“1956? Jeep Willys, inline 4 cylinder. The Jeep will not crank but does not appear to be locked up in any way. The wheels turn, the gears shift, and the steering wheel turns. The engine does not appear to be locked up but that cannot be verified. Most all of the parts of the vehicle appear to be there but many parts are loose. The ignition is not wired up. No keys. The battery is 1-2 years old. A 1-2 year old wiring harness will be provided but is not installed. The tires hold air but not sure for how long. This needs to be hauled away on a trailer. It is sold as-is. There is no title. A bill of sale will be written to the buyer in person at our local bank once the funds are deposited into our bank account. This is a restoration project vehicle. It does not run and will take a lot of work to get it road ready. The price is firm, no other offers will be responded to. No trades. I hope this finds a good home with someone who can restore it. It has good bones, it just needs a lot of work to get it running again”
This appears to include a Warn OD.

Currently on Non-opp and I have the clean CA. Title in hand. Asking $2,000. I will consider trade and possibly add some cash if you have a pre smog running short bed Chevy or GMC truck. “Sat in a garage for 5 plus years, sat outside for now about year and half. What i know: Jeep Runs and drives. Will send video of running and driving if you PM me. Only selling because I inherited a jeep and i don’t need two. CLEAN title in hand.
Pros: 8k WARN Winch Disc Breaks on the front Wilwood Master Cylinder with remote reservoirs Steering wheel riser New Steering wheel New Smittybuilt Seats Body is in pretty good shape for the age No rust Inline 6 motor, runs well unsure of history or miles Drop down tow bar Tires in good condition New / Rebuilt starter Title in hand Windshield glass no cracks
Cons: Break lines have lost pressure so a leak needs to be found and fixed. I did have a company do it but lines leaked after about a week and after a few attempts to do it myself it got put on the back burner. Gas pedal is needed- currently just a shaft Needs battery, i have a spare one i might be able to part with”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(10/07/2023) This has a new body. If someone wants to purchase this, but doesn’t want the engine, In trade for the engine and steering column, I would consider going up to get this (way at the top of the Peninsula area), bringing it back, and holding it until someone comes to pick it up. email me if you are interested: d@deilers.com. I think the engine would be good in Biscuit.

This eight-page issue includes stories about Country Maid’s FC-150s ice cream trucks and Prade Ranches wagon. The Boyd’s FC was included as part of a story on the Boyd family’s travel to South America. Two different articles highlight DJ-3A dispatchers. There are two very different examples of FC-campers, which one looking quite a bit like Dan Horenberger’s old streamline camper (discussed in this Motor Trend article by Jim Allen). Also, don’t miss the last story which shows an FC with two sets of duallies on the rear.
This quad-fold 1982 San Juan Scenic Jeep Tour brochure shows two newer jeeps with rear seating like the FC-tour jeeps, along with one vintage chopped wagon.
This June 1953 issue is Volume 2 No. 4. I’ve only documented a few of these, so I don’t think many of these “Booster News” newspapers were saved. This one is on eBay for $99. Anyone know if they have copies of the Booster News in the Toledo Public Library?

“CJ2a with Monroe hydraulic 3 point hitch.
Rear pto gearbox.
All new wiring and brakes.
Runs and drives great.
Clean Washington title in my name.”
Blaine shared this CJ-5, noting the hardtop looked unusual, which the rear of it does. After some research, I felt it is a Koenig Jiffy Cab 520 for the CJ-5 (see an Aug 1957 brochure here). This is the first time I’d noticed that the Jiffy Cab 520 had an unusually wide rear door with slim sides (not room for side windows in the back).

“The jeep is pretty-much untouched and original (except for the paint). Last year before AMC bought Jeep. It has the factory 3.7l Dauntless V6 motor, three-speed transmission and factory PTO winch. Split bench seat.
The motor is strong with as-new oil pressure. A prior owner put a 3.8l intake on it so it can use the Delco electronic ignition. Dual exhaust, as new. Transmission good as are the brakes. I hate antique cooling systems, so a new radiator and heater core. Headlight replacements should be in today (3rd), LEDs with glass faces.
The paint job was for protection since it came to the coast, mediocre base coat, clear coat. The hard top was bought when the Jeep was new. Neither roof or the body show rust, it came from Talent, very dry country. It has a mis-matched tire, and needs little jobs for it to be the daily driver.
This is an old Jeep, old school. No power steering, just a big steering wheel. No power brakes or cruise control. Early Jeeps are strong and reliable, but have little in common with modern Jeeps.
I am willing to consider trades, even non-vehicle, if the trade seems right, or $6k. I have varied interests.”

(04/10/2023) John shared this early CJ-2A. It’s had a few updates, but the indents and column shift are still there. There has been some body work (such as the elimination of the spare tire carrier mounting holes), along with new paint. If the underside on this is solid, it may well be worth a look at this price. I don’t impinge it would take too much to bring this back to stock.

“Dj5 mail jeep. Has a title! Bought it to v8 swap it. But don’t have the time to do so. Motor ran off a boat tank recently and the jeep was driven around in a feild. It’s right hand drive. Automatic. Pretty neat little piece. There’s some bucket seats that come with it. Other than that what you see is what you get”
This was listed at $4800, but that price has been crossed out. Perhaps the seller is taking offers? The front suspension setup is unusual. It appears a bump stop has been added to the rear of the springs, replacing the shackles. It also looks like some kind of block or wedge sits between the springs and the axle.

“Complete frame up restoration project that is very close to being finished. It came from California and is extremely solid. It was taken down to bare metal and there was not a spot of rust anywhere. A skim coat, block, primer, block seal, and painted gray. It’s a 46 CJ2A with CJ5 running gear that has overdrive so it will have no trouble running the freeway. Has a chevy 350. Lot’s of new parts. Part’s alone cost more than the asking price. I have the windshield frame and windshield for it. its painted black. I will not respond to is this still available. Located in napavine Washington. Cash only sale, no trades. First person here with cash takes it home. Change of plans…..I’ll part it out. Let me know what you need. It has a really nice suspension setup. I think I’ll keep the 350 SBC that’s in it for another project.”
This appears to be a CJ-5 hardtop.

If a Crosley, which the grille indicates it might be, I’m unsure the model. Usually, these have some type of hood-bump and different style fenders, but the hood on this is flat, as are the fenders.
