(04/01/2021) Seller believes his great uncle used this CJ-2A in the war (WWII?). That obviously didn’t happen.
https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/d/long-beach-1947-willys-jeep-cj2a-for/7298128759.html
“My family has an old army jeep, it’s an old relic that has been very hard for us to let go. It’s a 1947 Willys CJ-2a that’s been sitting in our garage for 30+ years. Was my great uncles who was in the war and actually used this jeep! I wish we had the funds and resources to get this amazing piece of history drivable but it’s not realistic right now. The body is intact and everything is original. It doesn’t run and needs a complete overhaul because of how long its been sitting in our garage.
Fortunately, there are a lot of manuals online on how to do it.
I would love to see this jeep find a home to someone who would take good care of it and someone who wouldn’t mind staying in contact with my family so we could see the process of it being restored. and possibly have a ride in it once it’s finished being restored :)”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.

“1948 civilian Jeep project. Engine turns over freely. Have not tried to make run. Of course it has some rust in the body but it is a very restorable Jeep. Note the air cleaner, glass fuel bowl and headlight trim rings are sitting in the Jeep. Has title”
That seems an odd place to put a winch, but maybe it was only used for light items?
