You don’t see too many white-wall tires like those on jeeps!

“This is a road worthy ’53 Willys Jeep CJ-3B that starts with the turn of the key and runs great. Vehicle has a 289 Ford V8 (unknown mileage) coupled to the original transmission and transfer case that features an overdrive. Vehicle also has locking/unlocking hubs which makes for less wear and better fuel economy. The vehicle has the original gauges with all but the gas gauge operating. Also, the electrical system has been upgraded to a 12 volt system and incorporated 2 speed wipers and electric emergency/parking brake. The interior seats are black vinyl with no cuts, rips or tears and DOES NOT have seat belts., vehicle does however, have a roll bar. Also, she has a new canvas top with doors,new shocks,and new springs with 2 inch risers. The brakes haven’t been worked on by me as they seem to work fine. You also get 10 tires: one set of four street tires with 3 1/2 inch white walls mounted on stock rims and 6 mud & snow tires mounted on stock rims. The body is in fair shape (no wrecks to my knowledge) but has rust repair areas with new Banana Yellow paint to cover her scars. Of course I have no way of knowing how many miles are on the vehicle/engine etc. the mileage on the odometer reads 68548.  I’ll be happy to answer any questions upon request–Thanks.”

I don’t see too many DJ-3As that still have their tops.  Someone converted this to 4wd.

“Unique Willys Jeep with a fiberglass roof and steel doors and sides.  This jeep is in good shape for the age. Willys flathead 4 cylinder runs fine, transmission and 4 wheel drive work fine. Cooper military type lug tires.  Has new front springs, new brake shoes on all 4 wheels.Fun jeep to drive.  This jeep needs a new master cylinder or rebuild.  Gas tank has seap leak if filled full.  Has some rust in the bottom of the doors. Floor pan appears pretty solid.  As you can see in the pictures there are some surface rust spots on the body.  Drivers door window is cracked. Other glass is good.  Seats from a new jeep are installed. The jeep comes with the original split bench front seat, original locking hubs, has Warne hubs installed, extra transmission and transfer case parts.  It has a tow bar installed with a 2″ hitch so you can tow it home.”

Dan spotted these (truth be told, Dan has spotted a number of deals tonight!) I believe these are 8″ wide hurricane rims; these have the same number of fins as my wheels.

“I have a set of four Modern aluminum wheels. They came with my Jeep CJ5 when I bought it last summer, and I wanted to go back to some stock steelies. They measure 15×8 with a 5×5.5 bolt pattern and 3.75″ backspacing. Comes with all 20 lugnuts and two center caps (have locking hubs on the front and PO didn’t have the other two anymore). They’re in good shape, maybe a little dusty, but no cracks/dings/dents, blah blah blah. All of them hold air perfectly, in fact I replaced all the valve cores about a week ago. I have 31×10.50s with stock springs (with 40 years of sag) and had no rubbing issues for what that’s worth.”

(12/26/09) Here’s a nice looking restoration.

“Frame off restoration. Original powertrain, 4 Cyl L-Head engine, new carburetor, resealed intake and exhaust manifolds. Underneath of body was cleaned and undercoated when body was off the frame. Frame was cleaned and undercoated and painted.All body bushings are new. Completely new wiring from front to rear, 12V system. All new gauges, speedo cable and e-brake cables. New stock seats and frames. Have the stock rear seat, but will need to be recovered. New paint last June, inside and outside of tub, grille and hood. New rear brakes, hardware, wheel cylinders and brake hoses. New e-brake shoes, hardware and master cylinder. Haven’t done anything with the front brakes. The front locking hubs will need to be replaced.”

“Thinking about selling my collection, will take offers. The yellow one is 1948 CJ2A that I have owned since 1977 area with good AZ title. Had a Buick v6 when I got it but later changed to a datsun 4 cyl, but currently no engine mounted in it. I boxed in the front frame & set up for chevy saginaw power steering box. Has stock 5:36 gear axles converted to full posi spools. The light brown aluminum top is from the frame only picture which is an MB.
The MB has no title but has been AZ forever. I have the front end w/ black out lights back to the cowl and front winshield cut through the floor area. The frame running gear is complete w/ turret mount and free floating rear axle. The engine is later model rebuilt 4 cyl. over head valve.  The black one w/ aluminum hard top I brought in from Wyoming 10-15 years ago. It is complete except for motor which is out and cracked from freeze and no body rust. Not sure what the correct model for it is but the cowl & windshield frame is same height as my CJ2A which has a round frame, this one has a square fram but not tall like a CJ3B that a buddy had. The hard top is extremely well made and looks like it has been there from original, real solid w/ more square aluminum cross braces & upright corners & removable panels than I have seen before. I have numerous extra parts from over the years, spare flat head blocks and stuff.

