Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It doesn’t quite run, but might not take much to get it to ‘running’.
“I have a great project vehicle for the right person-a 1966 Willy’s CJ5 Jeep. It needs a starter, clutch, and a gas tank. The body is a little rough, but fixable. It has a Dauntless V6 engine and has a clear title. It has been garage kept for the past three years. Take a look!”
There might be some value here. The seller also has a 55 Willys pickup body with title $200.

1948 Willys Jeepster, 2wd, at one time someone has installed a small block chevy and tranny and a different rear end but never completed the job. This car has little to no rust, has been painted blue over the original yellow, has original bows and hardware for the convertible top. These are hard to find, only made them for a few years. (06/27/2011) Looks good for the price.
“Mostly orginal jeep in need of some work. The floors need replaced or fixed and the windshield chanel is rusty, but this jeep is worth fixing. It has a v6 buick engine which has 18,000 orginal miles. I strongly believe the miles are correct because i purchased it off the orginal owner. The gas tank has rust in it so u may be able to flush it or have to replace it don’t know. It’s four wheel drive an i thing it would be a blast to drive if fixed up. I just flat out have way to many projects on my hads, an it will be years before i reach this one thats why im selling. you can here the engine run briefly before it runs out of gas. Sorry about the last posting my computer went down right after i posted it. I want so of my money back out of it so i could say 1,500 or 1,200 and go down. “Up for a sale is my 1965 “Willy’s” Jeep, 4 WD works great, Org Jeep alloy wheel’s, 4 CYD Hurricane (Org) engine, no dent’s, little rust just in one spot on back panel, new fuel pump, new tune-up, all light’s+electric work well, original paint (Lime Green) is in very good shape, runs like a watch, and will go anywhere, snow=no prob, has clear title in my name, priced for quick sale, ”

“1965 Willy’s Military Style Jeep, 4 cyliner, 3 speed stick with Hwy Gears. Was told it was Military style because of way the spare tire mounts and the snorkel area on the hood. Some rust, but not too bad. Needs a panel replaced behind driver seat. Smokes when she runs, maybe rings are worn? But runs well.
Needs Brakes, the master cylinder dried up. Fun to play with in the woods though. Probably a lot of work to put on the road, but fun as an offroad toy. Asking $500 OBO, may consider dirt bike or quad trades

(01/11/2011) This might not be a bad price. It has an unusual tilt front clip.
“I’m selling a ’68 CJ5. It has a Chevy small block (350) and a Muncie M21 transmission. It has manual brakes and steering. It runs, but it I think the carb needs adjustment. The clutch pedal is stiff because the linkage is binding up. The hood flips forward which make it easy to access the motor. (I think it was an old military jeep M38 A1.) It has a few dents and some rust. It comes with a roll bar. I don’t know much about the suspension, but it has brand new rims and BF Goodrich tires. It’s a nice little project Jeep. $1700 or best offer.”

This looks pretty solid for the price. The year is 1955 or later, but that’s not a big deal.

What I love about this ad is that the jeep is priced at $895 in the title, but then the seller notes he won’t go lower than $800. So, maybe $800 is the price?

Its 4×4 which work great and it will go in any ditch or river and will come out. Every thing is ORIGINAL besides tires and seats. Need tail lights. Has some rust. Clear title. Price is FIRM $1200.”
