“Good shape runs great”
We’ve discussed the Transport Motor Company, out of California, a few times. Clint reminded me that Farmjeep.com published a wonderful overview document of the TMC Farm and Industrial Equipment. Clint added his thoughts about the equipment in a comment at the bottom of this post.
Here is the full document: https://www.farmjeep.com/lifts/other-hydraulic-lifts/transport-motor-company-tmc-hydraulic-lift/
What caught my eye was TMCs body extension, a full-width body extension that attached to the back of vintage jeeps. I’ve documented the extension several times, but didn’t know what company made it. It turns out, some of those full-body extensions are from TMC. (here is my compendium of document 1/4 extensions)
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2100.
(12/04/2023) This appears to have an extra shift lever (probably an overdrive). It also has a Koenig bed extender and a Sears-style half-cab. There could be some value here.

“1959 Jeep Willy’s project, everything is there. Has a 6 cylinder engine that does not run but it isn’t seized up. 3 speed manual transmission, hi and low range shifter, four wheel drive shifter, and it has a pto lever for a winch on the front. Pretty cool little project. Price is obo make an offer.”
This has potential. The stock hardtop and Koenig (?) bed extension look in good shape. The 0-8 King Seeley speedometer still has its needle, too.

“Family has decided to sale Grandpa’s Jeep CJ5.Was running when parked in the shed. I put a wrench on the crank and it rolls over easy. $3000 or best offer.”
Update: Sold. Was $7000.
Extras on this jeep include a Warn OD, Warn/Bellevierw winch, Koenig body extension and Willys (branded?) spotlight.
“$7,000 O.B.O. 1960 Jeep CJ3B. VERY solid and clean for the year. Hat channels are corroded but tub is solid. Frame is solid as can be. Period correct: WARN OVERDRIVE!!!, WARN BELLEVIEW WINCH, WILLYS SPOTLIGHT, KOENIG BODY EXTENSION. Runs and drives great. Cranks up every time. Can drive anywhere. 4X4 works great. Gets more attention than anything else on the road. Good condition Firestone 6.0X16 tires. CLEAR TITLE. Everything works except speed indicator(odometer does work) fuel and temp gauge and rear running lights(brake lights work).
Lots of new parts: Distributor, Carburetor, Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Spare Tire, Muffler, Starter Solenoid, Bikini Top, FULL COMPLETE TOP BOW KIT($700), BRAND NEW 12V WIPER KIT(not installed), Air Tube, Oil Filter. ALL FLUIDS CHANGED, ALL DRIVE FLUIDS CHANGED WITH CORRECT GREEN METAL SAFE GEAR OIL($400 job).
The tub sides have been “overlapped” from the doors back, but the original tub is good. I believe this was done for strengthening as tub is solid”
This looks like a good price. The steps have been patched. Note it has a bed extender, half-cab, Koenig half-cab, and a middle seat (most likely a Dumas seat).

“1960 Willys CJ5 4×4. Run drives. P.T.O driven winch”
I suspect this extended bed was an owner mod, as it’s longer and more permanent than the commercial extensions that were produced.

Cash of possible trade up or down for crew cab pickup or good running 60’s era survivor (un-modified or hot rodded) sedan, nice hybrid…don’t laugh I got a long commute…or maybe something interesting. Prefer cash. No checks no payments and no bs”
Seems there’s value in this stock 2A. It includes a Koenig(?) half cab and a bed extender.

“1947 Willy’s jeep! It has the original drivetrain in it. Flathead 4 cylinder with a manual transmission and t-case. It ran great until it spun a main bearing last spring so it doesn’t run now and I don’t have the time to get it there at the moment. I don’t need to sell it but would rather have someone fix it then it just sit. It comes with an extra hood, grill, bed extension, half cab, transfer case, one spare wheel, and some other parts like a front bumper.
I’m asking $3,000 and have a clean clear title in hand.”
This jeep is listed two different places. The first link has it at $3500. I’m guessing it was bought, but the link wasn’t taken down. It’s now priced at $9000 here: https://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/d/cresson-jeep-willys-ford-ww2/7622948976.html
“1945 Ford Willy’s Jeep

