“OBO NO TRADES! CASH ONLY!”
John shared this militarized CJ-5. Though not restored to original, it looks like this was a nut and bolt rebuild at some point. It seems worth a look given the price.

“Fully rebuilt motor and transmission new tires brakes canvas top and seats. Has been sandblasted and painted about 10 yrs ago.”
UPDATE: This one is still available.
(09/30/2023) This may be worth a look. The Koenig half cab looks in good shape.

“A 1955 Willys Jeep Coupe hardtop 4×4 4-speed 4 cylinder new carb runs with snow plow and hydraulic lift works”
UPDATE :**SOLD** Was $4000.
It doesn’t run at the moment, but is supposed to have a solid body.
“Universal CJ5 Open Body is in good condition – no known rust. PTO winch and built-in tow bar on front bumper. Been stored under cover during present owner +/- 10 years. Comes with new Solex carburetor purchased through Jeepsterman recently. New 6 volt battery. Odds are good that it will run when replaced. Ran previously. Back bench seat included.”
This appears worth a look.

“So, this has been in my family for quite a while. Believe my great grandpa ‘created’ this back in the 80’s and would mainly use it as a hunting vehicle. To my understanding mostly all the exterior is fiberglass, cab space is mainly sheet metal, engine and chassis are from an old jeep (willys jeep or jeep CJ) sometime in the 1940’s-60’s. Price is OBO, if you think you have any info on the chassis and engine based on the pictures let me know, I would like to learn more about it myself. Have the cylinder head and other parts but are in kind of rough shape as you could assume”
Update: As John points out, the body, chassis and fenders aren’t from ‘55.
The Meyer half cab might be in good shape. Hard to tell what shape the body is in.

Blaine shared this low mileage CJ-5 (17K plus miles). There are some great vintage details on this rig.

“1971 CJ5 jeep renegade 1
17,400 miles original orange paint. One owner had for many years used to plow snow only. Factory ordered hard top and dealer installed snow plow. Body is in excellent condition with only surface rust in places. original tires appear to have been recapped. Original pin stripe seats, dauntless V-6. 3 speed manual with warn overdrive. Amazing survivor collector piece”
This has one of the odder front bumpers I’ve seen. The jeep appears to be solid with a Beck or Kelly hardtop. Note what may be a King Seeley 0-8 speedo.

“Very nice 1955 Jeep cj5 with the original F head engine 3 speed manual and aftermarket locking front hubs. Shifts smooth and runs great all gueges seem to work and have done a partial rebuild on the engine, with 2 new pistons and new head gasket along with a new valve cover gasket electric wiper and fuel pump installed. Let me know if you have any questions, and I am open to offers, just let me know.”
This looks to be a 1970 body or later given the rear fuel inlet. Are those summer hubs? I can’t tell for sure.

“Late 60’s CJ5 PROJECT for sale. Very fixable tub with a great frame that has been cleaned and painted. New aluminum radiator, new soft touch clutch, timing set, rear main seal as well as oil pan gasket. Have swing pedals and power steering setup that will go with it as well as gas tank and heater. Also have the side glass for top.”
This CJ-5 was modified to dig post holes.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1015076379624158
“This is a highly modified Jeep designed to dig post holes. It’s a 78 CJ5, in running order and comes with a 6″, 9″, and 12″ auger. I think it can dig as deep as 6′. The best part about this design for digging holes, is the passenger seat faces backwards and has all the controls for driving.”
UPDATE: The price is now $1000 (previously no price).

Mark shared this ad. Over all, this looks solid. It likely have a replacement body, as it lacks the faux battery box lid. It does have reverse front springs, so the frame may be original. This also has the King Seely 0-10 early speedometer, which only came with CJ-5s. This does lack the PTO bar in the rear. I think to secure the windshield it is using the Advance Adapter latch kit.

“I will address current condition, this jeep has no title, you can get in lieu of bond for it, its a really easy process, i will provide a bill of sale which you will need for that process, its all but road worthy, needs new master cylinder, brakes bled etc.. it has a new battery, it will start and run, clutch works, goes into gear, t case shifts in and out of gear, this is still a project, you cannot drive it home, no i do not know how fast it goes, it has the 4 cylinder engine, twin stick Dana 18, offset rear end, the gas tank is clean, the engine runs off of the mechanical fuel pump that is on the engine, it does steer, most of the lights work, yes it has rust, show me any old jeep or vehicle that does not have rust, the price is 1500, that price is firm, would be a cool mountain rig, kid/parent project, please serious inquiries only,”

Barry let me know that Nate is selling this CJ-5 Farm Jeep. It includes a rare restored Stratton Lift that Barry highlighted here: https://www.farmjeep.com/lifts/stratton-lift/stratton-lift-restoration/
View all the information on eBay
Engine (F134), transmission (T90), transfer case (Dana 18) and axles (Dana 25 front, Dana 44 rear) were all rebuilt by the previous owner. The three point hitch is the hardest to find of all the ones used by Willys. It is a Stratton lift. All the lifting devices are under the bed which keeps the bed open. PTO is operational and comes with a 90 degree belt pulley.
There is a Novi governor on the engine and it is not hooked up. Brakes were upgraded to 10″ drums by the previous owner as well. Body has dents and dings. Only rot is in the hat channel behind the spare tire. Floors are really nice. See pictures for body damage. Has venting windshield and the glass is broken. Also has most of the original soft top bows.
Comes with original side steps and some other spare parts. Also has the regular seats if the buyer does not want the 60-40 bench seat. Lift arms are reproductions copied off originals. I have the templates and new decals along with other information that goes with the lift. Under the tub is good and the frame is not rotted or broken anywhere. There are helper coil springs in the rear. This is a very solid and original jeep. I rebuilt the lift cylinder three years ago. I have a clean title in my name. The jeep originally came from Washing state. Some of the lights do not work. Tires are old and have cracks, but they work just fine.”
Blaine spotted this really neat model of a Jeep CJ-5 Camper setup. It’s pretty neat model and unique model that I believe is about 3″ long. It is shipped from Mannheim, Germany. In the post below this one, there’s some history about the camper inventor.
