Crate 350 Chevy with RV Cam, 4 speed T-10 Chevy Transmission, 4 bolt main, recently rebuilt Dana 18 transfer case, Dana 41 rear end also rebuilt, front warn locking hubs, rebuilt 675 quadrajet carb, recent painless wiring harness, brand new PRP seats, 5.38 gears, 4 point harness belts, 15 gallon fuel cell, roll cage, 3 inch rancho suspension lift, 32 inch super swampers, custom headers, flat tow bar, edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, power steering and a Cadillac steering wheel with tilt. Have the windshield , full rag top and doors but haven’t been on in some years. Owned this Willys for 13 years and its a fun desert and mountain toy! Handles Glamis without paddles, great in Ocotillo, and performs on trails. Need four seater for the family. “1948 Willys Jeep CJ-2a
This was an old farm jeep w/ 30,000 miles. It was driven on the road for 2/3 years. This was a father/son project (father is a mechanic). Transmission and transfer case rebuilt. New exhaust, exhaust manifold, tail pipe, muffler, fan belt, and wiring under hood. Motor has great compression. Runs great. Body has been redone to remove all rust and replaced with new metal. Lights, horn, heater all work great. New paint job is the new Wrangler Jeep’s Rescue Green. I have title. All running gear is original.
Great little jeep for driving around town and catching everyone’s eye or driving back into woods to get your deer.”

“I am selling my toy. It is a vintage 1949 Willys Jeep it is the CJ3A. It runs great and drives good. I took it for drives almost every weekend this last summer and it sure gets some looks. Four wheel drive works fine.

This Jeep would be a great candidate to bring it back to original or to just have a toy for slow cruising in.

Has the newer and better Willys F4-134 Hurricane 4 cylinder engine. I put a brand new starter, fuel pump and gas tank in it. The body needs to be painted and has some rust/dings, but nothing that could not be fixed. When they put the Hurricane engine in they fabricated a cheesy hood scoop that I had planned on replacing.
Has the drivers and passengers seats and I have a wood bench seat for the back.
These old jeeps are getting harder to find and there are many on Craigslist that are in much worse shape that are for sell for a lot more.

Last owner did a lot of work…body off clean to up of the frame, body work, 12 volt conversion with all new gages, carb.,new clutch, ring gear, mini 12 volt starter! 4cyl engine, 3 speed trans! Receipts for work the previous owner did and I have the paperwork for the clutch, ring gear and starter!
Four wheel drive and hi/lo works fine! Original 16 inch Willys wheels!
Overall ready to work or play…restore…or??
It is NOT a new Jeep…yes…there will be things to tweak, change, etc…that’s what makes a 66 year old Jeep too cool!

“This is a rusty dinged up jeep. Dont waste my time by coming to look at it just to tell me its rusty and dented. I know that and now you know that too. Bill of sale available to purchaser. No title.

Frame is solid. No structural rust damage at all. Gauges are intact. All running gear is in place and functional. When gas and battery are hooked up, jeep will will drive on its own power. New wires/plugs/coil/etc. Huge PTO powered Ramsey winch on the back. You can purchase COMPLETE original style steel body kits for these very reasonably. With a body kit, this would be an awesome little keep. Excellent bones. Vin plates/serial plates, are intact.”

Here’s one of the odder adds I’ve ever run across. The jeep looks pretty solid.

I have a vintage 1947 CJ2A Willies Jeep. It runs, has a new brake system and is in good shape. Needs body work tho, but not what you think – the tub is actually pretty good shape comapred to most older CJs.

This was the last “barn find” you would ever come across, an older gentlemen in Newville PA had it. A friend of his mentioned owning a jeep but leaving it in a barn. They dug it out from under all the hay and stuff and he sold it. It’s inspection stickers were from 1973, a year before it was put away. This is the sort of thing you read about in magazines.

However I am young man, bouncing from job to job. I live with my folks and they are none to happy about this, so I have no where to put it.

What I am offering is this – you store the vehicle, you get part ownership. Yes I do have a title for it, yes it is in my name. I’ve had this for three years now.

We work it out simple, you have a garage or something and I put you on the title. It still needs a restoration (mainly body work) but we can figure that out.

Basically this is your chance to have your own vehicle without all the hassles and a buddy to help out. It’s all orginal, runs and I have all the paperwork lined up. I’ve owned it for three years, before that it had only one owner – the 90 year old guy out in Newville PA.

The Four Wheel Drive works fine and the gears shift nicely. It has a few little things wrong with it that can be fixed while you drive and enjoy it. I have a NC Title in my name. “Jeep is in restorable condition. Most recently used as hunting lease vehicle. Tow bar is included. Gun rack, high lift jack, and tail gate electric feeder not included but available separately. Rear wheels do not roll due to bad pinion bearings. Engine will start and run, but is not firing on all cylinders. Floor pans rusted out many years ago and repaired with fiberglass in the front and steel diamond plate in the rear. As a lease vehicle it could be used as is with repairs to the drive train.”
