The rust doesn’t look all that bad. This might be a decent price for it.
“This is a 1957 jeep fc 150. its all original but has some things missing and a little rust. things missing that i noticed are the distributar and speedometer. the passenger door is damage but could be fixed by a body guy, some rust but will be surface only and could all be taken off when sandblasted, nothing that bad, i would suggest removing the bed and cab to go through it, these trucks are very easy to pull apart. its got the original engine and was running about ten years ago. most of the parts are willy’s jeep and can be bought still through local dealers. the seats are there and there’s a few extra heads in the bed. i noticed a bunch of spare parts in the bed, i will get an inventory soon. call me if your interested, ill try to answer any questions, erik, 916-218-9187, $ is negotiable and i will deliver it!!…”

“I have a 1944 Willy’s MB Jeep, AS you can tell from the photo it’s been sitting for a while. It was in great running order when I parked it so it would take some TLC to fire it up again. Great Project . MADE IN AMERICA ! Also have an EXTRA MOTOR, 2 fenders, front grill, hood, hood has a hole cut in it though. “Here is a 1945 Jeep willys MB, it has a 327cu motor runs fine with a 4spd trans, 1976 CJ axles, 33″ tires, needs slave cylinder for clutch. it is a great four wheeler, stump puller, or ranch mule, will smoke all four tires any time, we have never got it stuck.”
I’m not sure if this is a warn overdrive or not. No pics and little description. I’ve emailed the seller to learn more.

Interestingly, the body appears to be a MB/GPW, but the driver side cutouts are missing. So, I suspect there’s been some body work done at some point.

Who needs a bored out monster engine to climb rocks? I’m always amazed at these modified jeeps that still run L-head engines. This CJ-2A looks to be wearing an MB/GPW body.

This jeep looks very straight and nicely accented. It has some interesting headlight bezels. It also apepars to have an overdrive setup.
“1949 Jeep Willys CJ2A in excellent condition. Beautiful charcoal grey exterior with purple accent stripe. 6 cylinder engine runs good and transmission shifts good too. 4 wheel drive works like it should. New tires and wheels. A very respectable Willys. Must see to appreciate. We have never driven it in rain or snow. Usually sits inside our barn and has antique insurance on it. Could take to shows if you wanted to.”

This ad made me laugh, because the seller claims this “body has not rust”. Now, the hat channels may in fact be in great condition and maybe it’s just my eyes, but isn’t there rust on this body?

Need some cheap 12″ x 15″ rims? Here’s two of them along with two 10″ x 15″ rims.

I was driving through Caldwell the other day and the dealer was just parking this jeep as I sped by the lot. So, I couldn’t resist turning into the lot to take some pics. Of course, after walking up to the jeep, it took only a couple seconds for a sales guy to come over and offer his help. He tried making a couple points about the jeep, which I gently pointed out were incorrect. I then provided him with some information about the year of the jeep and how it differed from a military version. He got quiet after that. Though I didn’t tell him, I would say it’s way over priced. I wouldn’t pay more than $1500 for it as, for starters, the front of the frame at the point of the grille on both sides has been welded, re-welded, and cross welded. Here’s some pics.

“This ’65 CJ is all 100% stock and is the last year for this model offered in the US. It was replaced by the more popular CJ5. Kaiser, after purchasing Willys, dropped the embossment letters in 1963, but I have purchased exact repos and installed on the Jeep. To a real Jeeper, even a Kaiser, is a Willys. This Jeep underwent an extensive 2-year restoration in 2000-2002 in the Seattle area by a Jeep enthusiast, who has done quite a few. It was originally towed over from Montana.”
Not to make fun of the paint job, but I really thought something was creating shadows over the jeep. Then, I looked at an interior pic and saw it had a strange camo paint job. I thought, ‘wait, that’s not on the outside of the jeep’. But, I was wrong, it is indeed some type of camo on the outside.

Here’s a unique paint job. That front sure is a bit higher than the back.

This CJ-2A has been highly modified. It sounds like a pretty good jeeping jeep.

Rec. tube chassis, new YJ springs outboarded, Dana 44 front and rear Wagoneer axles with new 4.56 gears/Powerlocks front/rear. Saginaw steering. UPDATE: Troy sent along a couple pics of his race jeep also. There’s one to the right and one down below.
Below is Troy’s street and trail CJ-3A. It’s been modified in a variety of ways, including a Dana 60 in the back, a Dana 44 in the front and lockers all around. Troy buys and sells stainless steel in the Northwest and is trying to decide whether to start adding more stainless steel or not to this jeep. His biggest concern is if he starts dressing it up too nice, he’ll be too afraid to bring it out to the trails. If this jeep does start growing stainless steel fenders, I doubt he’ll suffer too much as Troy will still have an opportunity to get dirty playing in his flat fender racing jeep that he calls “Twisted”.

This weekend, Friday January 16 & Saturday January 17th, 2009, members of the PNW4WDA will be holding barrel races as part of a Monster Truck show at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma Washington. As you can see from the 2009 schedule, most of the races throughout the year tend to be in fairly remote locations, making them pretty private; This race provides a unique opportunity for the general public to see these unusual jeeps. To the right is a link to a myspace video shot last year by a spouse of the racer (I assumed it was from a spouse considering the ‘dumb ass’ comment heard in the accompanying audio).

The engine was rebuilt in the process. Everthing works as it should including all the gauges. The top and all the upholstery is new…..”

While I’ve managed not to finish my treatise on jeepneys — the draft form of which includes what a person needs to do to import a jeepney and the prices of some older ones — I really don’t believe this is a 1942 Jeepney. Even if there are parts leftover from said 1942 jeep, most of the rest of the jeepney looks more like a later model jeepney (though it is not like the latest models). Here’s a little more about Jeepneys. If the seller reads this and wishes to correct me, please contact me.
