“Metal half cab off a M38A1. Good shape, needs windows. Might fit a Jeep CJ5.”
No mention of doors. The triple window setup in the rear makes me think this is a Koenig, but the construction of the rear of the top does not look like any Koenig I’ve documented. To me, the front curves in a way that looks like it was designed to fit snuggly atop a 3A or 3B windshield. Any thought on the model?

“Came off a 46 2A. Will it fit others? You will have to figure that out. Was saving for a project. A little rough but useable as is. Needs glass. Easy restoration project.”
Was in JP Magazine several years ago. Has a Meyer half cab.

Appears to have a sears half top. Front clip doesn’t look to bad.

“We are parting out a 1959 Jeep Willys”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2250.
(10/25/2019) Given the half top, there might be value here if the body isn’t in too bad of shape.
“1948 Jeep Willy’s. Does not run. As is condition”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $400.
(12/10/2019) Looks like a good price.
“Kelly steel 1/2 top and doors removed from a 1952 Willy’s CJ3A. Good condition, some rust where the top meets the rear floor area. (see pictures) $400 obo”
Runs and has a half cab. Could be worth a look.

“1955 Willys M38A1. runs and drives. Needs work. Comes with original rims and tires along with 33” tires on new rims. Also comes with a ton of spare parts, everything you need for it. Clutch is sloppy and brakes need work. Front driveshaft is out. Has rust. All original except rims and I have the originals. Make me an offer, trades welcome”
Has a plow and Meyer half cab. If the engine runs, there could be parts value here. No description provided.

“I have a mega-rare 1976 Jeep brand CJ5 half cab hardtop and doors. It fits 1976 1977 1978 1980 1981 1982 1983 CJ5. Can also fit 1975 and earlier models with some modification. It is 100% complete:
I have everything: top, doors, hinges, bulkhead, visors, wiper motor and arms.
This is a Jeep BRAND hard top and doors. Each door window rolls up and down, and is perfect. Door handles operate well.
The lead picture to this ad is the ACTUAL hardtop for sale. The Jeep is no longer available, don’t ask.
Great set for your CJ 5 or 6.
Possible trade trades trading”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.
This was Bruce Agan’s plow jeep. It hasn’t moved since he passed.
“Jeep used for snow plowing in the past years. Runs but hasn’t been used in past 3 yrs since my late husband used it for plowing our drive. He parked it at end season 2016, has not been moved since that day. Jeep has been parked in a garage protected from the elements. Comes with a 6ft blade and hard top. For a view of my late husbands work and collection view this link: https://cj3b.info/Siblings/SurreyAgan.html”
Anyone recognize the manufacturer or model of this hardtop? I noticed there were several models when going through the archives. Those long doors and the odd roof makes it distinctive. The way the front edges hug the curve of the CJ-5 top also make it distinctive.
1. CJ-5 sold out of Lebanon Oregon in 2013:
2. CJ-5 sold out of Boomton, NJ in 2016:
3. Jeep customized CJ-5/flattie sold out of Oakgrove, Minnesota, in 2018:
4. Possible example out of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 2010:
This is another modified German jeep, but this time it’s a CJ-3A located at the Budensee Museum in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, Germany. Based on the Facebook caption, it appears to be a wood burning engine.
“(translation from German by Facebook) This Willys Jeep served until the mid-60 s a salary sawer, who moved from home to house. This vehicle prepares the fuel-eating glutton engine for users. What was the solution? Find out more on our historic wooden saw days on 13. and 14.10.2018.”
This has a curious halftop. It looks like the Jeep-branded Koenig-manufactured hardtop, but in a half-size version. I’ve seen no documentation that this ever existed.

“1952 Willys M38 Jeep. Runs good, no brakes, body rusted, needs restoration or for parts. Has correct serial plates, paperwork and correct engine. Has a real nice Kelly steel half top that I will sell separate for $500. Has been converted to 12V and used as a plow Jeep for the last 25 years so you get the picture… Worthwhile candidate to restore. $2700 OBO”
Someone created this custom Commando out of what was probably a rusted body.

“V6 225 3 speed T14 manual transmission. It was redone to look nice with rustoleum tractor red paint and filler. It has wood floor and homemade truck bed. I redid brakes and have it running well. Plow pump was removed. Unique and road worthy, but not highway worthy yet. Not many out there and would be great off-road as 4wd works.”
Looks like something has been added under the hood near the driver’s side headlight that keeps the hood from closing all the way.

“1959 CJ six. This is not a CJ5 as it has a longer wheelbase. You must buy the entire jeep for parts. Includes everything you see in the pictures. Body is very rusty. Frame seems OK. Transfer case and transmission seem OK. Original steel rims. Engine is taken apart. Radiator and original gas tank is there. All for 600 bucks. No title. Parts only.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $2000.
Given this civilian jeep didn’t appear until after WWII, I doubt it was used during WWII. Looks like the driver side frame rail and the driver’s side of the body has been repaired. Still might be worth a look.
“Old army jeep was used in world war 2 still runs good just had a paint job must be a 1940s model”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(09/25/2019) The person who listed is not the one selling the jeep. But, FB auto hid the number, so you’ll need to contact the lister to get the p#.

“Runs good needs bolts for the rearend”
I found a few jeep-related photos in Wyoming’s Digital Collection.
2) This CJ-2A might have a Beck hardtop:
3) Photo of soldier jumping a horse near a jeep:
UPDATE: This appears to be still available.
(06/30/2019) Tom shared this oddity. This seems to be a late model DJ-3A body and windshield (design for a Koenig top) mounted on a (probably) CJ-2A chassis with a Meyer Half-top. That’s a combo I don’t think I’ve seen before.
