Wish we could see more of the jeep. The Jockey Ridge Sand Dunes show here are the tallest sand dune system in the Eastern US. This area is now Jockey Ridge State Park. I’m guessin that driving over the sand dunes like the jeep below isn’t possible anymore?

I can’t tell if this is a photgraphic studio prop jeep or a movie studio prop jeep.
“Original World War II Real Photo Postcard, (An actual photograph), Postally Unused. Women in Unusual Military Jeep Studio Prop. The photo’s in very good condition, but does have a band of very fine cracks running vertically up the middle of the photo, about 1″ wide. They are extremely fine and not visible at all unless photo is held in reflected light. It has very sharp detail, better than scan”

Here’s a neat postcard from the 60s(?).
“Colorado Postcard of Colorado Rockies Jeep Road – Photo by William A. Sanborn. These roads wind between Ouray and Telluride. Measures approximately 6″ x 4″. Has scalloped edging. Card is slightly bowed and corners are dinged (see pics.).”
1960 West Yellowstone Postcard with 3 Jeeps on eBay
The jeeps aren’t really big, but there appears to be a flattie, a CJ-5 and a wagon or truck.

Vintage Postcards Salt Water Canyon Inn, Arizona

Route 60 runs between Apache Junction and Globe Arizona. After taking the time to ponder the exact location of Canyon inn on highway 60 if it still existed today, I came up empty. Anyone know where they Canyon Inn might be or have been?
The green FC-170 appears in two Canyon Inn postcards, leading me to conclude it was a regular fixture there for a while. Note the colorful wagon in the first postcard.

Canyon Inn on Route 60, Salt River Canyon, Arizona.
This pic would have been taken n late ’50s, with Mercury wagon being newest of the lot. Neat Jeep FC, a couple of old Chevys and another Jeep, a station wagon.
Size is standard: 5.5×3.5 inches.
Card was not mailed
Condition is excellent: C-9 with a couple of tiny edge dings only.”
2) “Vintage Divided postcard of CANYON INN, SCENIC SALT RIVER CANYON ON US HIGHWAY 60, AZ. Published by NORMS PUBLISHING HOUSE, TEMPE, AZ. The postcard was never postally used. There is no correspondence on the back of postcard.”

The Prehistoric Forest & Mystery Hill park in Marblehead in Ohio once featured these jeep trains. I guess jeeps and dinosaurs go together? The park closed at the end of 2010 based on what I’ve read. There is no date associated with the below card.

I’m really wondering about the text on the back of this card. I can’t tell what it is promoting. The title claims this is Bruce Minard a gold prospector in Red Hill, Mojave, California.

1950s Real Photo Postcard near Atlanta, Idaho on eBay
This RPPC or Real Photo Postcard was taken near Atlanta, Idaho. Though I wanted to check out Atlanta, I never made it while I lived in Idaho. It’s lodged in the remote hills north east of Boise. Founded in 1855, it still has a post office. It seems it had some other claim to fame, but that bit of trivia escapes me at the moment. You can learn more here.
