Engine ran when stored. Seller has the A1s confused with the M-38s. Ford only produced 2,135 M-38s in Canada. Ford produced many more M-38A1s in three lots through 1971: M-38A1 CDN, M-38A1 CDN2, M-38A1 CDN3.

Seems to be sitting a little heavy in the front, but that could be the way it’s parked. It’s not been restored to stock specs (brake lights and front parking lights for example), but it looks perfect for a parade or having fun.
“1962 M38A1 Willys Jeep with less than 30,000 original miles. Recently restored to good condition and has authentic numbering system consistent with military issued numbering. “For sale is a 1952 former USMC Willys M38A1 Jeep. This Jeep was, until last year, used at a deer hunting ranch behind Mt. Hamilton for the last 40 years. It was painted in orange until last fall when I put it back in olive drab. It has the correct Hurricane 4 cylinder engine and runs fine. I tuned it up and replaced the exhaust manifold. The seats are new, as is the glass, tires, rims, turn signals, tail lights and bikini top. The body isn’t perfect, but what do you want for a 62 year old veteran?! All gauges, except the speedometer work. She ain’t fast but is a hoot driving around town with the windshield down. Perfect for a weekend ride or ranch property. $6500″

“1953 WILLYS M38A1 MILITARY JEEP 35,300 MILES VGC
For sale is an original 1953 Willys Military M38A1 Jeep. I obtained this Jeep from the McClure Fire Department in Ohio several years ago. It was occasionally used to plow their parking lot and was stored indoors for the most part. It still has many of the military accoutrements such as the convoy blackout marker lights, H.D. bumpers, waterproof ignition, 24 V. electrical system and illuminated high/low red dash lighting.

Brakes have been redone and a new high performance starter has been added. The 1953 Military Jeep has a few unique features including a tilting radiator support and a battery box with 8 thumb screws. A few safety features added including removable roll cage and seat belts. This jeep is mostly original condition and is a very fun vehicle. It was converted to 12 volt system. Don’t be fooled by people who claim they have a military jeep and it’s just a CJ with green paint. Has a few oil leaks but runs well. I am selling it for $5400 obo.”
