It is a gray, drizzly day on I-80.  We are approaching Omaha, Nebraska, where we will sell a camera lense, grab some lunch, head south on I-29 and then across on highway 36 through Missouri in hopes of reaching Springfield, Illinois tonight.  Tomorrow, Nov 9th, we will visit the Lincoln Presidential Museum, because according to Ann, it is one of the best Museums she has visited.  She also can see some potential in leveraging some of their ideas for a jeep museum. On Nov 10th we will land at Bob’s, who will put us weary travelers up for the night.  The next day we head for Tonowanda, NY.

My intrepid co-pilot spotted this horse walking across the road. She pulled quickly to the side, so I could get the shot.  You just don’t see that everyday.

(09/23/2011) It doesn’t run, but did when the seller drove it into the grass.

“1946 Willys (Jeep) CJ2 still has the flat head 4 cylinder engine. I drove it to where it is parked now. The brakes lost fluid and I was going to bleed them. That was three years ago. The upholstery on the seats is shot. It was red before someone painted it yellow. The front axle still has the original hubs so it has never had lockouts installed. The speedometer is missing but I have one around here somewhere. I dont know the correct mileage. I do have a title. Two of the tires are flat now. I have a tilt bed trailer that will carry it easily if need be. The spare has no tire.”

Has new exhaust manifold and pipe, new fuel pump, new (not r/b) Carter carb, new gauges. new vinyl bikini top; Lock-out hubs; Ramsey 5,000 lb. elect. winch; brush guard and tow-bar. Maintains good oil pressure; runs cool. Tires are fair. More photos available via e-mail.”

Sold as is where is w/Bill of Sale only; (has not been titled in many years, but is clear and has VIN tag on engine firewall). Can be seen daily in Pearland off of Dixie Farm Rd. and FM 518.
