“Cool street machine!!!!!!!!!! Highly sought after “parkway conversion” special ordered from Willys Overland by U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Forest Service and other goverment agencies in very limited numbers. These examples combined the poplar wagon looks and high visibility with increased access to rear cargo area by retaining the ” barn style” rear doors of the panel delivery. Very limited and highly sought after combination! She’s powered by a 351cu.in. windsor motor with street compition cam, edelbrock performer intake with holley 650 double pumper carb. She breaths thru 302 mustang headers into 2&1/2 inch exhaust piping with flowmaster dual chamber mufflers. The front has been clipped with a monte carlo frame member….. sway bars, disc brakes, and power steering. Rear has stock willys leafs. 8.8 inch differential with 4.11 gears and rear sway bars and lakewood traction bars. Body is clean, straight, older but descent paint, custom louvers in hood and front valance, and a moon roof! She has a T10 four speed with a strong and tight clutch. Interior is clean with Z28 bucket seats grey carpet and brushed aluminum dash plating with custom guages: fuel,temp,tach, speedo, vaccuum,voltmeter all functioning. Clairion C/D player into 6 speakers. Original wood slatting in cargo area. This Willys drives well and steering is very tight— no wandering or pulling, one finger at highway speed. The is some bubbling on paint from my living at the beach but no major rust! Boby is very solid for being over 60 years old! Feel free to call with any questions, (my preference) any time.”

Gary sent me an update on his CJ-5 project. Thanks for sharing Gary.
Gary writes, “I wanted to share a few pics of my project. I am very close to putting my body back on. (hopefully this weekend)
Also, I included a couple pics of an idea that I have for the old style master cylinder. I always hated having to unbolt the plate to check the fluid.
This is my solution- I took the cap and drilled and tapped it to 1/8 pipe threads. Then I took a small drill bit and opened up the vent hole that is on top of the cap so it could be filled with a JB weld type material. I threaded a tubing adapter to the top of the cap.
I purchased a fluid reservoir off ebay for around $10, this has a cap with a modern style vent and your brake fluid can be checked at a glance.
I don’t know if anyone else has tried this, but I see no reason yet why it will not work, but I will let you know if I have problems with it.
Needs a windshield. The seller is willing to deal.

Ann’s aunt spotted this ad in a Wheeler Dealer Magazine at Walmart (yes, I have agents scouring everywhere . . .lol). The 56 miles seems hard to swallow . . . maybe 56 miles since the paint job?

“Willys Jeep CJ-My old 4×4 jeep needs a home with someone that has the time to keep her going. She needs a lot of work and tires and paint but was running when I last started her several years back.
This is the kinda project you can get going and take through the brush without worrying about scratches or dings…it ain’t pretty…it’s a ranch/hunting lease tool.
It’s a project…not something you can take and drive…you’ll have to do some work first. I don’t have the time to keep rebuilding the original carb with it’s leather accelerator pump diaphragm…a smart rebuilder would probably just put a newer carb on it. Needs brakes, seats(frames are there), tires, TLC.
