“1962 Willys FC170 4wd. I was planning on restoring this over the winter, however don’t believe that will happen. The frame is solid and the engine is not seized, but it does not run. Due to the year of the FC, it never had a title. I spoke with the NYC DMV prior to purchasing this project and they provided all the necessary paperwork required to register the vehicle once it is ready for the road. This is the late style cab to assist in the air flow for the engine cooling.
This is a project jeep. The cab needs work, however I purposed looked for a flatbed style to limit the amount of sheet metal work required.
Definably one of the more unique Jeep designs and would be a blast once she is completed. ”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(10/13/2016) No word as to whether any run or not.
“Willys Jeeps … FC170 … Cab overs … all 4 for 5,000$ OBO.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Dan forwarded this FC on eBay.
“Here is a one of a kind ’59 FC170. First of all, I do sell some vehicles on Ebay, almost always old farm trucks, as I live here in the middle of Kansas. I enjoy dealing with the farmers I buy them from, love getting them running again, and also enjoy meeting the people who buy them and seeing where they go. I’ve rescued a lot of old farm trucks. But this one is definitely different. First of all, I’m a little bit of a jeep nut. I have 2 49 jeeps, a 76 Cj7, and numerous AMC vehicles as well. I have never, however, owed a forward control jeep. I was offered the chance to purchase this one, and immediately snapped it up.
The only reason I am offering this for sale, is that I’m more of an original vehicle type of guy, and although this truck has had a ton of money spent on the be and winch, I would prefer one with the original bed. Without exception, until now, I always list my vehicles with a starting price of $10.00 and no reserve. I’ve noticed that there is an ebay law of averages. Sometimes they sell a little high, or a little low, but usually sell for about market valve. This one is a little different, as it’s pretty hard to value, so, I decided if it sells for $4500, o.k. if not, o.k. I’ll put it in my collection.

Doesn’t run.
“Rare Jeep FC-170, complete truck, but realize this is a project, I pulled it out of a field in Kansas this last April, where it sat for 22 years. I have a title but it is a Kansas title in the original owners name. The truck has some questionable body work(Bondo) but it is all there. IT DOES NOT RUN NOR DOES IT HAVE BRAKES. The original 6 cyl motor is free and with some gas and a battery it should start, as the carb has been rebuilt, has new wires and plugs, and fresh oil. I have the original Jeep Rims and other parts that will go with it. I lost interest in this and just would like to move it along, price is negotiable but don’t make any offers with out coming to look at it, Cash only!! ”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was For Trade.
It’s a project.
“I’ve got this cool old truck ive been tinkering on for a year now. Ive replaced various things and though it runs good when it runs, i just can’t get it right. Its got lots of rust and some body damage but all the parts are there except for the bed. Original gas tank was hopeless so it’s running off a fuel cell. Its got 2 inch wheel spacers to accommodate the larger tires but still have the original rims. Its a one ton.
This truck would make a really cool hunting rig or just something to drive around in the mountains if you want to put the work into it. It IS a project. They’re quite rare. Have clean title in hand.
Id like to trade this for a good running 3/4 ton or better truck.
The bigger the better, needs to pull a travel trailer. Im open to an suv or even a van if its heavy and in good shape.
I don’t know what the truck’s worth but i dont want to trade for anything with major issues. I don’t mind something ugly. Just depends what it’s worth to you. Please send pics. Thanks for reading.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Were $200.
The tires appear to have some good tread.
“I have a set of jeep rims off a 62 fc170. They’re 16 by 5.5. 5.5on5.5 bolt pattern, 4 inch hub hole. They still have the old bias tires on them. $200 or offer, im open to interesting trades. Maybe a small wire feed welder, or….”
Runs (with some smoke), but no brakes.

“Great old classic Willys cab over FC170 Forward Control for sale. These old trucks are getting extremely hard to find in any condition, let alone with all the body panels, bed, and tailgate. This one was pretty well taken care and has you can see from the pics, still has a lot of potential to restore into a nice old rig.
The body is better than most of them you will find. Sheet metal is fairly straight with exception of drivers door. The bed sides are pretty solid and the bed floor only has minor rot, not shot like most of them. The floors have been patched but the seat pans are mostly solid with a few holes but hold my 240lb rear just fine. The windshield surround only has surface rust and not rotted out like most.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Runs.
“Rare 1959 FC 170 Willys Jeep Truck came from California. Rare to find in this condition! Very old! Red/ white Truck does come with the box. The box is in fair condition with some surface rust but no holes. The pictures show that this truck has rust just on drivers corner and small spot on very front of the cab! Project truck.
Started right up after first try. Runs a little rough but it does run. Decided not to take on this project on due to too many others. Purchased new U- Joints, new water pump, and a new alternator comes with the truck but these have not been replaced or installed! Has new electric fuel pump installed, new oil in the rear and in front ends. I have removed soft plugs, water pump and radiator off the truck but still have them.
Invested much more than starting price already. Shipping is buyers responsibility and buyer to pay all costs. Prefer local pick up!”

