About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This has a curious halftop. It looks like the Jeep-branded Koenig-manufactured hardtop, but in a half-size version. I’ve seen no documentation that this ever existed.
“Good shape it has a 4-way plow new tires great plow machine small gets in anywhere , minimal rust has been patched up ,very slow not for highway use ,will take trade”
“CJ5 JEEP 4×4 Plow truck Willy’s by Kaiser Jeep Corporation 1960. With Title Factory Locking Hubs. Starts and Runs but needs tune up. Brakes need work. New clutch. Spare fiberglass cab top. Plow cylinder needs repair.
It started life as a 1975 Jeep CJ5 Chassis. As near as we can tell, it was converted when new into a street-sweeper by the PB Loader company (which is still in existence today). Sometime later in life, someone got the bright idea to remove the street sweeper broom and replace it with a 62 inch quick attach skid-steer style snowblower (Ford 715 Model). We understand that the PB loader company made a similar model for airport tug use.

“54 Jeep Willy’s has as a CJ5 rust free frame completely sandblasted and undercoated also have VIN number and title for the frame the Jeep does not have a title straight 6 motor 4 speed transmission was told the motor runs but it does not have a carburetor. i Have the original frame to go with it has all suspension everything else has been stripped. plastic off-road seats has a set of 35 mud tires that go with it”
THIS INFO ABOUT THE FRAME IS FROM A March 16, 2018, ad:
“THIS IS A FRAME FROM A 1970 JEEP CJ5 CAMPER. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I BOUGHT THE JEEP & CAMPER IN 1970 NEW IN SO. CALIF.
WE MADE A MOVE TO OREGON IN 1990 & I DISMANTLED THE CAMPER BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING BADLY & MY THOUGHT WAS TO BUILD A NEW CAMPER ON THE FRAME. I NEVER GOT TO IT. I SOLD THE JEEP A FEW YEARS AGO & NO NEED FOR THIS FRAME.
THE CAMPER WAS MADE BY EL DORADO CAMPERS IN RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA. THEY MADE CAMPERS FOR PICKUP TRUCKS & THIS WAS EQUAVALENT TO AN 8 FOOT PICK UP CAMPER.”

Steve shared this jeep for sale. Looks like there’s parts value.
“No engine or trans No paperwork No trades Have sheet metal cut for rust spots on floors Has tag on firewall Frame is good except for up front where bumper mounts needs to be welded”
Jordan spotted this one. This pretty stock jeep is in rough shape, but includes an overdrive. The serial number indicates it was built in 1966 and the “C16” in the middle of the serial number prefix and suffix indicates it is a Canadian-built left-handed jeep with a factory V-6.
Body has some rust and at least one floor patch. I haven’t seen the front loop of a roll cage attach to a dash with just one bolt on each side like this one.
“1962 Willys Jeep CJ5 Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service Brush Truck 6. I do not have documented proof that this was an original fire Jeep but if it wasn’t someone went thru a lot of trouble to make it one. Starts, runs, stops and drives well. Prior to my ownership it appears to have been re-wired and a new generator was installed.
Looks like there’s value here. This has a Ramsey PTO and Winch.
“Would guess it’s a 50s willys Jeep. Has a good grille and looks like a pto driven winch. Drivetrain and frame still there. Would like to sell as a whole. Saw the winch alone for 600 on eBay. Would be great if someone wanted to part out what’s left.”
“All original as far as I know. Snow plow and Hydraulic pump was installed in 1960 as well. Runs and drives good. Everything works good for its age.
Firm on price!”
“Early 1950’s Jeep 4×4 ..4 shifters…no title from Arizona, Bill of sale 1,400 ask for more info.has rare over drive and Runs well! Also have video of it running”
Looks in good shape, though the bottom isn’t quite as clean as the topside.
“1957 Jeep Willys CJ5. Runs great!! Just got it NYS inspected. Hardly any rust on it. All original, not restored. This was a mint barn find from original owner. Only 33,000 miles on it. In great condition for an original 57 Jeep. Only reason I’m selling it is because it’s in such great condition I’m afraid of using it to go off road. I don’t want to damage it, I’d rather sell this to someone who can appreciate the historical value. Like I said, runs great I’ve been driving it around for a couple months now. I just put new brake lines, hose, pads, wheel cylinders and master brake cylinders on it. Along with a new carb.”
“1955 Willy’s CJ5 1st year CJ Ran and Drove when parked 5 yrs ago ( no 6v battery to get it started)
has a 6ft plow to go with no title no lowballing $2000”
“It has to go! She is getting upset! Price drop…First one to show with $3750 cash takes it home. 1957 Jeep Willys CJ5. 3speed with overdrive. New brake master cylinder. Tilt wheel. Very good body. Runs great. I believe it is the Chevy 4cyl 153 cu in. Not sure on the mileage. Unfortunately I can only tell you what I was told when I bought this on September 4th, 2019. I can give you the number of the person who sold it to me. Was told that it was part of a divorce settlement and that it sat in storage for the last 15 years. The reason I am selling this Jeep is that I was supposed to be looking at a boat the day I bought the Jeep. She said I don’t need another vehicle. I drove it around the community 3 times since Sept. 4th and that’s it. Needless to say, the Jeep has been sitting in my shop since I bought it. Come take a look. It’s a nice rig. Thank you, Woody”
UPDATE: Maury shared a TV commercial that accompanied the Hamm’s beer ad campaign shows in the stickers below. For those old enough to remember Grizzly Adams, which I watched as a kid, it sure feels like an episode of that show. It turns out there was a John “Grizzly” Adams (1812-1860), upon whom the movie/show may have been based, who lived a pretty wild life.
