1949 Wagon “Parkway Conversion” Ramona, Ca **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Jeep Rods, Willys Wagons • TAGS: , .

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $5500.

(01/13/2012) This looks good.

“Cool street machine!!!!!!!!!! Highly sought after “parkway conversion” special ordered from Willys Overland by U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Forest Service and other goverment agencies in very limited numbers. These examples combined the poplar wagon looks and high visibility with increased access to rear cargo area by retaining the ” barn style” rear doors of the panel delivery. Very limited and highly sought after combination! She’s powered by a windsor motor with street compition cam, edelbrock performer intake with holley 650 double pumper carb. She breaths thru 302 mustang headers into 2&1/2 inch exhaust piping with flowmaster dual chamber mufflers. The front has been clipped with a monte carlo frame member….. sway bars, disc brakes, and power steering. Rear has stock willys leafs. 8.8 inch differential with 4.11 gears and rear sway bars and lakewood traction bars. Body is clean, straight, older but descent paint, custom louvers in hood and front valance, and a moon roof! She has a T10 four speed with a strong and tight clutch. Interior is clean with Z28 bucket seats grey carpet and brushed aluminum dash plating with custom guages: fuel, temp, tach, speedo, vaccuum, voltmeter all functioning. Clairion C/D player into 6 speakers. Original wood slatting in cargo area. This Willys drives well and steering is very tight— no wandering or pulling, one finger at highway speed. The is some bubbling on paint from my living at the beach but no major rust! Boby is very solid for being over 60 years old! Feel free to call with any questions, (my preference) any time.”

1957 “Parkway Conversion” Wagon Gladstone, Or $2000

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: .

Dan forwarded this post, noting this is a Parkway Conversion Wagon.  Here’s a nice shot of a stock one

Dan talked with the seller, who is also named Dan.  He reported the following:

My best guess is that it is a 1957 Willys Parkway Conversion, serial #11888
Been in family for 40+ years
Bought by great uncle and uncle
Sold to uncle and dad
Never got around to it
Was in Eastern Oregon for many years and sat in garage in Portland for last decade or so
Body, hood, and fenders are currently off of frame, but will put back together this weekend
Rust areas are bottom of passenger door, rear quarter panels
Has all original parts except motor (Ford 260 does not run)
Glass is cracked
Some bondo
Homemade front bumper
Original front bumper made into rear bumper
Original rear bumper (with Willys script) included, but dented
PTO and 8,000 lb. Ramsey winch
3/4 seat in back
Oak slats painted black by uncle also included
Not emotionally attached and willing to deal

“57 Willys panel wagon– better know as the station wagon but different doors on the back. This rig has been in my family for 40 years plus but don’t have time to restore it now.It is all original except the motor it has a 250 cid Ford 6 cyl. in now and its no good anymore. It is currently frame off but have all the parts that came off of it when I got it. It does have rust as do most of these old beast do but is a good resto rig. Willing to work on price, just need more room in the garage right now. Call if interested 971-235-8054”
