S”elling my dream project. Tough times require tough decisions. This is a 1952 M-38 Willys Jeep. 4WD miracle. RUNS AND DRIVES, doesn’t stop great. Brand new clutch. Comes with extras, and a $50 gift card to the Jeep parts store I never got to use! Serous inquiry only, please no tire-kickers. Almost all original. Started life as a Korean war jeep, then went on to be used for the fire dept in Portland. You can see the OD green under the red FD paint. Very cool and nostalgic. Timeless Mahindra Book $100

Adil Jal Darukhanawala wrote a 332-page book on the Mahindra Jeep history and production. The photographs I’ve seen so far are beautiful; it looks like Adil has created a quality product. I have purchased a copy and will review it later this month.

One reviewer of the book notes it contains a variety of interesting information bits, including how a few CJ-5s reached India (thanks to the Pakistani Army). I also like the comment that the jeep was the ‘greatest free sample in automotive history’, an important insight as tens of thousands of jeeps were left by allies all over the world. It looks like an interesting, detailed book.

The book can purchased directly from the author at

Here’s a review of the book from EVO India –The Thrill of Driving:

1960 M-38A1 NEKAF? Lubbock, TX $7000

This M-38A1 is claimed to be a NEKAF. It has some of the features (such as the strap across the battery box), but lacks others such as the turn signals that were unique to the NEKAF. Maybe the jeep includes more information about its origins. There have been several NEKAFs that appeared in US, such as these three in Texas listed back in 2013.

“(If I do put fluids in it and test drive it price will increase dramatically as it’s a driving project at that point)

MOTOR DOES RUN WELL! This is a real WW2 Willys MB. It is titled as a 46 Jeep. It is a project. It has a ford 200ci Straight 6 that starts and is turn key, but I have not driven it yet. It needs brakes redone and new tires first before being driveable. (Will include some used 31 inch tires) I’ve removed all the old 6v wiring and have it striped for you to start running your own. I was going to start chopping it all up to make a ratrod, but I figured I would give somebody the chance too bring it back to life before hand. I am open to cash offers, bring a trailer and come give it a good home.”
