Here’s a VEC #11500 for sale over at the CJ2A Page (Thanks Bill).
This Jeep has no title. The transmission was switched to a later floor shift version. The transfer case may, or may not be original, the early style 4-rib park brake drum is present.
The engine is not the original chain engine, but it is a low serial number CJ-2A 33843, it looks like an early 1946 engine in it.

This looks like a great price and a fun restoration. It would be useful to see just how this was stretched. This could be a rare CJ-2L. This it the 5th one I have heard about or seen in the Pacific Northwest. You can see other stretched jeeps here. This looks like a good price. This almost looks like an old lefty, too.

“Up for auction is an original WILLYS 1946 CJ2A BOYER FIRE JEEP.

The jeep is in orginal condition. It appears it has been painted once. The engine runs nice and smooth, all driveline works. Engine has original governor. The mileage on the vehicle shows 2304 miles however the speedometer appears to be broken. Jeep has some rust issues: front floor especially under the tool box (rusted through), on back corner behind reflectors (both corners rusted through), otherwise the outside body, fenders, etc. are in excellent condition especially the windshield frame (have never seen one in that great shape for a 1946 vehicle!).
The jeep comes with all the accessories you see in the pictures. Unfortunately it didn’t come with the pump. It appears that the pump was removed many years ago. The jeep was stored inside for many years, we changed the fueltank and the exhaust system as we didn’t want to take a chance with the old one with old fuel in it. The old fuel tank is emptied and is included in the auction. It appears there were no leaks from the old fueltank. Most likely it will need to be boiled out.
The brakes need to be looked after as the brake pedal goes straight down to the floor however it moves freely.
We have a professional restoration facility for Willys Jeeps and in our opinion this would be a simple restoration because everything is there to do nice job. Fuellines, brakelines, wiring harness all original.
This vehicle comes without any warranties or guaranties. We have over 15 years of experience in shipping vehicles worldwide and will assist buyer with shipping/loading and paperwork.

It has an AMC 360 ci V8, T-18 granny 4-speed, Dana 20 T-case, Dana 44 30-spline rear axle, Dana 30 open-knuckle front axle with matching 3.73 gears, and 31×10.50 tires on chrome wagon wheels. Gauges work, tilt steering column, power steering, seats are aftermarket baja style racing buckets. Needs gas tank installed, has one rigged so you can hear it run. Many parts can be thrown in for the right amount of money. I’m asking $1750 NEGOTIABLE or TRADE for??? (04/07/2010) This body appears to be a CJ-2A or 3A. The grille is an MB. This appears to have some customizations, including a rear tank of some type.

(12/15/2010) Looks nice. Strangely, this doesn’t have a tailgate or a fuel inlet, but it does appear to have drain holes at the step. So, I’m not sure what this body is.

“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2a, its camo in color with custom front bumper with an old hand crank winch (on the hood of the jeep), and a PTO on back. Had the clutch rebuilt last winter. It does not run at this time, it ran last winter and with a little bit of time and a little bit of work you could have it running. It needs a new battery cable and solande.The wheels are locked up and the back right tire is flat, i tried airing it up. There is rust and the body is in very rough shape. Seats are Torn. (01/18/2011) This has a fiberglass tub. It does need some work.
“Pretty solid Jeep. Motor runs very good. Top is very good. 31×10.5 mud terrain treadwrights. only downside is the fiberglass tub. Needs very little done to it. What it does need are spring bushings and shackles which are pretty cheap and the storage bin that the passenger seat is mounted to. Was also converted to a 12v system but I think it still has the original generator, so it has a little bit of a hard time keeping a charge in the 12v battery on short drives. has original wheels. I have doors also. I just never mounted them, because I saw no purpose. $3000 obo.”

UPDATE: Mike notes in the comments that the pintle hitch was an option for the CJ-2As and bolts right up. So, this could be a CJ-2A frame with a pintle.
The serial number suggests this is a little late to be a VEC CJ-2A.
