Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1955 Kaiser Willys M38A1 “Nekaf” Manufactured in Ohio and assembled in the Netherlands. It was used by the Dutch Military and then made its way back here to the states. The Jeep was complete and driving when I bought it but it had significant rust damage to the tub. I stripped the Jeep down to the frame. Engine removed. Frame was blasted, primed and painted. Brand new replica body was primed and painted (still have original rusty tub). All other large body parts were blasted, primed and painted. Engine cleaned and repainted. I have several spare body parts, and new radiator. Most other essential parts are ready to be reinstalled. Small items need some cleaning and paint. I have just about everything needed to reassemble, minus the wiring harness and some other small parts. Have a gas tank, but it needs to be cleaned or replaced. All parts can be easily found on eBay or military vehicle sites. Have original manuals, current registration and CA title Will not ship, but can load”
It lacks some polish, but looks rust free. It does not run.

“1942 willys jeep dune buggy project. 1993 jeep grand cherokee frame and 4.0 engine. It Runs, drives and stops and the 4×4 works. Still needs some work before taking her out though. UPDATE: Any experts out there familiar with 1950s corn pickers? Barry Thomas from Farmjeep.com asked me to ask you all if anyone knows who built the Corn Picker branded by Willys-Overland (see brochure below). He thinks it was CO-OP, but doesn’t know for sure. Has some floor rust, but otherwise looks pretty good. Includes a rear PTO gearbox and overdrive.
“Willys 1953 CJ3B bought 2 years ago we’re it had been living on a farm. Been doing work on it since getting it to run and drive. It has been repainted at some point in its life to red from green. Always thought I would take it back to green at some point. New wiring from Walchs, all new fuel system, new seats, plugs, wires, battery, oil pan and valve cover, oil side cover gaskets. It has rear PTO, overdrive, extra roll bar and rear tire swing that will go with it. I’ve had it running and driving around the neighborhood with the kids but I can’t seem to get it fired back up currently. Has to be alternator or starter solenoid I’m thinking. Time to let go for someone else to cross the finish line with it. Title in hand.”
This DJ-3A was spotted by Matthew. Looks in good shape, though it has been converted to 4WD. Has the KS 0-8 Speedometer.

“1946 Willys. Has a Ford 4 cylinder 2.3L Turbocharged engine that came out of a late 80’s Mustang SVO. I don’t know the mileage. The motor runs great but hasn’t ran in a few years. It’s a project I’ve owned for 5 years and I never got to it and now I need money more than a project. So even though it’s breaking my heart, it’s for sale. It has 1 seat, and no roll cage, the tires are still great and all hold air, they’re 33×12.50×15. The rears are worn down quite a bit more than the fronts because turbocharged burnouts. This thing is awesome and it sounds amazing. Definitely a head turner. Needs a battery and you’ll have to put the MAF back on because it was sitting on the battery so I took it off when the battery was pulled. Needs fresh gas. The front driveline needs a u-joint. It needs trailered. If you don’t have a truck just rent a trailer and I’ll deliver if you’re local. Willing to trade for a camp trailer. [hidden information] Cody. Bill of sale only. Last registered in Utah as OHV”

“This is a 1951 willys jeep farm model, new gas pump, intake and exhaust manifold, water pump, distributor, spark plugs, steering wheel, among others. It has a added steering stabilizer and 29 inch tires. It runs and drives but over heats right now because it needs a fan shroud. The transfer case and transmission have been rebuilt. The frame and undercarriage have been ryno lined along with the body”

A wind storm blew through Friday night, knocking out power and dropping branches from numerous trees. We spent yesterday cleaning up, with more to do today. So, next updates will be Monday.
