“-283 V8 w/headers
-3 speed w/all-range overdrive
-5.38 axle ratio
-full roll cage
-skid plate
-tow bar
-tilt/telescopic wheel

New battery, new alternator, rebuilt carburator. No leaks, no rust, no doors, no heater, no power anything. I previously invested over $7000 in this, but then it sat in a barn for ten years. It’s running like new again, but the tires are old, and it still needs brake work. This is a turn-key, mostly complete, running jeep for the price of a project jeep. Clean title, but currently registered non-op. Make offer.”

UPDATE: **SOLD**  See more pics here: http://www.ewillys.com/?p=61299

This looks like a DJ-3A Surrey Body on a 70s CJ-5 frame to me. It was listed as a CJ-3B on Craigslist.

“We have this CJ3B sitting in our barn and it’s time for it to go. Don’t want to scrap it and would like to find someone who can put it to use somehow. Asking $700 or best offer. Not sure of any of the details of the Jeep. Needs an engine, transmission is there though not in the Jeep. Probably have some of the parts lying in/around it, so those will be a part of the price.”

• CATEGORIES: News • TAGS: .

UPDATE: I thought this had sold on eBay for $7000, but it’s back for $5500 on Craigslist.

The seller believes this was the original body, but it looks more like a repo body to me.  Also, there’s been a good deal of welding along the passenger front frame rail and along the underside of the driver’s side rail, which could indicate the original rails weren’t in good condition.  Also note the modified transmission undercarriage.

1964 King Midget Pt. Pleasant, NJ $5500

• CATEGORIES: Features

Need a car that’s a little easier on gas than your jeep?  How about this one cylinder car HOG spotted.  No, it’s not 4wd and it is smaller than some golf carts, but I figured I’d post it anyway.  Besides, even if you don’t like the car, check out the turn signal/running lights on the front.  Those might be a nice conversion option for older jeeps.

I have never seen a King Midget. There were 3 basic models of the Midget.  The first model was a one seater, like a mini-racing car from the early 1900s.  The second model expanded to two seats, along with other additional options.  The third model increased strength and horsepower.

The King Midget Car website has this video, which shows a variety of old Midgets:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJv0a7dUbIU&feature=player_embedded

“I am selling a 1964 King Midget, “Worlds Most Exciting Small Car”. The car is in outstanding condition and is a A.A.C.A Senior show winner. The engine is a One cylinder, with 2 speed auto trans; the car gets 60-90 miles per gallon! The odometer reads 5,226. If you are wondering, YES, this car is street legal and another interesting fact about the King Midget is that they were only available by mail order from 1952-1970. I am forced to sell the car due to a death in the family and am sad to see this “small” gem of a car go.”

1965 Tuxedo Mark IV Greencastle, PA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ5 • TAGS: .

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.

Can someone explain to me why a PA title would need to be transferred at a messenger service (what is a messenger service)?  The engine has been taken apart.

“1965 Jeep CJ-5A
Tuxedo Park Mark IV

This Jeep has been in our family for many years. The mileage is probably not correct but it says 22946. I was in the process of rebuilding the engine and restoring it. I have the head removed and valve/pushrod cover removed. Also various other engine parts have been removed and inspected to get to the engine. I have all the removed parts inside the Jeep. This Jeep has never been rebuilt prior to me working on it. The last time this Jeep ran was sometime in the 90’s. It sat in a garage until 2003. That’s when I brought it home and started working on it. Transmission is a T-90 3 on the tree. Engine is a Hurricane F-134, partly dismantled. I’ve included 24 pics on the site but if you would like more please let me know.

Please forgive me I’ve probably left out a lot of details.
But ask/email and I will answer and send as many specific pics as you would like.
The Jeep is for PICK UP ONLY! near Greencastle Pa. 17225.
The Jeep is near 99% original parts, as it has never been attempted to be restored other that the work that I’ve done on it.”
