Here’s a nicely modified 3B. I will be in Seattle this weekend.
“Built for hunting & summer fun. This Willy’s has been together a long time, old school built. Buick V-6, T-90 tranny, T-18 twin stick transfer case.
Dana 44 rear end with Detroit locker with Summer Brother axels. The front has a tru-trac locker. Both 538 gears, Excellent tires and wheels. Swampers 33×12.50, Warn 8274 wench, full cage, tilt wheel. List goes on.
This Willy’s is very well maintained. Adult owned and driven. I also tow bar for flat towing. Just like any other Jeep comes with extra parts. These pictures were taken two weeks ago and the wench and tires do go with the Jeep. This Jeep is not apart in my garage. This is a turn key Willy’s.
Thanks for your time.
This runs and ‘moves’.
“62 Willys. 3 speed, good frame,Engine starts right up. Could use points though. Front pass leaf pack broke. Does move,Brakes are very hard though. Been off the road for a long time. But EXCELLENT project. Price is $600 FIRM FIRM FIRM and NO TRADES. Call me 570-604-8763″
This might be worth a look.
“This was rebuilt about 20 years ago and has been kept in a garage. My father-in-law used to run it around the neighborhood for fun. Front tires are dry rotted and the brakes need work. Engine runs great and the rest is in good mechanical state. Has some rust spots and will need some work. Call 412-655-9793.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(09/05/2013) This looks good.

“1954 Willy’s jeep…has a 351 Windsor V8, 3 speed auto with a B&M Shifter Fuel Cell, new optima battery, cd player with a 1000 watt amp. 4 wheel drive with locking hubs…and alot of other stuff put into it. have all the receipts for the jeep. works great, great off-roading toy.”
Seller is trying to get it running. It has no title.
“Probably a 50′s Willys CJ3B
Has been in the family for decades, but has been in barn for maybe 20 years.
Still 6 volt. Transfer case seems to shift normally, but the transmission appears to be stuck in a gear. Has fat ag. tires on it, plus 4 original rims. No seats. Like I said, it’s a barn find; as-is where is. Price is negotiable.
I tried to turn the motor with a wrench and it wiggled, so I took out the plugs and put some oil in the cylinders and tightened the fan belt. It rotates easily just by turning the fan! I put a charger on the 18 year old battery and found that the solenoid works and the starter turns, but it is not engaging as of yet. May take a new battery or the starter may need to be lubed up a little. The Jeep is now on a truck at my house in Coinjock and will be heading to Richmond within another week if not sold. I still do not actually have time to tinker with this, but as I do the price goes up! If I get it running it will go up to $3500, right now I popped it up to $2000. These are getting very collectible, and though this one has some rust on the body, it has not been abused like so many jeeps of the past.”
Looks like the hood has been dented, too.
“I have a 1953 Jeep CJ3B with the original F-head motor, T-90 transmission, and Dana 18 T-case. Newly rebuilt solex carburetor, new plugs, and cleaned pcv valve and tubing. Motor runs great and starts easy. Transmission is smooth as is 4WD. Has full Koenig hard top and doors with all glass. The drivers side fender and area around the spare tire carrier are the only bad parts in the body. No rust I can find anywhere on the frame or body. Replaced all 4 shackles. New fuel tank, fuel lines, and brake lines. Replaced parking brake cable and works great. Needs front brake parts inside drum only. Back brakes are fine and would stop the Jeep before I removed the master cylinder which is still out but works. Front tires are brand new, needs 2 back tires but still hold air. Still have original oil bath filter and few misc other parts that I will load up with it. Call or text Josh at six four 0 nine 441 for any questions or more pics.”
UPDATE: This was sold in Phoenix in 2012. Now it’s for sale in Florida on eBay. The new seller is using the pictures from the previous eBay listing.
Flat fender high hood Jeep. This is a rust-free original Arizona Jeep, purchased new by the state of Arizona for use by Salt River Project Power and Water. The Jeep still has the original windshield with the SRP decal still intact. It was purchased from SRP surplus by a retired employee in the mid 80′s and has spent the last 25 years on his ranch in northern AZ, before being purchased and fully restored. Has original OHC 4-cylinder Willys Hurricane engine, 3-speed manual transmission and 4-wheel drive. Full frame-on cosmetic restoration was just completed including fully disassembling down to the bare tub, sandblasting and re-assembly. The Jeep was totally rust-free to start with, so there is very little filler and no patch panels. Engine was fully resealed and detailed to showroom condition. The complete suspension and braking system was rebuilt and upgraded to 11″ brakes from a later CJ5. Brand new wiring harness, starter, generator and regulator have been installed and tested. This Jeep has painstakingly been re-outfitted with all the correct original details down to the canvas straps, jerry can and shovel and axe mounted on the tub. Vacuum operated windshield wipers were added and all new handmade lines run. Also, the original period correct Motorola two-way radio used by SRP is still installed. Five new Firestone OE spec tires were installed to finish off this authentic and rare CJ3B.

“What you’re looking at is a 1953* Willys CJ3B Parts Jeep. It’s a bit far gone, I originally bought it as a parts jeep for my CJ3A, and now am in need of a bit of cash flow. I didn’t take anything off of it, it’s as is from where I bought it. There is an F-Head engine and transmission where the passenger seat should be, it is not included in this sale, if you’d like to purchase it or parts off of it please contact me.
-It has what I believe is the original Gas pedal, but the clutch and brake pedals are not original

(12/08/2012) There are some good detail shots of the rebuild.
“For sale is my 1954 Jeep Willys CJ3B. This Jeep was bought about 3 years ago and was used as a restoration project ( as you can see from the pictures ). Engine runs excellent. 4×4 was rebuilt, including the transmission and transfer case. The engine has a new starter, coil, spark plugs, rotor and cap, wires, and a rebuilt carburator. A new custom exhaust was installed by a local professional. The Jeep has brand new shocks, brakes, brake master cylinder, wheel bearings, new steering shock and also it was recently fully aligned. The Jeep starts perfectly, and drives like all other jeeps. It was fully restored, including the break down of all body panels, fully sandblasted, rust prevention spray, 3 coats of primer, and then the final original paint color. All dash gauges and lights work, and the dash includes the original Jeep Willys 4×4 instruction plate. It has a Ramsey Winch on the front, which is controlled by a remote from inside and outside of the Jeep. As you can see in the pictures, there is an electric hookup for towing the jeep that allows the jeep’s lights to be used in towing. Since restoration, my CJ3B has been garage kept and only driven for enjoyment on the streets. This Jeep is perfect for anyone who is looking for a exceptionally unique Willys which is in perfect mechanical and physical shape, that can add upgrades to increase their enjoyment.”
This looks like a good price. See the ad for a phone number. I suspect this will go fast.
