“THIS IS A VERY OLD AND ROUGH WILLYS FC-150 JEEP. IT IS NOT ROAD WORTHY, AND MOST LIKELY NEVER WILL AGAIN. MATTER OF A FACT IT HAS ONE WHEEL OR MORE IN THE JUNK YARD. I FIGURED BEFORE I TURN IT OVER FOR SCRAP I WOULD GIVE ANYONE WHO MIGHT USE IT FOR A FEW PARTS A CHANCE. ALL THE RUNNING GEAR IS STILL WITH IT. THE WHEELS STILL TURN AND BY SOME MIRICLE STILL HOLD 30 PSI OF AIR. IT HAS BEEN SITTING AROUND FOR A GOOD 10 YEARS THE BODY IS SHOT, MOST WINDOWS ARE DAMAGED. THE FRAME HAS HAD A WOOD REPAIR IN BACK, YUP WOOD. THE MOTOR COVER HAS BEEN REMOVED, SORRY I GAVE THAT AWAY. THE MOTOR STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL OIL AND ANTI FREEZE AND MOTOR TURNS OVER EASLY BY HAND. THERE IS NO TITLE, NO REGISTRATION, NO NOTHING.”
UPDATE: Was $4000. *SOLD*
This truck has some nice updates. The seller would prefer to trade for an equivalent Wagon.
“1948 willys jeep pickup. 230 chev six with headers. 12v conversion. ele fan. bigger drum brakes. floater ford rearend. heater. power sterring. bucketseats. Asking $4000 but would prefer to trade for a 50’s jeep station wagon 4X4 in good running licensed condition like mine. I Dont care about body condition, just mechanical.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
This old Jeep has an unusual paint job.
“About as original as it get. Has been setting, but a new battery, a little carb work and a repacking of the wheel bearings and you can peel its cloths off and enjoy the coming warm weather. Lotts of extra part included at that price.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.
(03/08/2010) Based on the pics, this looks in pretty good condition for a East Coast FC-150.
“1957 Jeep Willys FC150 , CAB FOWARD narrow track , 134 Hurricane ?, 3 speed, Dana 18 transfer case, wooden flatbed. Bought last fall with the hope of frame off restore but no time and other project is neglected. Earlier restoration. That work is starting to bubble. Prior owner was a Jeep collector / enthusiast that rebuilt entire vehicle and worked it building a home in NH, motor and tranny also. Motor Runs great, drove good. Brakes need to be gone over (sticking). I drove it last fall around the block a few times. You could spend a few hours sorting out the brakes and be on the road the same day. Easy project, comes with abunch of extra parts that I have gathered but will pass along with the truck: Extra / Spare T-90 side shift tran, Dana 18, narrow track radiator (very rare), Replacement steel lower Cab corners and steel wheel well shapes, valance panel, extra dog house and more. Saturn Overdrive available but not included. It most urgently needs brake service / cleaning, driver floor patch (small flat), and door weather striping. To be really nice it will need some body work and paint. Wheels and tires in pic are not included as I want them for my other project. $1800”
There are some new Bantam and MB testing photos at Life Magazine. There are some great closeups of the Bantam. Note the first pic — I believe that is the first ‘jeep’ ever stuck in the mud; it surely wasn’t the last! All six of these photos were taken by David E. Scherman in 1940.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
“1956 Military Jeep 1958 Willys 1/4 Ton Jeep metal cab. Asking $3500 O.B.O. ”
The bidding is over on this FC. It sold for $1525, which looks like it might be a pretty good price.
“We are selling a 1960 Willys Jeep truck 4 wheel drive. It was purchased by my father in Aug. 1984. My father and mother both drove it. It has been sitting here on the farm for sometime. My father passed away and we are cleaning up some of the things on the farm. We have tried to show the condition of the body in our pictures. We hooked jumper cables to it and the motor did turn over. It ran when it was parked. We do not know a lot about it other than what we can get off the stickers and tags on the vehicle. We are selling it as is. NO warrenty. We aired the tires and they seem to be holding. It has a spare tire with it. How good it is we’re not sure. It looks pretty good. It has a Hurricane – 4 engine. Valve clearance-cold, intake .018, Exhaust .o1o, firing order 1-3-4-2, milage reads 52,184.16. It uses regular gasoline. It is Forward FC150 control Jeep Four Wheel Drive. AS far as we know it is the original motor and all else is original. It is a stick shift. Weight limit is 5,000#. The inside is with out the headliner. The door panels are there but in bad shape. The windows are all in but some are broken and will need to be replaced.I have tried to describe this auto the best I can. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me. I will answer the best I can.”
It looks in very good condition.

“1946 Jeep Willys CJ-2A, all original and completely mechanically restored! This car is very collectible, but still a very capable Jeep to drive. I have owned this Jeep for 25 years, and spent over $5k restoring original engine and mechanical system less than 50 miles ago. Jeep features all original major components, and starts and runs with ease. Jeep has been garaged at least since I’ve owned it, and has virtually no rust. Jeep is in excellent mechanical condition, and good/fair cosmetic condition.
-Restored original “L-134 Go-Devil” engine and mechanical (I-4, 3 speed manual trans)
-New tires
-New battery
-New fuel tank and system
-New seats
-Mechanical winch
-Bumper for mounted tow-bar
I’m asking $9,450 for this Willys, and would consider a trade for a CJ-7 in good condition. Delivery not included, you must come pick it up (I’m near Lake Lavon in Collin County). Please send me an email with any questions. Serious inquiries only please.”

