Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Willys Jeep. In good shape, runs but needs work to be drivable. Has WW2 Ford Jeep engine install in it at this time (1942 GPW) Has some rust in the floor braces. Has new tires. Come with boxes of extra parts- gaskets, hoses, brakes, driveshafts, etc. Also includes extra axles with lockers and disc brakes, extra engine and transmission. Transmission has GM adapter. Clean and clear title in hand. If the ad is up, it’s for sale. Will not answer asking if it available. Low-ballers will be ignored.”

This modified CJ2A has a 1972 Ford Pinto engine, modified steering system and a Cj3a windshield. In the past year it has all new military tires and tubes, 15 inch rims, new right front hub, all new brake drums, new brakes, new carburetor, alternator and regulator and battery. Windshield wiper on driver side. Original transmission with added overdrive (55 mph on highway.) It runs well and will inspire you to continue to improve it. It’s a WILLYS JEEP. (07/14/2022) Any spotted this Lefty with a wrecker on the back. As he noted to me, this might be a Manley, though the Manley setup has a single support bar in front rather than two. Maybe it’s a modified Manley? No description provided.

“Selling my 1946 Willy’s Jeep. I do not need to sell this Jeep and I won’t unless my asking price is met or a reasonable offer is made. Just put this through the shop. And was fully serviced. Transmission was rebuilt before I bought it in 2018. I had overdrive from “Herm the overdrive guy.” (Thats his company name) installed on this in 2019. Also has a factory Willy’s Jeep heater that does work. Has the PTO out the back. With the drum pulley attachment which is rare. As well as the factory 180 lb tractor weight on the front.
