“This beautiful Willys Jeep M38 Tribute was fully restored in early 2015 and has seen less than 100 miles of ashalt since completion! It features many attributes of the M38 Military Jeep and the stencils are commemorative of the builder’s uncle’s military service. Every portion of this Willy was restored, but if you think you are going to drive this vehicle daily or up and down the highway, you need to keep in mind that it ahs a top speed of 60 MPH. (10/13/2015) This is an MB on a CJ chassis.
“This is a great project for a Jeep person! Two Jeeps for the price of one. First is a military MB Jeep. The body is in good shape, solid, has recored radiator, new front bumper, original rims have been blasted and ready for paint in the back. Some other parts in boxes go along with also. No engine, transmission or transfer case. This one is easily restoreable and would be a great parade vehicle or military collectible. The second Jeep is a civilian CJ2A which is very similar to the first one, it has the drivetrain still in it. Engine is stuck but could probably be freed up. Body on this one is not as bad as some , between the two you can make one runner! Neither one currently has a title, but can be titled with little effort. Asking $2200 or best offer for both, need to go before winter so come look and make an offer!”
It’s a project.
“I have a project Willys Jeep, 1946, that needs a total restore. I have started it but have too many things going on to finish it. I have purchased the kit to make it a 12 volt system, including the alternator and starter has been rebuilt to 12V and the points and plugs and rotor and cap. I have kicked the starter over and it turns over fine. Have not gotten it started yet. I took the old tires off and getting ready to blast the wheels. new 12V battery. New ignition switch. I also purchased a new clutch. If interested call or TXT to see it.”

UPDATE: Pete shared pics of his almost free DJ-5 he found off of eWillys. Looks like he got a great deal. You just never know on that free stuff! Many thanks to Jackie for letting it go so cheaply.
ORIGINAL POST: “I have to remove unregistered 1975 DJ-5 with no license plates from my property by Nov. 5, 2015 or be fined by my city. Today is Oct. 29. (I never knew there was such a requirement.) This vehicle was once registered to me and was running, but has not been started in years. There is some rust, but does not look nearly as bad as some pictures I have seen for sale. I have lost the registration card as well as title. I live in NJ. I do not want to call the junkman to take it away. My question is: would you know anyone who would want this jeep and could take it before November 5? Getting the title could take some weeks, but I have to remove vehicle before Nov. 5. If someone wants to own it,I would have to have the price of getting the title, (which I believe is $60 inNew Jersey) plus any money they might care to offer.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
Might be worth a look.
