This article from the December 1955 Jeep News shares the growth of Bosemer Plumbing and its use of two different Jeep-A-Trenches. Note the serial number of the very early trencher: 11C-915. I never would have guess that was one of the first ones ever built!

“Rebuilt motor at 34542 miles, brake cyl lines and shoes at the time the motor was done (apx 6 yrs ago) older rust repair still in good shape. The jeep is solid and is driven several times a week during the summer. Use as is or it is the perfect base for a restore. Front bumper ears have been strengthen/repaired for a plow at some point
Has a cracked exhaust manifold so it makes a little noise. Needs tires and u joint work on the front end (makes some noise in 4wd) also occasionally pops out of 2nd gear.”

(10/20/2015) Doesn’t start.
“This Jeep gets looks! The body is a 1946 Willys and sits on a S-10 frame. Currently has a GM 350 With a TH 350 trans. The transmission has recently been totally professionally rebuilt with a warranty. Unfortunately last time I drove it the oil pressure dropped and the engine has suffered. I don’t know the extent of the damage to the engine but it won’t start. It does turn over but the engine needs work or replaced. It’s not hard to find a 350 to put in it. Lots of room for any size of engine. There are a few extras like the roll cage with lights, bull horn, 30mm shell shifter, locking gas tank, and Army ammo can storage. The whole front end has new parts like the gear box, upper and lower ball joints, idle arm, and tie rods. This jeep needs to go to someone that loves her. She is easy to work on with the S-10 frame. Comes with a tow bar that hooks to the bumper. It’s ready for you to take home!”
Runs?

Seth spotted this hard to find part.
“This is a used bilge pump and propeller shaft PTO for a Ford GPA Amphibious Jeep. If you are lucky enough to own a GPA you know how rare these are. Both levers shift in an out just fine. The levers have casting #’s of GPA 1548 and GPA 7248. The number on the housing is 7 38 1. Great item to have as a spare or if you are missing the PTO this is your chance to help complete your GPA. This PTO has been sitting on the shelf for over 40 years. Please look at the pictures to make sure this is what your looking for.”
Dan tells me this was taken at the Santa Monica Pier. Dated 1953.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600.
This doesn’t look like much at first, but it has an interesting aftermarket dash (wished there was a better pic of it) and an overdrive. There’s plenty of value here.
