Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It looks pretty stock and unmolested. I can’t tell if there is rust around the step or not.
“1949 Wills Jeep. Running ready to go. It has a 2.5 Chevy engine in it with a four barrel carb and header. The cool thing is it could have a small block chevy bolted right in. Needs to have the brakes bled then it could be driven home. I do have some 35 inch tires for it, but they would be extra. The hard top does have doors they just are not on it .”

“I have a ’47 or ’48 Willys CJ2A Jeep flat fender, rolling chassis (no motor). Purchased as a project but I have too many projects and no time so this needs to go. The paint job appears unusual, but the drive train has been rebuilt.

There are a variety of updates on this jeep. I believe the grille and the body are from a MB or GPW.

The seller promises that when they bought it, they were told it ran …..
“Im selling my winter project. Its a 1955 Willys Pickup with 4×4. It has a twin stick transfer case to control front and rear axles independently. I have a clear title for the Willys. It does turn over and I was told it ran when I bought it in December but I have a lot of work right now and can’t let this sit around gathering dust. The gas tank needs repaired/ replaced and otherwise it should be a good runner. All glass is good, windows even roll up and down. Does have rust, came from North Carolina.”

Here’s a great old Jeep with a half top. Some nice solid rims, too.

I’ve got an East Coast buyer looking for a mechanically sound M-38 or early M-38a1 that looks good. The body doesn’t have to be museum quality (there can be some minor dents for example), but it should look like a military vehicle. The price range is $8000 – $11000. “1942 Slat Grill Willys data tag dated 02-25-42 Slat grill indicating one of 25,000ish of which 200 know to surive this one needs restored most all the parts there and work no seats no wheels engine number is correct MB# and frame and date tag numbers match runs good drives good 4 wheel works hi and low is working Cutlas Lockout hubs on front working no wiring and the body is rough have title and licence plate”

“For sale is a 1951 Willys CJ3A. The jeep ran when i bought it but thought i wanted to do a full restore and started taking it apart. The Jeep comes with 2 engines( 1 rebuilt and still on the engine stand), 2 T-90 transmissions, 3 hoods, windshield with glass. Jeep also has front PTO and Ramsey winch from a 1948 Willys CJ2A. Everything is there to put Jeep back together or to continue restoration. I am selling my house and relocating for a job, and cant take the Jeep with me. The frame and body are in great shape and would be a great project for someone with a little time. I also have a 1958 Ford F-100 for sale on Craigslist. I knew there were aluminum bodies for flatties, but I discovered today that Aqualu manufactures a wide range of aluminum bodies, including a flattie, CJ-5, CJ-6 and more. Check out all the different bodies at their website.

Tow bar, fair soft top, roll bar, new transmission,good shocks with new 1in lift springs. Stored inside for last 25 years I’ve owned it,swing away tire &gas can rack.
