UPDATE: Don noted that this was for sale in March and included a plow. The plow has been removed and now the jeep is up for sale again.
This has a newer motor. It runs and drives.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3B Has 2.3L Ford 4cyl engine swap. Well done swap, runs smooth and is very reliable. Has new plugs, wires, air and oil filters. Engine is mated to the stock 3spd manual tranny and transfer case. Power steering was added as well as a tilt steering column. 4wd works very well and has brand new lockouts.
The entire frame has been boxed and is extremely solid. Entire chassis was painted when disassembled. Has new front and rear leafsprings and hardware. This Jeep is very tight and goes down the road straight. Tires are in excellent shape.
All the gauges work as well as the high/low beam headlights and rear turn signals/brake lights. Has a functioning heater as well as a working windshield wiper
This appears worth a look.

“Awesome deer lease Jeep! I bought this instead of a UTV.
Lots of work done to this. Parts widely available. Easy to work on.
Runs like a dream. This is ready to go hunting today. It’s registered as an antique vehicle and could be street legal (not safe) in a day.
All 3 of my kids learned to drive a standard on this and work on it including my 14 year old daughter.
I don’t want to sell but am being forced to clear out the toys due to finances.”
Carpeted inside for tenderfoots.

I believe this runs. It has a military passenger fender. It’s got a nice cage. And it has an overdrive. It’s worth a look for sure. Not a great description.

It’s a project.

The trunk is an interesting feature.
“There is nothing more rugged and endearing than a Willys Jeep. . .especially one from the early 1950s with some patina. This 1953 Willys CJ3B is almost completely original and has acquired some battle scars over the years. Nothing serious. . .just enough to add some character. If you’re into off-roading or just want a beast to drive around, this Willys with a factory Hardtop, just may be the ticket for you. I know I have had a blast with it over the past 18 years cruising around my property high in the Colorado Rockies. This CJ3B is listed with a starting bid of $1,000 and a reserve well below what it is worth.
4WD doesn’t operate. It’s listed as a M-38A1.
“1952 Willys M38A1 military jeep. Excellent condition. Perfect for shows, parades, and display. New fuel pump, new starter. Includes top canvas and side curtains. 4-wheel drive does not operate.”
There might be some value here.
“Good for restoration or parts. Tub is repairable but rough. Last ran 10 yrs ago. New fenders and windshield frame included.”
No pics provided.
“CJ3B Willys Jeep, ’58, runs good, body in good shape”
No pics provided.
“I have a 1964 Willy’s Jeep CJ3B for sale, it is the complete vehicle, to my knowledge original drivetrain (motor, transmission, twin stick transfer case, driveshafts, axles), minus the body. I have the front grille with headlights for it, but other than that there is no body. would be a great restoration project to restore a really cool machine. I’ve found places that sell complete fiberglass body kits and steel body kits for these vehicles, in the price range of $2g-$5g. The motor will need to be rebuilt, complete rebuild kits are sold online. other than that I don’t know a whole lot about it, i picked it up from a neighbor, and just don’t have time, money, or space to restore it. It ran and drove about 7 years ago, the neighbor used to use it as a plow truck. It comes with a tow bar. if you have any questions or are interested in seeing it, please call or text me using the contact info link. My name is Drew. thanks for looking.”
This June 1st auction includes a nice looking 1977 CJ-5 and 1954 Willys Jeep (unsure of model). Pics of the CJ-5 are included.

1954 Model?: “Early H-2 Frame w/new Willys Overland body, 4 cylinder, 3 speed manual transmission, 2-speed transfer case, beautiful red show quality paint with black interior. Restored better than showroom quality with approximately 1300 daily driven miles. Turn-key ready to go. SHOW STOPPER, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!”
Runs and drives.
“Runs perfect. Good tires. This was the first production year of the CJ3B. Text or email questions.”
Looks like a good price.