“For sale is a pair of Willy’s Jeep Forward Control 170 1 ton pickups. I bought both hoping to make one out of the two. They both have their pros and cons but together would make a nice FC170. I have decided to sell the two of them as a package deal but I’m not oppose to selling them separately also.
Both have clean titles in my name and are currently registered with collectors plates
$3500 or best offer, cash only, no shipping”
Seller will take offers.
“”Barn Fresh” FC 170, overall looks to be complete and all stock minus the wheels & and sunroof addition. Could be a complete restoration or just a mechanical / cosmetic one. I just got it running and I’ll see if I can attach a video of the motor running – runs really good for having sat for a long time, I haven’t driven it as I have two wheels up on stands so the tires could go to the shop for rim cleaning and tubes. (have to email you engine video – cant upload)
In really good shape overall, has minor rust thru in the drivers inner floorboard – gas pedal area – lower cab corners appear to be pretty decent as do the door / window posts. One never know the extent of minor metal repairs until its all stripped but it all looks pretty decent and really straight. Bed frame’s in great shape(no boards on it), this would make a great restoration project I just dont have time for as I’m building a house currently. Windshield is perfect – rare and expensive! both driver and pass door glass need replacing, quarter and rear windows are fine. Seats complete (need upholstery).
what I’ve done:
plugs, points, condenser, cap, rotor, plug wires, tires w/tubes and carb rebuild. It needs a fuel pump and at a minimum the tank cleaned properly prior to attempting to fuel from there. All this got it running again pretty well.
I may post on ebay but only on here currently. As much as I’d like to take this on and do a complete makeover into something really cool I know I wont get to it for a very long time so better to let someone else have a go at it. Make me an offer if you think the ask price isn’t reasonable.
Thanks for looking, call for details – dont text inquiries please. Clear title”
May be worth a look.
“Selling my much loved 1949 Jeepster. It’s the original deal…flathead motor, 3 speed with overdrive…(works too) Poor thing just needs more than I have time to give. The paint is all old and faded. The front seats need work. They are not the original seats but I do have the original ones too. It only has a generator. No alternator so the lights are not super bright. I have 5 original hubcaps still. It really needs some billet wheels to make it pop. Perhaps a LS motor to make it really go good at the drags. it’s got 98,000 miles so its probly all wore out by now cause these old cars just were not built like modern cars. They were all wore out at 100k.figure on rebuilding everything. I want a Jeep FC170 pickup or a modern diesel Crew Cab pickup so the poor jeepster gotta go. Might consider partial trade for a FC170 project. It’s fun to drive around ( I drive it a lot) but I want a truck. and it’s so not a truck. I got lots of pix in my phone. is easiest to text them.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
Includes extra parts and a pto winch. It’s a project.

UPDATE: Some additional photos of the event, including the t-shirts, have been added.
This past weekend was the 2016 SW Ohio Jeep FC Gathering at Roger Martin’s place. Unfortunately, the threat of rain keep some folks away. Given the rain that fell in Maryland over the weekend, there was good reason for concern. However, the rain pretty much skipped over Roger’s place. Roger has some t-shirts left over that are for sale. You can see them at the end of this post. Call Roger at 937-477-5270 for more info.
One of the stars of the show was Craig Brockhaus’s newly acquired FC from Sweden named “Marilyn”. It has only been in the US for 16 days, so very few folks have had a chance to inspect it. “Marilyn” started right up and purred like a kitten. It was part of a photo shoot/video on the property.
Jim Allen, writer/author, enjoyed his inspection of the van. He was asking questions and taking pictures.
Bill Robinette (and son, Ed) brought his Jeepster. Bill is the original owner. He bought it new in 1950. The story goes, ” Ed had a 1948 CJ 2a, which was their only transportation. One day it was raining and his wife said her feet were getting wet so they went to the Jeep dealer, Marshall Brothers, in Alpha, Ohio to get an new rubber seal. Instead, they got a new rubber seal with everything that goes around it. Ed drove it to school and wanted to put a big engine in it, but his dad wouldn’t let him. It is still original.”
Greg Houk brought an FC170 with a Auburn trencher and blade on the front, along with an FC-150 with a Shriner’s jeep on the back.
Richard Kimball brought his FC Firetruck on Friday. Roger’s 9 FC’s were scattered about. He has 8 FC170’s (5 are DRW), and 1 FC150.
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was on eBay.
That’s a pretty FC.
“Finished in the optional President Red and Plantation White combination this all steel body pickup shows very well. The side mounted spare tire matches the other four wheels and tires. The front fender extensions and rear fenders are solid and look great. All the trim is present, complete, and displays normal wear for a vehicle of this age. The black front bumper is fits well with a finish as expected considering the age. The custom rear step bumper is sturdy and is functional. The metal bed and wheel wells is completely covered with a black protective paint.
Inside, the grey and black vinyl seat that looks period and is very good condition. The black door panels and grey dashboard are a subtle continuation of the two-tone theme of the interior. The optional heater and original gauges are correctly placed have a nice appearance and function as designed. The original equipped two spoke custom steering wheel is in good condition and functions as designed.
This 1958 FC-150 is equipped with the original 134cid Hurricane F4-134 inline 4-cylinder engine fed by a Carter one barrel carburetor. Power is transferred to the wheels by a Borg-Warner T-98 three-speed manual transmission and a Model 18 transfer case. Driver assist features include 4-wheel drum brakes. The suspension includes leaf springs with front and rear solid axles. The 15-inch original white steel wheels with Goodyear Wrangler tires complete the look.
The FC-150 advertising motto in the day was “Go Anywhere!” and all your need to do is bring this ’58 to the next “Jamboree” and turn heads! GET OUT AND DRIVE!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 11,595 miles, sold as is with a mileage exempt title.
