“’54 Jeep. small block chevy it RUNS!!!, 3sp w/overdrive, 538 gears, 32 inch tires. minimul rust (I have fixed most of it and have floors and working on the rest. Intsalling new gas tank and fuel lines and seats and should be done with those soon. Its drivable now, but needs a few thing finished and I am working on them. I got this from the original owner. I listed it a few months ago whwn it was not running ans was rusty….now it is MUCH better!!”

Despite the paint job, this looks like a great price on a running CJ-3B.

If wiring the lights is all that’s left, then this might be a pretty good price. The body appears to be a replacement body, so it’s likely in very good shape.

(06/24/09) This is a nice looking CJ-3B, however I don’t think it will fetch the asking price. I’m gonna guess that the tranny is a T-15. I had a T-15 (with a built buick 225) in my last jeep and thought it was fine for both racing, jeeping and the road.

(11/19/09) This looks nice enough, though I’m not sure why the builder didn’t paint the extension body pieces. The frame looks to be a mid to late 70s, early 80s CJ frame as best I can tell.

This looks like a very nice CJ-3B for the price.
“Available now is my ’53 Willys Jeep. It appears unmolested – which is to say that it looks reasonably stock and is in very good condition for its age. Adult owned – garaged. Has a functioning 8-track tape player (and tapes) and a Johnson 23ch CB radio, too. Included (but not shown) is a rear cargo rack and a fold-down rear seat. Also included is a Bikini top. Mechanically, it has had all of the desirable modifications done: Buick V6, SM420 transmission, Saginaw steering, Warn winch, KC lites, etc. I replaced the entire suspension last year…new leaf springs, shocks, shackles…even new grease fittings! I’d consider trades for a very cherry Samurai, Toyota 4×4/4Runner, or maybe a small convertible sports car like a Miata. I have many pics of this Willys and would be glad to forward some to you. (03/22/2010) It runs and drives (the seller is getting it a tune-up). It sounds like the body might be rough. No pics, but it this might be a deal.
“Tan Jeep in ok condition. will be doing a tune up on it over the next few days and that should cure the problem it had with starting. once it starts up the vehical runs strong and works well. it comes with a new, in the box wiring harness made specifically for this vehical from Kaiser Willys that I never got around to installing. let me know if you’re intersted and we’ll get a time set up to look at it. also email me if you want pictures. it was buried in the garage when my roommate cleaned up last weekend so it will take time to dig out. ”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK THE VIN … THIS WAS A FUN ONE: The seller noted on ebay that this is a ’57, but it has the older, pre’57 dash. That raised a flag. So, I looked closely at the VIN: The first set of numbers are 55268 instead of 453 GB2. That VIN actually belongs to a 1956 Pickup Truck 6 cyl (226 ci) with 4wd with a serial number of 33836. See this service bulletin for the details.

“Willys Jeep CJ-3B , Rebuilt Original 4 cylinder Drivetrain, Original 6 volt elec. System. Added 6 volt electric fuel pump. many new parts and new tires. It’s been in my family for over 40 years. 37,000 Miles, always kept indoors. My Mechanic says it needs to be driven more and I don’t have the time anymore for play. I believe this is an ideal candidate for a total restoration to its original military appearance, which would at the least double it’s value, by ebay research.”
