“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3A
-runs and drives
-comes with full soft top with doors (not shown in pictures)
-extra set of wheels and tires”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
(01/10/2017) Has a few modifications.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3a. Zero rust! 3 speed manual, runs good. Brand new tires and wheels, new top. Engine and trans recently gone through. Black on black. Zero bondo, solid body and frame. 4×4
Seller inherited this project. Must sell it.
“Early 50’s willy’s is some what disassembledl, its all there – the seats. Was a project that I inherited.
I dont have the space or time, need it gone yesterday. The old building its in is about to come down 1st reasonable cash offer takes it home. Im sure I could part it out and get more out of it but I do not have the time. But please no low ballers trying to get lucky. $800 OBO”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500
This has had lots of custom work. The grille has been pushed forward, so the fenders and hood (Bobcat fiberglass) don’t meet at the grille.
“Trail ready flatfender. 289 mustang V8 with racing goodies. Spicer 18T-case. T-18 truck trans. Power steering. Lockers, Dana 44s, warn gear drive winch, YJ springs ride real nice. Full cage. Disc brakes all around. It’s nice , but not too nice to have fun with. Low gears so no highways, I think 5:38. I want to start another project.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500.
(12/13/2016) Looks like someone opened the hood and began spraying the engine compartment an OD color. The bottom side of the hoses are still black.
“1950 Willy’s Jeep (Civilian) – Runs great – good for parades and shows. Title and registration current.”
Could be $600 of value here. Seller has other jeep parts for sale, too.

UPDATE: Still Available.
(02/28/2017) This has an APU hood, which was formerly for sale on its own, but now the jeep is for sale. The jeep itself doesn’t appear to be an APU jeep.
“Selling an early 50s CJ3a parts jeep. It is only good for parts. The springs, frame, and body are all junk. It has a F-head engine with a USAF APU hood. The engine is stuck. The transmission, t-case, and axles all look ok. It has a Fisher plow frame welded on the bumper and a plow pump on the engine. It has good 16″ wheels and lockout hubs. The Kelly hardtop could be saved, it is for a cj-2a I think. $500 firm, cash only in Colchester, VT. Bill of sale only. I can load it on your trailer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9500.
Has a variety of updates.
“Jeep has a 302 ford engine, ford automatic C4 transmission. No rust, seats are in good condition, new gauges, nothing wrong with the jeep just don’t use it. 31×10.50 R15 Lt tires. Optima battery, has x3 super winch on the front.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3250.
(03/16/2017) Runs and drives, but requires hand signals. It is licensed as an ATV.
“This machine was built in 2005 and was titled as a special construction ATV, it is street legal (currently requires the use of hand signals for turn signals) the power plant/trans are out of a 2004 mustang fuel injected 3.8 V6 with approximately 60,000 miles, it runs and drives great and is mechanically sound, this jeep just needs someone to take the time to finish it and make it there own, it has a custom tow bar and it flat tows great, it has tons of power and is fun to drive, clean title in hand $4000.00 obo’
Price may be good. this might be a DJ body on a CJ chassis.

“1964 Willys for sale. It has a chevy 350 engine in it. Here is the rundown. I have owned it as a project jeep for about 6 months. I overpaid for it (my fault), and paid $4,200 for it, I have put roughly $2,500 into it from parts and paying a buddy (mechanic) to help (not including my own time). I am selling it because I am trying to buy a plane ticket for my girlfriend to go to the East Coast to see her grandma one last time. So, basically I need the money. I am up front and honest about the condition of the Jeep. The good and the bad about it. Ill start with what I have done to it/what is good about the jeep. The jeep does run, and I would say it runs well, but obviously it is not a finished project.
-New radiator
-New alternator
-New battery and battery box
-New fuel tank
-New starter and solenoid
-New battery shutoff
-Rewired most of the wiring
-Updated registration
– Has a soft top, but I have never used it

“1951 Willy Fire Truck. Completely refurbished in excellent condition. Fully equipped with fire equipment and hoses.”
Look solid.
“I have a 1950 cj3a new body original running gear runs and stops fine extra tail gate and hood newer tires grrreat lil rig won’t last long real nice”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3850.
The rear wheel wheels have been trimmed some.
“Very good project. New brakes drums and a new hub on one wheel, rebuilt starter, newer gas tank, new clutch pedal, and LOTs of new and used parts that I have for it, that have yet to be needed or installed, including electronic distributor, and a brake master cylinder. Its very mechanically sound. I had the head milled, and put a new head gasket on it. All it needs is a battery charge, and new gas and she’ll run and drive like the day she rolled off the assembly line. I have a mechanics manual for it too. Price is negotiable, however low ballers need not apply. I don’t have to sell it, and its garaged so I’d just assume keep it than let it go for a low ball price. Also keep in mind, its a project jeep, so if you pick it apart and tell me everything you find hoping to get it cheap, I’ll just walk away. I’m not an asshole, but this isn’t my first time selling on craigslist. Call or text.”
Could use more detailed pics, but looks promising.

“1950 CJ3A Willys Jeep
Rebuilt in the 80’s and modified with a Ford 289 engine.
Engine runs well, but could use a carb rebuild. 120 average compression; 49-50 psi oil pressure.
The rest of the drivetrain was rebuilt, but is original.
No noises from axles, transmission, and transfer case. All function fine. Four wheel drive is perfect.
Clutch works fine, brakes work but could use attention on the front passenger side.
Tires will leak air after a few days.
6782 miles since rebuilt, always stored inside.
Speedometer, oil pressure, fuel, amps and temp gauges all work.
Paint was never perfect, and there is some small rust staring to show.
Very fun Jeep!”
It’s a project.
“I have a CJ3a Willys Jeep for sale. I believe it is a 1953 model, but am not sure. I purchased it to restore, but never did. The Jeep is not running and is not complete. It’s missing a hood, gas tank, seat brackets, and miscellaneous other items. The body is not in great shape, but the frame appears to be in really good condition. I also have a spare motor (flathead), transmission, transfer case, and front and rear axles. The front axle need a chunk but the rear axle works. I have another frame as well. It’s basically two rolling chassis with one body. Also, I have a Ford 302 motor included. Will sell the Ford 302 separately, but prefer to keep the Jeep parts together. Cash only. No title or VIN due to age of vehicle, bill of sale only.”
UPDATE: Seller has a variety of ads, so the link below will bring them up. This is the link to the CJ-3A ad.
