. Areospace brakes, QA1 shocks w/adjustable height linkage. “1946 willy’s CJ-2A dana 44s front and rear with lockers. Sm420 trans with a granny low and warn overdrive. Brakes and seats were replaced last year. Disk breaks in the front drums in the rear. It has a small block chevy v8 motor and plenty of power. It has some bondo on the hood and fenders but it is rust free and the tub is in good shape. Has power steering and other features. Very good rock crawler and will hit 70mph on the highway.”
Listed as a 1952, this looks to be an early CJ-2A.

It’s a combination of MB and CJ-2A and other parts, but it is a budget friendier flat fender option.

“1946 cj2a engine is rebuilt with new cam and lifters, bored with new pistons, crank was turned,valves regroups and everything else that goes with a rebuild. I got this out of a clean dry garage where it had been since 1981. I have all the parts to put it back together that are not in pics. Radiator, generator, starter, carb , full exhaust some of it is new. My next move was to do brakes and engine components. This Jeep has a rare Sears and Roebuck hardtop kit from the 60sinstalled on it. I have two extra engines and some other parts that I will sell after the Jeep goes. Price is $6500.
