1952 M-38A1 Hamilton, MT $16,130

Robin shared this one. The sellers will accept US Silver Eagles …. This is a “complete restoration”, one that did not include removing the body. One pic shows the transmission crossmember, which looks like it could use a good cleaning (at the very least).

You can look long and hard and probably never find as nice a Willys M38A1 as ours, especially at this low an asking price with so much heavily invested into this restoration. We will consider partial trades, but not interested in anything in particular. We will accept partial to possibly full payment in US Silver Eagles, etc.
1952 Willys M38A1 Jeep Restoration Information:

With a complete restoration, short only of body removal which was not needed, this jeep has been restored to be a functionally perfect beautiful example of the venerable M38A1 with any parts needed, replaced with new items. The elderly previous owner had gone part way in restoring this M38A1 prior to our acquisition and our doing an extensive restoration to virtual show quality. The previous owner had done a partial restoration which included the electronic ignition, partial installation of new Painless brand wiring harness and fuse panel, engine transmission and drive train mechanical work (brakes, exhaust, seals, shocks, etc.)

1960-fc150-buckeye-az1 1960-fc150-buckeye-az2 1960-fc150-buckeye-az3

“Ultra Rare 1960 Willys Jeep FC150 foward control – the shorter one – clear signed notarized Arizona title. From Arizona, was acquired from an estate last on road in 1992. Original drivetrain is complete. Front windshield is cracked in lower passenger side area about 6″ long,,drivers and passenger roll up windows are cracked, the Jeep had a son roof in it and that glass is missing which is why the floor boards and cab corners are rusty, water and leaves got in and sat inside for a long time. Otherwise very complete original vehicle, will need restoration or customization.

Has been in AZ its entire life, see photos for condition, will need metal work on both floor pans, cab corners, and probably to fill in that sun roof opening. Way back in the day it had black shag carpet glued on the dash, doors, and basically all over the inside of the cab, the glue had long since dried out and it all peeled off in pieces, thats why the interior metal looks like it does, mix of dried out glue and black carpet backing. This would all save off easily by hand no sweat. Has decent roller tires and steel wheels, rolls and turns easily. It is what it is, good builder rare Jeep to either restore or turn into a full custom on a modern Jeep chassis or with upgraded drivetrain. ”

1945 Photo of Toy Jeeps w/ Real Jeep

This is all for today (well this and the two videos below). We are still out camping.

These toy jeeps were part of the Seventh War Loan drive. Given the date this was published (July 19, 1945), could these have been the early Al-Toy jeeps?

And, here’s a video highlighting the Seventh War Loan Drive (that includes the Iwo Jima sculpture unveiling).

1953 CJ-3A Blackfoot, ID $6500

UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500.

(12/22/2015) Has lots of updates.

“This is a 1953 Willys CJ3a. It has been a project of mine almost 10 year but it is time to sell. This vehicle is far from stock I have a throttle body injected 4.3 liter V6 installed with a rebuilt 4 speed SM 465 truck transmission attached to the dana 18 transfer case. The transfer case has been updated with the hardened intermediate shaft and modern conical beings. The brakes and clutch have been updated with Wilwood master cylinders and slave cylinder. New clutch as well. The front axle is a dana 44 with disk brakes, chromoly axle shafts and an ox locker. The rear axle is a dana 44 from a newer model CJ I installed to handle the larger 35 inch tires I’m running. There has been a power steering conversation completed, and a triangulated 4 link with fox racing shocks in the rear and both drivelines are custom for the application. The top, tub, and seats are all new along with a new fuel tank and steering column. There are a few things that need to be finished on it but I used it as my daily driver for several months and can be driven home. I have far more than my asking price put in this vehicle, but I am not sure how to place a value on it. 7000 is where I will start the negotiation on it, but reasonable offers will be considered.”

1975 CJ-5 Afton, WY $22,000

Tom shared this low-mileage CJ-5. It has a documented history. Seats have been changed to cloth (read story), so at first they look worn, but it’s just the type of material. Overall, it seems in great shape.

1975-cj5-afton-wy3 1975-cj5-afton-wy2

“This CJ5 is all original. It has only 39,359 miles. Runs very well and has been driven a couple times a month. The original owner was a lady. I bought it from her in 2014. I replaced the radiator, fuel tank, shocks, leaf springs, heater core, tires, and gave it a tune-up. I only did this to maintain this jeeps integrity and dependability going forward.

Paint is excellent and shines as new. There is some noticeable wear after 43 years. I have taken it to local car shows and everyone is amazed at its condition. The hardcore car enthusiasts tell me over and over to do nothing more to this jeep. It has a documented story, it’s in rare shape, and is shows and runs amazingly well.

This is perfect for the individual wanting a daily driveable jeep or just a weekly joy ride without having to work on it first. It needs nothing mechanically. It is sound and fun to just putt-putt in.

I have a brown soft top, roll bar, rear mounted spare tire rack and owners manual. I also have the poster I had made telling a brief history of the jeep that I use at the shows.”

(10/19/2018) Lots of custom work here.

“This is a CUSTOM Build Jeep that has been “Road Tested” for 3000 miles since is build approximately 6 years ago.
Every detail is done to perfection. From the custom chassis on up. Some build features include, GM 350 crate motor with performer intake manifold, MSD ignition, and chrome header into a custom stainless steel exhaust. The axles are Dana 44’s with Warren front hubs, extended leaf srpings, and sway bars front and rear with disconnects for greater articulation as well as Bilstein shocks. The transmission is a Borg Warner T18 top loader – 4 Speed with a Dana twin stick transfer case. All lines and most of the hardware are stainless steel. The vehicle has power sterring, vented front disc brakes and sits nicely on Toyo 33x1350R15 Open Country tires mounted on M/T aluminum rims. Picture don’t do this Jeep justice, a close up examination speasks for itself.”
