Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Her name is “Diana”
Our understanding is that this Jeep has always been in the UK from 1943 and was based with the U S 8th Air force.
Fully restored three years ago by a well known UK Jeep restorer during which time no expense was spared, she is virtually a brand new GPW and must be one of the very best. She drives without any issue’s and the side valve engine pulls very well.
Everything you could wish to specify this Jeep has, even down to her 1942 U S spec Jerry can.
A bonnet bag complete with a full weather kit is included also.
Also there is an (unfitted) “Ohio Brass” Ariel and mast kit complete with mounting bracket.
Not the cheapest GPW in the country but well worth every single penny, an appreciating asset.
She is 110% gorgeous and will not disappoint.”

(06/28/2013) This has had some body work done around the sides. Notice how they extend lower than the step.

95% restored. All parts bought from Kaiser-Willys. I have all the receipts.
Everything works. To make it 100% need a new wiring harness.
History:
I bought this from Tennessee 4 months ago (Jeep in blue). Cleaned up all the holes and random gauges that were put on over the years. I loved the high hood cj3b. Lots of work has been done after I bought it, too many to list. See the pictures. I have lots of pictures from the restoration.

“***Beautifully Restored and Modified*** This ‘attention getter’ is ready to go to a new home. Everything works and is in pristine condition. Rebuilt Buick V6 Engine has about 600 miles. This is a 3 Speed T90 with a hydraulic clutch and Atlas Transfer Case. Jeep has Dana 44’s front and back and has new electrical wiring throughout. Jeep was like this when I bought it except for minor modifications to make it look and run better. It also comes with the complete vinyl top. It looks like this was painted with the hood down. It looks like it has a repro body that’s in good shape.

Greetings everyone. Back in the late 90’s, my father purchased an old run-down Jeep for him and his 15 year old son (me) to restore. After about 3 weeks in, we both realized that we were in over our heads and my dad paid a professional to restore the Jeep from the frame up. Since the initial restoration, the Jeep has been kept in a garage 24/7 with only minimal use. It’s been taken out and ran through the mud several times in my late teens/early twenties, but for the most part, it’s sat unused. My pop’s been gone for several years now and it’s time for me to sell the ol’ gal to someone who will put her to some use. He bought it so we’d have something to work on together and now that I have kids of my own, I’d like to do the same thing.

“I am not sure what this Jeep CJ version is, I tried to get the serial number off the tag and think it is about a 6500 but would not bet without doing more investigation. Started to replace things on this jeep then it sat, has a 6 cylinder engine, the body is loose to work on things and can be removed, the glass is on the back lid, it needs work to be used but it is the original Jeep CJ! No title off road vehicle.”

“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep, has a freshly rebuilt engine as well as radiator both have less than 300 miles on them. The Jeep has the original 6V system intact. I purchased this jeep last year with the plan to do a total restoration. My wife and I have since welcomed a child and I just don’t have the time for a project this large right now. I have more than 10K into this project, I’m just looking to not loss to much on it. Asking $6,500.00 or best offer. Jeep has a title and is currently street legal”
