“I have a Bantam Trailer which is from the late 40’s or early 50’s made in Butler PA. It was originally red in color if that tells you anything, obviously a civilian model with the tailgate. (Military issue tailgate did not fold down as it had to be watertight and float.) In any case this trailer is all there and could be used as is if you re-wire the lights. It has some rust but is a solid piece. The all important cast iron tongue, landing leg and hitch is functional and intact. Unfortunately I do not have a title for it. I inquired and it can be had w/some paperwork. If I get the title the price will increase.
I will send pics if you are serious… but you know what they look like.
It still has the original wheels, tires, lights and tailgate and it rolls easily.
I’m somewhat flexible on the price, I restore antique vehicles and will eventually get to this. Restored they go for $1700+”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
Rusty. Seller will consider offers.
“Willys trailer with brass tag.
Some history of what I know about it;
Back of trailer was cut out at one time and used as a tailgate, still have rear panel
Tongue removed and ‘upgraded’ at one time many years ago
Parking brake still in place
Wheel bearings move nicely – tires not good
Come take a look and make an offer”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500. The price includes a Bantam trailer.
(08/20/2017) Passenger seat isn’t installed. Appears worth a look.
“Currently does not run. I think it’s a carb problem. The engine is getting fuel spark and air so I assume it’s a mixture problem. Other then that when it does run, it’s good. Purrs like a kitten. 4×4 works. I’ve never had it off road. Well if you call being on some grass off road, then it has been. The tub looks good. It’s not really that great. It’s been patched… poorly. I got it to drive around and maybe fix later. I can’t afford to do that so it’s for sale.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $550.
Tim spotted this steal on a Bantam trailer.
“Selling to settling estate of father in law. Extra set of tires and wheels. Rack is removable.”

Marcus shared his trailer for sale. I don’t know anything about them, but it sure looked like a handy one for packing stuff.

“1949 Willys CJ3A Fire Engine Jeep. This is a Boyer conversion. This jeep is very complete, original, and unrestored. This jeep has less less than 3200 miles on the odometer. Lots of the original accessories are still place. I understand that some of the nozzles are collectible.
The jeep has been in long term storage since it was taken out of service in 1980. The jeep is not currently running but the engine is not stuck. It will turn over by hand. The jeep was driven into the storage building that I found it in. I bought this jeep from the first civilian owner. Since this is an all original jeep, I have done nothing to it. I have not even washed the nearly 40 years of dust off of it. You are getting a very complete and untouched original fire engine jeep here.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
This might work for someone. Axle has been swapped out.
“1942 Willy’s Military Battle Trailer (MBT)
Original data plate included.
Currently sitting on a 5×4.5 3500lb Dexter axle exactly the same width as a Jeep TJ.
Stock axle and wheels included.
Also has landing leg and parking brake handle.
Good solid trailer, I’m just in need of something different.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
Needs some work.
“I have a 1947 Bantam T3-C trailer in need of some freshening up. Comes as shown with Bill of sale only. I’m also including a sheet steel tub that I had made, it is the correct size to replace the rotten deck, with enough material on the sides to replace as much as you’d like.
My plan was to restore it and make a camp trailer to tow behind my Jeep. This would be a great choice for a Willy’s trailer to tow behind a CJ2 or similar.”
Includes a trailer. The tires of the jeep look a little wide of the trailer grooves.
“This Korean War Jeep is a HUNTER SPECIAL M38A1; has the Original Drive Train, New Tires, New Rear Brake System, Rifle Rack on Dash and a Bikini Top, with Camo-Painted trailer built to haul the jeep. Clean Title, 4×4 works great, 1 7/8 hitch. Moving, so need to sell”
