Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. 1955 High Hood Willys, nut and bolt restoration super clean 99% original parts completely rust free. this is a 3 owner fully documented Jeep only 28K original miles on the stock 4 cyl, 134 hurricane motor, original numbers matching engine and running gear, original body and tub. Updated to 12 volt. Runs and drives great. Includes new white top and full doors, also have an overdrive for the trans and other misc parts. Super clean, never wheeled since restoration, always stored indoors heated shop. Will consider trades for a 4 door Jeep JK 2014 with cash on my end.”

“1969 Kaiser Jeepster commando. Only 57,350 of these vehicles made this one is 54,398. It was in storage for 30 years, it has 52,950 original miles on it. All the upholstery, carpet and seats are all original. It has a 225 dauntless v6 engine, 3 speed transmission,4wheel drive. The front end has been totally rebuilt, new tires, shocks. Carb has been rebuilt, complete tune up. It has original Jack and owners manual. Basically this jeepster is as it was 50 years ago when it rolled off the showroom floor. Asking 14,000 OBO. It has a current Nevada smog certificate”

This jeep was on the cover of the Kaiser Willys catalog in 2016.

“2WD Very rare. They only made these Jeepsters from 1948 to 1950. This Jeepster has the very rare optinal 6cyl and 1949 was the first year you could get it. 3 speed with push button overdrive. Has the rare optional radio, turn siginals, and mirrored spot light. This is a very solid Arizona Jeepster and has had only one paint job done back in the 1970’s. The paint still looks good for it’s old age. Has always been taken care of and always garaged. This Jeepster has been in the same family since the early 50’s. “This is an original Jeep with original paint. It’s in excellent condition. Though it has been sitting in my yard for months, it starts right up and runs great. This Jeep has new tires, exhaust, seats, as well as many other new parts and was very well taken care of by the previous owner.
I shipped this one across the country from SC…It was that nice!
This jeep has a heater, half canvas top with rear curtain, many new parts. Has original PTO, serial number indicates (GB) which is a farm jeep designation. Very rare only a few thousand of them made.
Low original mileage this jeep has not seen much work. It was used primarily as a toy.”

“Rare barn find- 1949 Willy’s Jeep delivery has been sitting in a barn for 30+ years and then my garage for the past 4 years. The beast was used as a grocery delivery vehicle in the 60ish in Western Iowa. Mileage is at 68,000. Pretty rust free but the drivers side floor board is a little soft. It has new brakes, exhaust, tires, battery, and fuel line. This vehicle has the L134 Go Devil engine in it- 2WD. We had grand hopes to rebuild but it just hasn’t happened. Below is a link for when I drove it into my garage in June. $7500 OBO. Clean title in hand. Thanks.”

“A 1948 Willy’s CJ2A. Jeep is in very good condition. Shows less than 18 K miles on odometer. This was a classic barn find near Audubon Iowa in 1978, and was purchased by my father and driven home. The motor was smoking badly at that time and it sat indoors in heated storage for many years. In the last few years the 4 cylinder flat head motor has been rebuilt, the 3 speed manual drive line gone thru, the brake,fuel, and cooling systems repaired/replaced.
New windshield glass. New seat cushions on all three seats on original frames. Still wears its faded and scratched “Princeton Black” 1948 paint excepting a few areas that were cleaned up as it was restored to be a turnkey driver. Factory(?) side steps All five original wheels, still in faded 1948 “Sunset Red”- which actually was a pumpkin orange- with a black trim stripe. Upgraded transfer case, Fiberglass body, Front tilt hood, and RARE ORIGINAL SAFARI WINDSHIELD. Take it to the dirt or sand a true performer. This is a true off road vehicle. True miles unknown, stated mileage is an estimate, odometer was non-op when I bought it. The transmission is a 4 speed with a low 1st gear. Local mechanic believes it is a GM SM420 with a Dana Model 18 Transfer Case. Title in hand and tags are current.”

It is good looking, with no significant scratches, dings or rust. The paint, chrome and interior are good, it runs great and the ride is very pleasant.
Headlights, brake lights, turn signals, gauges, doors, windows and locks all work well, and she has new tires, brakes, kingpins and radiator. The engine starts easily cold or hot, the transmission shifts smoothly and she will cruise at 60 on the freeway, but is not allowed out in rain or snow.”
