“Clean, classic rust free Arizona survivor! All major components freshened up or refurbished!
This classic Jeep 4×4 is road ready, drives great! Starts easy and reliably. Brakes are fresh. Fresh BFG all terrain tires. Over $11,000 in maintenance and repairs have been done over the past 8 years in a restoration effort. All of the work focused on rebuilding the mechanical systems as the body and tub are nearly pristine, with no evidence of rust or dents.
1946 Willys CJ2A
Original (refurbished) drivetrain
$11K in maintenance receipts past 8 years.
Low Miles / year.
Just no time to use it anymore.”
Mostly family owned.
“1946 Willys Jeep purchased new in 1948 by grandpa, went to dad, then to grandson. Has 68,000 original miles. These classic jeeps range from $5,000 to $50,000.00. MUST SELL asking $7,500.00 or b/o.”

“1946 Willys CJ2A with Bantam trailer: Jeep in Very Good condition inside and out. Trailer needs minor work. Runs good. Always Garaged.
Not necessary to purchase trailer with the Jeep, but the trailer will not be sold alone.
Jeep and Trailer- $10,000.”
Based on the pics, I”m not seeing a $40k jeep. Nice looking jeep.
“registered as 1950 ford, but is actually a early 1940’s. It has been painstakingly rebuilt from the body up by owner. Updated axles, transmission and engine. To many upgrades to list, but will answer any questions when you call.
Asking $40,000 since I currently have 50,000 invested! Less than 1,000 miles since completion of rebuild. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like any further information!”

Looks solid, but could use some better pics.
“Very nice condition , runs great , , restored and ready to use , brand new top included”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3900
The body is rough.
“This is a very early Civilian Jeep aka CJ 2A aka “Agro Jeep”. These early Jeeps still had the ax and shovel imprints on the driver side panel.
Originally it had the 3 speed column shift levers but sometime later on, this one had the shift tower replaced with the 3 speed shift cane. The transmission still has the linkage levers for the column shift.
This Jeep was used primarily as a Hunting Jeep/ Ranch Jeep. We cleaned her up and replaced the engine with a more period correct block. The replacement engine was not rebuilt but it checked out good and it runs great.
The brakes were also replaced and the most evident leaks were repaired.
Jeep drives good. It still needs some basic up keep but it’s a good runner / driver.
No title but all of the Data Plates are there. I will help with obtaining a title.”
Titled as a ’46, this looks more like a CJ-3A to me.
“Time to thin out my herd of toys. Titled as a 1946 but has a later Fhead engine, later windshield frame so who knows. The engine sounds pretty good, the gas is really old so stinks a little smoke, newer exhaust, new plugs, wires, filters, oil change etc. Has nealry brand new BFG ATKO tires, no rust, has good brakes, has a Saginaw steering box, runs and drives well but needs some “tinkering” Would be a good hunting Jeep. restore or leave as is.”
This might have a mb/gpw body.
“I have a willys jeep for sale . It has 4 brand new tires on it also have 4 spare tires, has a brand new carb. on top of a buick V6 with headers 2inch lift. brand new gas tank . new master cylinder for brakes. needs new brake lines . runs very good will climb a tree . gun racks tow bar . is a lot of fun in the sagebrush ,or just hunting”
No pics provided.
“1946 ORIGINAL CJ2A THE FIRST CIVILIAN JEEP PRODUCTION…. VERY LOW MILES AND ORIGINAL ENGINE IN PERFECT CONDITION. ONLY THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO DISC IN THE FRONT FOR SAFETY”
No pics provided. Glenn spotted this one.
“For Sale red 1947 CJ2A Jeep. In good condition. It is not a show Jeep… its a survivor. Lots of original parts as well as some Bubba modifications. It can be driven as is. I have two parts jeeps come with the jeep. Parts Jeeps are 1946 and in very rough shape… not complete! Pictures to follow… wanted to get this up while I was thinking of it. Divorce is forcing me to get rid of a very dear toy… I will miss it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
Doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of value.
“I have for sale a 1946 willys jeep it is all there except the motor it does come with a transmission and transfer case the frame has not been cut up or other thing welded to it needs to be restored or just put together you can put what ever motor you want in it I do have another original flathead motor that I can sell for 300.00 extra ive never herd it run but it does turn over easily does have a title I also have many other jeep parts and a couple other jeeps also this jeep would make a good project for restoration or rock crawler project.”
It looks like the windshield might be bent at the window.
“1948 CJ2A WILLYS JEEP all original parts, new engine 2 years old less than 100 miles, 4 wheel drive, in running condition. See photos”
Has some body rust, but runs and drives. It could be a good price.
“1946 cj2a willys jeep. It runs and drives. It has new bf Goodrich all terrain tires and new brake lines and brakes. It has the original go-devil 4 cylinder engine showing 80,000 miles most of which were towed miles back and forth up north. The body is in rough shape and would be a great candidate for a new body tub. I just have too many projects and need to clear out.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(04/16/2015) Engine runs, but still a project.
“1948 willys jeep Cj2a with original motor and transmission and has power take off
Engine runs just needs body to be bolted back on frame. Sold as is.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $13,000.
(03/22/2015) Good looking jeep.
“1947 WILLY’S JEEP, 302FORD ENGINE, C-4 TRANS, NEW TIRES, NEW RADIATOR, NEW BATTERY, WARN WINCH, LOCKING HUBS, ROLL CAGE AND TOW BAR”
It’s a package deal. Seems to me there are two complete CJ-2As, one complete CJ-3A and a parts CJ-3A.
“Four Willys Jeeps in various condition. All are titled. These Jeeps are getting more and more difficult to find and truly classic!
Will not part out and will not sell them one at a time. This is a package deal, take them all for $10,000.
Great way to build three extraordinary runners and have a fourth body and chassis for a miscellaneous project. Flat fours with three speed transmissions. Substantially original for the most part. 1949 is set up as full time 4WD.
Bring your trailers! Serious inquiries only. No third parties. Local sale only, will not ship.”
Nice looking militarized CJ-2A. I’m not sure how the numbers and wheels can be ‘correct’.
“Take a look at this extremely nice Willys Jeep that I am listing for my father, He is reducing his collection of cars and reluctantly decided to sell his Jeep. Tons of money has been put into this Jeep over the past few years including new paint with correct letters and star on hood, new seats and military top including side curtains, new bar tires and correct wheels, shovel and gas cans. This CJ runs and drives great and shows very well, people love this thing and spend a lot of time checking it out when its shown. ”