“Selling a Willys CJ to A
Bed extender
Turn your CJ to A into a pick up
Asking $850”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
(05/02/2022) Listed as a 1944, this appears to be a 2A based solely on the transmission cross member sitting in the back of the jeep. This also has an extended rear, which isn’t seen often on a 2A. It might make an interesting project.
“Old Willy’s jeep. Good restoration project. Selling for a friend”
Any shared this unusual Koenig bed extender with a soft top setup. I’ve never seen a bed extender setup quite like this one.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
This has a few extras, including a Meyer hardtop, a Warn(?) OD, and a custom(?) bed extension. The video below must be from the previous owner.
“1960 Jeep Cj5 225 dauntless V6 3 speed with gear vendor overdrive Twin stick Dana 20 transfer case Runs and drives great, breaks work plenty. Rides great at 45-50mph Do not ask if it’s still available.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $18,800.
(05/24/2021) Looks nice. Adding the look of the stake bed to the bed extender gives this one a neat look.

“All original Jeep, Everything has been rebuilt recently. Runs great. Newly rebuilt original engine. All new steering components. Have to see to appreciate.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $2900.
This includes a plow, a Sears(Meyers) half cab, Warn hubs, and a bed extender. Hopefully, it isn’t too rusty.
“1942 Willys Jeep, small block chevy engine V8, automatic transmission, hardtop with doors, rare factory rear P.T.O. doesn’t run, needs restoring, automatic transmission, original paint, no rust, project jeep. ”
This looks like a good price. It appears to have a bed extension and some later model Free-Lock hubs.

“Willys Jeep CJ2A with custom made truck bed and hydraulic pump for plow. It’s a restoration project and appears to be all original. Jeep is complete with drivetrain. It doesn’t run and didn’t when I purchased in 2008 from people in Crystola. I bought it to restore but didn’t get around to it.”
This is Koenig bulletin #156, one that I finally purchased and scanned. This brochure marked a change in model numbers from Koenig’s 1955 brochure; the “-5″s were eliminated in favor of individual hardtop numbers (which I imagine was easier for consumers to understand). See a Koenig hardtop brochure history here.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $19,990.
(12/11/2020) This is certainly unusual build.
“f Jeep would have started building these in the 70s, they would have never had financial issues. Look at this rare piece. The Jeep was built using all CJ5 parts. The front door is modeled off of a CJ7. The rear door is modeled off of a CJ5.
The bed is extended to the length of a CJ6 or CJ8 Scrambler. The frame is stretched 36 inches in the middle and 14 inches behind the rear axle. The frame was boxed from the front to the rear spring perches. It has Dana 30 and Dana 44 axles (both are open diffs). The transfer case is a Dana 20. The transmission is a 3 speed. I believe it is a T150.
The engine is an AMC 360 from a 1972 Wagoneer. It was rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago. It was bored over. The crank was turned. It got all new bearings, new pistons, new valve guides, and hardened seats. It has an RV cam, an Edelbrock SP2P low rise dual plane intake, and a Holley Street Avenger 570cfm double pumper carb. Skip White electronic ignition/distributor. Warn 8274 Winch. Heavy duty steel front fenders. (Matching Rescue Green CJ5 OEM fenders also included.) Rear corner guards. The motor has more than enough power for a vehicle this size.
Includes a bed extension.

“47 jeep willys needs complete restoration not running at this time clean title”
This has any unusual extension setup along with shorter rear barm doors. Maybe a Koenig hardtop?

“I am sad to be posting this but here it is. This is a one of a kind Hardtop Jeep Willys CJ3A. It has 18,500 original miles and the motor was rebuilt at 15,826 in 2016 ($3000 of work that I have the paperwork for).
Shocks were replaced at 15,665 miles. It is converted to 12volt. Its got brake lights and blinkers. 4×4 high and low work perfectly. The hardtop is custom fitted and fabricated, they didn’t make these with hardtops back then. This is a one of one Jeep Willys with an awesome patina, it could be sanded and panted easily but I would say don’t do it, keep that patina alive.
