UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900.
Given the Meyer top, there may be value here.
“I believe that this is a 52 or 53. I have no title only bill of sale. I originally bought this to restore but have gone another route. This is mostly all there, the two side windows on the top are missing, easy to get. The windshield, doors and rear glass is all there and in good condition. I believe that this top will fit most of the CJ5s There is surface rust on the inside of the doors, the floorpan on the drivers side is rusty but there. The passanger side needs to be replaced.
It has the rearends, transmission, transfer case and has the adapter plate still on it for a 350 Chev.
It has been sitting for a number of years on a farm so of course it is rusty, but restorable or use for parts. Has the Ross steering conversion which is nice. missing the speedo. The sheetmetal is not all beat to heck and gone but in pretty good shape overall.
I was thinking of just parting this out but don’t haave the time (or effort)…I would like to get 900 for it but am open to reasonable offers. Might take a trade . Maybe a jeep or pickup truck.
I am very easy to deal with so give me a call or a contact number. by the reply box.”
Paul from Alaska wrote, “Recently I was at the Alaska Aviation Museum helping a friend assemble his plane when I noticed a very large photo displayed on the wall of the hanger. As you can see this photo was taken in 1947 at Adak but what really caught my attention were the numerous flat fender Jeeps with hardtops driving on the base. I took a close up photo of a cluster of these Jeeps even though the image is rather grainy but I thought you’d like to see it anyway.”
Here’s an mocked-up example of a jeep pulling the plane:

OLD!!!!!1946 Willys cj2a Jeep with rare aluminum hard top! 12 volt upgrade with new battery. “Go Devil” L-head engine. Jeep starts and runs strong, brakes, steers and shifts through all gears no problem. 4 wheel hi/low works. It has new front turn signals (easily removed to return to stock), as well as correct tail lights (not cheap generic). Headlights work, also has cabin heater (under driver dash). All footman loops are present. New original style spare tire carrier/mount from Walcks (not generic aftermarket carrier). Engine was removed and re-built several years ago- have re-build receipts.

They sell new sheetmetal body’s for this jeep around two thousand dollars the top is said to be a very rare factory top and could easily be worth more than I’m asking alone. (04/09/2016) Engine is frozen. Top looks solid.
“Hi, here we have a 1947 cj2a, (123179), very much complete, dents here and there, rust as well, nothing that cant be fixed, THE 4 TIRES ARE BRAND NEW, FROM AMERICAN SPECIALTY TIRES, the windshield is the type that could be open horizontally, I didn’t try to open it, the engine L134, is frozen, and it came from a supersonic, at least that is what the head reads, the 6 volt electrical system has to be redone completely , transmission and transfer case appear to be okay, all the gears engage non running, ORIGINAL COLOR WAS YELLOW.
This is a great summer project, this is for restoration, I was going to do it but I need the money for college, tow bar not included.
Originally from Arizona, now it is in the California dmv system, NO LATE FEES, NOT DUE FEES, I PAID TRANSFER AND EVERYTHING ELSE, I JUST NEED TO PHYSICALLY TAKE IT TO THE DMV FOR THEM TO CHECK THE VIN NUMBER, SOLD AS IS, NO REFUNDS, THANK YOU.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $100.

(03/23/2016) Nice vintage CJ-5, though the tails lights don’t look stock. But, that’s trivial.
“1961 CJ-5 Bone Stock / Totally un-molested. F-Head 134 Hurricane 4 Cylinder / 3 Speed Transmission T 18 twin shift transfer case. Everything on the jeep works. Jeep has new springs and shocks, shackle nuts and bolts and Fresh a oil change. The heater even works, but will need the heater core replaced. It has a small drip. Hard top is in great condition, one of the best hard tops I have ever seen. As you can see from the pictures there is slight surface rust on the hard top, just scratches. The body is very straight. The jeep has always been kept in garage. The body has minor rust as you can see from the picture. At some point in its life the jeep received a matching sky blue second paint job. The passenger side floor board is the worst and will need to be fixed, but this a pretty simple job. Tires have good tread and I have a spare pair of studs.
I was thinking modifying this jeep, but I can’t bring myself to molest a Jeep this nice. It’s a true survivor It’s almost impossible to find a 55 year old CJ-5 in this condition. I’m looking for a Tuxedo Park Mark IV. Drive it home tomorrow or tow it with the tow bar. Bring a 2″ Ball. I drive this Jeep every weekend to Garage Sales. I bought it from the original owner with 34,000 miles. They put $2,000 worth of work into it in 2014. Water Pump, Battery, Radiator, Fuel Tank, New Carb, Fuel Line, New Fan Belt, Ignition, Starter, Etc. Etc. Etc. I also have pristine period correct collectors license plates I might throw in for the right price. I also have a Dana 30 front axle with discs and completely rebuilt and restored Ramsey PTO winch. I would have to adjust the price if you wanted me to include these too.
$6,000 OBO or trade for a Tuxedo Park Mark IV CJ5 or CJ6 I will give you cash to make up the balance if the Tuxedo Park if it’s really nice.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $750.
I think this is the fourth CJ-6 hardtop I’ve seen listed this year.
“I got this with the jeep I bought. Just found out that this is a Koenig model 620 and only fits a CJ6. We just tried to mount it on a 1974 cj5 and it was too long. Back corners are squared off , cj5 tub has rounded corners. Sorry for past confusion but just found the Koenig tag. Has slide up and down windows in doors. All the glass is good except back window is cracked and metal is super straight . Very rare. Not many cj6’s out there $750 Obo email or call if interested.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500.
(02/13/2016) Has a Meyer hardtop.
“Ok sorry to anyone who showed interest before, I was working a lot and missed a few phone calls, so finally got to go over this cj6, it is a 1966 and has a clean clear title, Buick v6 with a manual 4 spd trans, it is the rare long wheel base passenger seat in back with bed behind it, good hard top and all glass is good, driver seat needs redone, has been sitting for a year, brakes are free and work good, drained the gas tank, and cleaned fuel lines, new fuel filter, waiting on a battery but should fire right up, it did run on started fluid to load on trailer. UPDATE new battery, it starts and runs and drives, all lights work too”