I bought the MB to rob the new engine, free floating rear end and hard top for my 2A because I bought 2 sets of new disc brake conversions and was going to install on all 4 corners w/ locking hubs on all for towing. Then I found the black one and the top w/ doors was to good to pass up. The disc brake seats I ordered new and are still in the boxes. Serious inqueeries only, not in financial problems just considering selling to best offer over 4K

“1943 Vintage WWII Willys Overland MB Jeep 4X4 For Sale Serial Number: 213591 Mileage; 33,397 One of a kind 1943 Willis’ MILITARY JEEP MB 4×4 in great condition with custom black paint and wood grain exterior panels. This is a real head turner! The Jeep fires right up and runs great! The interior of the Jeep is just as nice as the outside with bucket seats, grey indoor/outdoor waterproof carpet, original gauges, and finished with custom wood grain, chrome accents and roll bar. The Jeep is powered by the original flathead 4 cylinder engine (gasoline), (which displaces 134.22 cubic inches (2,199 cc) with a 3.125 in (79.4 mm) bore and 4.375 in (111.1 mm) stroke. Ok, I can’t resist … something’s fishy about this FC :-).  Actually, it looks in good, unrestored condition.  The paint job is certainly one-of-a-kind.

“This is one great little Jeep!  I bought this on Ebay almost 3 years ago and it has no doubt been my favorite out of the 30+ Jeeps that I have owned in the past several years. It has the stock drivetrain, 134ci F-head 4 cylinder, t-90 3 speed, dana spicer model 18 transfer case and dana axles.  The motor runs good no knocking, ticking or smoke.  Original 6 volt system.  4 wheel drive works fine: high and low and front locking hubs.  It has a warn winch with a good controller that was rigged to a battery and solenoid in the bed but I have never tried to operate it and the battery has been removed.  It has a heavy duty custom front bumper and the rear bumper is a custom tube air tank with a guage and air hose hook up to fill your tires, beach toys or run tools.  The tailgate opens and closes fine, windows go up and down and the doors shut very tightly.  There are no rattles or loose parts on this Jeep, it is solid.  The floorboards look like they have been patched with metal and there is a layer of outdoor carpet for insulation and rubber flooring over that.  The heater works, horn works and all guages work.  The seats are black vinyl, firm and in great shape except for a small hole in the back of the passenger seat.  The inside floor of the bed is flakey around the bottom edges but there is no rust through anywhere on this Jeep.  The frame of course has surface rust and maybe some pitting I guess you would say but is still very solid.  The rear cab corners have had new metal replaced on them but it is a very solid repair as well.  This is the first year these were made and it has the narrow track axles which I think make it look even more unique….”

“Total restoration of a Painted RED 1951 CJ3A Willys Jeep with correct seats, front and rear, covered with black vinyl. This Jeep has a rebuilt 4 cyclinder engine, transmission, 4-wheel drive, front and rear axles, locking hubs, rebuilt steering column, new steering wheel, new tires on the orginal rims. It also has new wiring harness, new springs front and rear with new shackles, new king pins, new gas tank, and a new exhaust system. Orginal type bumper hitch, new brake lines, shoes, master and wheel cylinders, brake drums turned, new orginal type tail lights, add on turn signals, all new rubber items around the windshield and gommets, orginal step plate for both sides. Orginal type oil filter and oil bath air cleaner, all new dash gauges, vacuum wiper. This Jeep has a 12 volts electrical system with alternator. “First year of the willys high hood. Jeep has Buik 225ci v6 conversion kit, with a Warn overdrive. 33inch Tires, jeep has air compressor under the hood, which when activated fills the rear bumber compressor resevoir to 120lbs. Rear bumber has pneumatic hose fittings and preassure gages. Brand new master cylinder, brand new clutch, brand new sending unit, brand new front axel, and has a brand new starter. Jeep has locking tool boxes in the rear. Bmw bucket seats 5point restraint seatbelts. Jeep has air horn under the hood (Very loud). Rolls down freeway 70mph no problem. Rear locking and unlocking hubs so jeep may be towed behind motorhome. Comes with softop, softdoors, and towbar. Fully padded roll cage, tilt steering. Jeep runs excellent, two five gallon spare gas tanks mounted behind spare tire on back of jeep. After market heater installed. Jeep still has originall manufatures plate under the hood.
