1960 Wagon Arlington, Ma Make Offer

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

The seller has attempted to be honest in noting that while it might look similar to a Maverick Wagon, that look was not original.  That said, the suggestion of using NADA as a guide for pricing this suggests the seller may have an unrealistic price in mind.

“1960 Willy’s Jeep Rear Wheel Drive Station Wagon / 83,000 Original Miles / MUST SELL BEFORE 1-20-10 FOR BRO

• 83,000 original miles
• Original 4 Cylinder Flat Head Engine
• Three speed manual w. overdrive [original 60’s Jeep transmission, not original to this car]
• Custom ‘Maverick’ paint and side trim package [‘period’ but not original]
• Chrome grill and hood ornament
• Excellent heater/defroster
• High quality contemporary AM/FM radio w. cassette and four speakers

Third owner, in excellent restored condition until stored outside on dry asphalt for four years. He now needs a new home where he can have the following:

• Valve job
• Repair of a leaking brake line and a new battery
• Replacement of lower door panels, rocker panels, the hinge and skirt for the lower tail-gate, the body mounts … all readily available at reasonable cost
• A fresh repaint

In the last picture you will see Willy as he appeared prior to going into storage … and to return him to that condition … the above is all he needs to keep his next family smiling for another 20+ years.

Look at Willy’s low original mileage, his excellent condition above the rocker panels, and the NADA values and other Jeeps on the internet … then make a reasonable offer … and Willy can be yours!”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer

As usual, the folks at the Israeli Bureau of eWillys have spotted another unusual vehicle.  I *think* this is a combination of a CJ-3A body, willys truck/wagon fenders/windshield, a cj-3a hood and grille, and some creativity.  But I could be wrong….

“Selling Willys jeep. Doesn’t run. Has a straight flat six cylinder motor. Comes with 4×4 rear PTO wench and welder generator. Frame is in good condition.”

1962 Wagon Indianapolis, In $1700

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I don’t see too much rust on this.  It might be a good price.

“Willys Wagon four wheel drive. All original, 67K miles, interior complete and in good shape, dash not chopped up, 226-6 flat head runs good, just changed oil and replaced fuel pump. 4WD , twin stick transfer case works good, lock outs work good. Body is in okay shape, has “Willys Rust” . Extra complete motor and misc. parts, service manual included. Good clear title. I bought it as a project earlier this year and started to work out the bugs. Got it running and driving pretty good just needs a little more TLC. Enthusiasts preferred, I want to see the Willys go to someone who can keep it alive.”

1950 4×4 Wagon Clear Lake, Tx **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $7000.

(12/15/09) While approximately 90% stock, the seller gives a detailed review of what’s not original about this Wagon.

“It is a 4X4-63 model which was manufactured from January 1950 until March of 1950. It has a conventional ladder-type frame, and features independent front suspension utilizing control arms and a single traverse leaf spring. A three-speed Warner Model TY-96 transmission is used with synchromesh on the top two gears, and a Borg Warner overdrive. It is powered by a 4 cylinder L-head cast iron block and cylinder head engine producing 60 horsepower at 4000 rpm. It is a true 4×4 and has a Spicer fully floating front axle and a semi-floating Spicer rear axle and a Spicer Model 18 transfer case with a 2.42:1 low and 1.0:1 high range and locking front hubs. The shift lever is floor mounted. Front and rear suspension is semi elliptical leaf springs. This was a Texas Hill Country car and has zero rust on the body, frame or floor boards. The only rust is in the hinge area of the tail gate and to be show quality it would need to be repaired, however the tail gate is fully functional and opens and closes very easily:

Ninety percent of the vehicle is bone stock, however the previous owner made the following modifications several years ago.
•Added wood panels to exterior and interior of vehicle to create a “tin woody”. Exterior panels have aged and need to be replaced or recoated. Interior panels are in nice condition. The exterior panels are easily removable (just a few screws) and the body could also be painted to look like a woody as well.
•To establish clean woody exterior, the gas filler tube was relocated to interior of back compartment.
•Original flat front grill replaced with a 1954 V-Grill with cross bars.
•Seats were removed and modern bucket front seats were installed. Original style seats are easily available.
•Vacuum windshield wipers replaced with new electric wipers.
•Electric horn installed.
•Emergency brake installed
•Car converted from 6 volt to 12 volt and three new 12 volt gauges added under dash. (Original gauges are still in place however they operate off 6 volts so they have been disconnected.)
•Engine completely rebuilt. Installed new main bearings, polished crankshaft and replaced seals.
•New starter installed
•Custom made exhaust and new muffler.
•Transfer case seals replaced.”

Builds: Chad’s Ford Model A Roadster PU Willys

• CATEGORIES: Builds, CJ-2A, CJ-3A, Features, Unusual, Willys Wagons • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Here’s a wonderful build, an experiment by a reader named Chad.  He wanted to know what a Ford Model A Roadster would look like if Willys built it. So, naturally, he built one himself!

He writes, “Did all of it myself except the upholstery, in my home garage. It’s got a flathead V8 for power and took between 6 and 8 years start to finish. The dDrivetrain is flathead V8 adapted to a C-4 automatic adapted to Dana 18. Front axle is Dana 27 w/Corvette discs….rear is Dana 44 with one piece axles and Lock-rite geared 4.27.  I thought maybe it would be a four year job, but stuff happens  and there was a whole lot of headscratching to make things look ‘somewhat factory’. I used as many factory parts as I could but not necessarily the way they were used ‘by the factory’…..(those are Jeepster tailights, but they aren’t mounted that way on a Jeepster, just as an example).”

Great work and thanks for sharing!

1960 Willys Wagon Port Townsend, WA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Was $5000. **SOLD**

I just love the fact that this was the seller’s daily driver for years.

“My maroon Willys station wagon that has been around Port Townsend for the last eighteen years (parked in front of Hilltop Texaco for five of those) is now for sale for $5000. This was my daily driver until five years ago when I decided to make it 4 wheel drive. I have collected and built absolutely the best components to accomplish that but too many other projects have taken over my time. It currently has a tired but functional Chev 350 and a turbo 350 tranny with a Lokar shifter with e-brake and a positraction Dana 44 rear. I just installed the rechromed bumpers, the rest of the chrome is good. The wood runners in the back are in excellent condition also. It has the hard to find original seats that I reupholstered several years ago. Components that I have to go with it are; rebuilt 700R4 trans that was mated to a NP 205 (all gear, no chain) transfer case, Dana 44 front and rear differentials, new loaded calipers for the front, Advance adapters Saginaw power steering kit, an extra set of five original 16 inch wheels with old Michelin tires on them, a new tailgate hinge and tailgate lower repair section (which it really does not need) and a complete rear clip from a “barn door” (side opening doors) vehicle. I have collected boxes and boxes of spare things like speedometers, door handles, windows, steering wheels and so much other stuff that I can’t remember all of it. ”