This Jeepster looks better than new!
“This 1949 Jeepster just recieved a frame off restoration to original specs. All parts have either been rebuilt, replaced, refurbished or new. The L-134 engine and overdrive have been rebuilt. There is no rust anywhere, as all damaged panels were replaced. The car is technically correct except for the steering wheel (is a 1950 model). The top cover and wood frames are all new. The tires are new Cokers and have approximately 50 miles on them. All the glass and rubber moldings are new. It has the correct Dupont Fiesta yellow color, interior is vinyl. The original mileage before the restoration is unknown. This is not a 100 point car but close. The air cleaner is an upgraded #675 model. There are vey minor issues with the fuel gage (sticking occasionally) and the horn (sticking occasionally). The car starts very easily and drives like a Jeepster should. Bidders are welcome to have a private appraiser inspect the vehicle before the auction ends. Sale includes all reciepts, photos, manuals, extra parts.”
I bet this won’t take much to get it running.
“62 wills jeep its complete the doors are inside.Has fiber glass removealbe top.The jeep did run but doesnt have spark at this time.Does have rust .call 262 483 1141”
UPDATE: Still Available
(04/01/2010) This project will require some work. Call, don’t email.
“Willys Jeep. The Good: Complete, mostly original, flat-four. Also includes full 6-point cage, new tires, new shocks, new gas tank and lines, and new brake lines.
The Issues: It has been sitting for a while and was in the middle of a 12-volt conversion that was never finished (no generator or alternator) when I bought it, wiring needs attention, turns over and starts, has a couple rust-out spots under the rear tail lights, quater size hole under the drivers seat in the pan, and rust in the out-rigger body braces under the body near the frame. No pink slip.
I bought it as a project and have not had the time to finish it. It had been sitting for a while prior to me buying it… I massaged the cylinders with some Marvel oil, added some fresh gas to the carb and it cranked over and it tried to run. Sputtered, puttered, but ran. Since then, I have replaced all the gas lines, cleaned the new tank (it had old gas in it), added two inline filters, new plugs, new wires, and there it sat. Thus, I know it’s not frozen and only needs minor tweaking to run.
Located in Monterey. $2700 CASH. No checks. No shipping to Paraguay. No crap. Calls only. No emails. Thanks, Ross. 8three1-5nine6-64five9. Delivery possible.”

“RARE 1958 WILLYS “JEEP”. ALL ORIGINAL. GREAT SHAPE, NEW INTERIOR, NEW TIRES, 4-WHEEL DRIVE. BODY IS STRAIGHT.”
I’ve been meaning to add a rear view mirror to the Biscuit. A couple months ago I pulled a rear view mirror off an old Dodge truck at a salvage yard; I specifically searched for a rear view mirror that could be bolted onto the jeep. I knew there were times that I would want to have a rear view mirror without the windshield, so connecting it to the windshield wasn’t an option. Also, from past experience, I knew that the windshield flexes at highway speeds a bit, so it would shake a little less connected to the roll bar.
So, last weekend I took a small piece of flat steel and welded it onto a piece of tube cut in half. I then drilled and tapped a hole into the rollbar. Then all that was left was to drill a couple holes into the mini mount i built, paint it, and attach it. It’s nothing fancy, but gets the job done!
Bruce forwarded me links to two images of Surreys he has posted.
The first one is from the Virgin Islands in 1958 and shows a DJ-3A in the center of the picture and a DJ-3A Surrey at the lower left. The second image shows 5 or more Surreys sitting at rental lot Hawaii, the surrey in center front
is a 1963 with 13″ tires and babymoon hubcaps.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
Bruce spotted this unusual jeep utility addition. The seller notes they scrapped the jeep, but then says he was just kidding and is keeping the jeep (in other words, jeep is not for sale). Anyway, the hotdog vendor unit is certainly an unusual feature!
“Up for sale is a hot dog cooking insert for a willys jeep. Scrapped the jeep(was a little rusty) but thought the hot dog unit was worth saving. Has lots of places to cook stuff and it fits like a glove. Check out the pics. some modification to the wheel well on the drivers side to accomodate what looks to be a sink.probably could remove this piece so no cutting wheel well.Has all the valves and burners I think never tried it out. could use some nobs for the temp control. from the front of the jeep you can not tell this is in the back, and from the back you can not tell its a jeep. from the side it looks like it should be there. happy bidding ! Only kidding about scraping the jeep, the jeep does not go with it. pickup in howell nj only. Pay in full and will hold inside as long as needed. this thing would be the hot diggity dog of the trail rides. good luck! Bill”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

Body is badly rusted. Frame is OK. Engine is original 24 volt military. Selling as a package deal w BEMAK (phillipine repro) body, front fenders, hood, windshield frame and tailgate. Here’s a nice looking, stock CJ-2A up the road from me.
“this is a red jeep willys. has all stock except the front fold down windshield. The wheels are not stock either. has a new heavy duty exaughst system on it. Its the 4 cyl motor. 3 speed manual tranny. all it needs is a starter replaced I think. I put a new selonoid on it but still clicks. The 6 volt system was converted to 12 volt. It is nice jeep I just dont ever use it anymore and it is sitting in my yard. (Im to tall for it also) so anyways Im asking 3300 OBO.
