Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I’m cleanIing out my shop and came across some neat old Willys Jeep sales and service signs my grandfather had many years ago…… there 25″ wide x 27″ high and both are double sided. Unfortunitly, they were outside and are in rough shape, but neither are dented, misformed, or have any holes in them. Just rusted in spots and faded. I also have 25 parts drawers full of new Willys Jeep parts. Mostly small stuff…… gaskets, seals, bushings, springs, etc….even seen a package a new piston rings.and most are still in the original Willys part package.
Asking $400.00 for everything….or. best offer takes it, and I’d be happy to sell somethings seperate too. Whatever works best.”

UPDATE: Price dropped to $250
(04/08/2011) This looks like a CJ-5/m-38a1 cage. You can tell because the front loop bend is pretty high, compared to low hood flatfender frontloops where the bend should start lower, and the front loop is the same width as the rear loop (thanks HOG).

You’ll note in the top left pic that the door looks dented. Apparently, that’s actually part of the design. You can learn more about the Civilian Arctic Top on the CJ-3B Page.

I have this chrome scattershield I doubt I’ll be using. There weren’t many made, so it is an unusual piece.

“Not too long ago I purchased a 1943 Ford GPW Jeep and it came with this hardtop already on it. I got it from a farm in eastern Washington near Yakima and was used as a cold weather top. Since I am in the process in restoring the Jeep, I’m not going to put the hardtop back on my Jeep, so it has to go! The top is from a late 1920’s to early 1930’s Ford, Chevy, Dodge or Buick. It has suicide doors, original rear view mirror and a windshield wiper motor (see photos). The body is sliver in color with red primer in places. It has a hole in the roof which is covered by a plywood board, which that whole area would have been cloth at one time. The windows on the doors are plexiglass and the rest of the glass windows are cracked bedsides the one on the driver’s side. Very restorable with minimal rust and no bad cancer areas.”
