About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Today, phase one of Ann’s garden is finally complete. I had hoped to have it done by Mother’s Day, but I missed that target date by three weeks. The biggest hurdle was that I had some mystery health issue with fatigue, uneasiness, sleep issues, and tightness in my chest (I really thought I might have a heart issue), yet I never felt sick or had a temp. I had attributed it to accidentally handling some strong fertilizer with my hands. However, over the last three days (which was a day after I went to see the doctor .. and he indicated he thought my heart was fine) everything has dissipated. Unfortunately, today Ann seems to have come down with what I had. So maybe it was type of illness after all??
Anyhow, I can now turn my attention back to the racer, finally. I have an extremely happy wife, which was worth all the work.
As a reminder, here’s what the area looked like when we first bought the place in April of 2021.
In Feb of 2022 we had the willows removed. Then I began tearing stuff down.
One year later, we have the following … And here we have a short video (yes, I do mention horses mooing and I accidentally call a rail a railroad tie … ) 😄
“1947 CJ2a. L134 Flathead engine matching year. 3 speed T90 transmission looked over and tight. D18 transfer case. Opened adjusted and resealed. U joints new. Water pump. Hoses. Belts. “Cool project Willy’s Jeep Forward Control 150. Not totally sure on year but tag marked Willy’s. This FC150 has been sitting for some years but ran when it was parked. Does not run now. Wench has been used recently. No title. Says La Selva Beach on each side of the cab. Price is firm, no trades.”
“1954 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep – Quarter Ton – 4X4 – Order Stock No. G-2758-8358319 – MFG by Willys Motors Inc Toledo – Mfr Ser No. 73000 – 32,290 miles – $7,500.00 or best offer – FRANKENMUTH, MI 48734
Possibly the most iconic military Jeep vehicle with a 19-year tour of duty that spanned the globe. First “round-fender” Jeep 4×4. Forerunner to the classic CJ-5. Over 101,000 vehicles were produced during it’s production run.
Currently not running. Needs some work, but the condition can be classified as 4 – Good. My Dad planned on converting from 24 volts to 12. This Willy will need a 12-volt civilian starter, distributor & ignition coil. Front left tire is dry-rotted & doesn’t hold air for long. The engine does still turn over by manually turning the fan.
Dark Wine/Cranberry in Color. Solid body. The location of the private property where this Willy cruised has been edited out of the hood decal with black marker for photos.
Vehicle MUST be inspected IN PERSON if interested. Delivery is NOT available. No Cashier’s Checks.”
The Willys Rally kicked off yesterday with beautiful, but hot weather, or so I am told. Tom sent me a some pics, followed by Roger Martin, who wore out his camera taking pics, so thanks to you both! So, there’s lots to look at. One highlight captured by both kind gentleman included a four-seat empire tractor, which looks really well done.
“Very nice willys pickup 2wd 4cyl 3spd on the floor. Starts right up and drives but needs master brake cylinder, looks pretty good older restoration but needs paint because of cracking paint. Tires look new still. Clear title $15000. Now first 12500 takes it. Only selling due to health problems.”
“1947 Willy’s cj2a jeep, 4×4, super hurricane 4cyl, 3 speed with twin stick transfer case. All steel body. Has fold out windshield (also folds down. Has 2 bucket seats and a small removeae bench in the back. Runs, drives, is inspected. I have a roll bar and bikini top for it as well. Has an after market heater which works great (melt your ankle off) it’s an old cj so it goes 45mph tops, steering is wandery but manageable. Jeep has hand throttle option which is handy for parades or as a crude cruise control. Very cool driver quality cj2a . 13.500 possible trades try me. tractor with bucket and mower, pickup truck , hot rods etc”
“Selling for a friend. This is a beautiful cherry red 1947 Willys CJ2A that’s an older restoration. It runs, drives, stops, and has a clear title. I highly recommend watching the YouTube video about this Jeep titled “Buying a Barn Find Jeep & Making it Run Again” under channel name Turn N Burn for detailed information about this Jeep. Service completed in 2022: -All new brake components -Repacked wheel bearings -New water pump -New fuel pump and lines -New 8V battery which is running the factory 6V system -Misc oil seals replaced -New radiator hoses and thermostat The body restoration wasn’t completed to exact factory condition, but the Jeep overall looks great. I would recommend some tlc by making the headlights work, rebleeding the brakes, and removing play from the steering. However, it is ready to enjoy for the season.”
“1948 CJ-2A Willys Jeep Project – Lots of New Parts! #CJ2A 189298 We are selling this Willys Jeep project for an estate that we are helping to liquidate. It was a restoration project that was started but never finished. Lots of NEW parts were purchased, but never installed. See photos of parts laid out on table – master cylinder, brake lines, brake shoes, wiring harnesses (2), lights, gaskets, weather strips, and much, much more! Also includes original jack/tools under passenger seat and some assorted vintage fuel cans. Also a vintage winch and extra transmission assembly. We did not start engine, however it does turn over by hand.We were told that the engine did have some work done to it as far as a rebuild. However we do not have any information about it. Please take the time to study photos of extra parts well. Does include extra frame not in photos. Vehicle has good PA title.”
“1953-1964 CJ3B. Selling it for PARTS. Extra transmission shown in photo 3. Have extra F-134 and transmission, add $500. Selling as is, needs lots of Tub work, motor ran when I got it. Has been stored inside for last 13 years. I have no time for this project. Serious Jeep folks only.”
“1942 Ford GPW Jeep. Serial number GPW-70489 Jeep Comes with new windshield frames, rear floorboards, and new sections of the frame. THERE IS NO DRIVE TRAIN or hood. Someone had swapped civilian stuff under it and it was complete junk. Jeep does come with a title. The trailer is a 1948 bantam. Previous owner cut out the floor other than that it is in good shape. Both for 2000. Will not respond to is this available.”

“1946 and 47 cj2a. NO PAPERS NO PAPERS NO PAPERS. One frame has a serial tag. The tubs are very rough but very solid starts. Have 2 sets of fenders. A fuel tank, good willys tailgate. One is a roller, one has a L134 flathead, t90 and transfer case. Have extra set of axles. All 3 sets of axles I believe are Dana 44. All seem good. The engine is in what I believe to be a 50s cj5 frame and tub is just sitting on it. Have an extra cj2a frame. Lots of little extra parts. One has fiberglass tilt front clip complete. One windshield frame in very rough shape. The engine does run. I have a solex carb in a box. Once again, NO PAPERS. Lots of very good parts. 25 for both and parts. PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE. I’ve owned these for 10+ years, need to clear out the driveway. Message me phone number and we can talk on the phone. I’m not into answering a bunch of questions over messenger”
TJ spotted what looks like a pretty good price. Looks like it may have had a DJ-3A, M-38 or CJ-3A engine.

For months we wondered if our three breeding cows were pregnant. We were sure about one, but not about the other two. Then, on Wednesday, within the span of 12 hours, all three gave birth to female calves. While we would have preferred steers (for meat), we are well set up with breeding cows for the upcoming years.
“1948 Willys CJ2A. Runs good. Has a clean PA title. New radiator, brakes, alternator, and starter. Spare carb, transmission, and many other parts included. Pops out of 2nd gear. Body is rough, but good for a trail Jeep. $4,200 obo”
