1959 Wagon Rio Rancho, NM **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Jeep Rods, Racing, Willys Wagons • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $19,950.

“I have an absolutely awesome 59 Willys Wagon Pro Street. It has a professionally built full square tube chassis and a Mustang 2 front end with rack and pinion steering. The 14 point cage was certified for 8.80s about 16 years ago. This was a drag car converted to a 9.0 second pro street car. It has a full roller, blown small block 400 punched to a 406 with an 8 quart oil pan, MSD ignition, E curve distributor and Wiend 671 Blower . Included are two 750 demon blower carbs and Dart 230 pro heads. Has NOS (never hooked up, never tried). The trans is a built Turbo 350 with a 3500 stall converter. Also has a 15 gallon fuel cell, wheelie bars and fan cooled oil and trans oil coolers under the rear. Dana 60 with 4.10s and detroit locker. Engine and trans have about 700 miles on them.

Wheels and Tires: Front and rear wheels are draglites. Rear tires are Mickey Thompson 33×19.5×15 Sportsman Pros. Front tires – Front Runners

HP? How does 650-750 sound?!?! And that’s without the 250 shot of nitrous! Can you say better than sex?!?!?

So let’s talk about what all of the above would cost. Buying the vehicle before engine and other grades – $30,000 with full square tube chassis, rack and pinion, etc. The engine alone would cost approximately $22,000 (with blower, etc.) NOS $1,000. Turbo 350 trans with stall converter another $1,500. Oil and Trans oil coolers $1,000. So all in – to build it yourself (AND THAT’S IF YOU COULD FIND ONE!) would cost you $55,000+!!!!!”

1944 MB Lakewood, Fl **SOLD?**

• CATEGORIES: MB • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: This appears to have sold.  Was at $10,000

This looks nice.  Even better, it’s been broken in a little following its restoration.

“I’m listing my jeep that I have loved and continue to love, just trying to downsize a bit and refocus priorities. It has been a staple in my life for a while now and have participated in numerous parades and shows around Jacksonville. It is a 1944 Willys MB WWII jeep. It runs well and does not smoke. Has the original WWII flathead 4 cylinder w/ original 3 speed T-84 transmission. Brand new brakes/brake lines and rebuilt master cylinder, filled w/ straight silicone brake fluid. It utilizes an 8 volt battery and voltage regulator has been adjusted to charge it properly. Uses the original 6 volt lighting just burns a bit brighter. Has been running this way for over a year with no issues. Installed a new “original style” cloth covered wiring harness from Vintage Wiring of Maine, the best in the market. New original style fuel pump w/ the primer handle, new repro gas tank, new repro windshield frame. The tub, hood, seat frames; with the exception of the canvas, rubber and a few odds and ends, everything else is original WWII period. The hood number is original to the jeep as I found them under the paint and have photos attesting to this. It is a nice piece of history and an attention getter everywhere you go.”

1949 CJ-2A Militarized Emmaus, Pa eBay

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This looks to be a solid jeep.

“Rumor had it this Jeep was used in a few movies back in the day (anyone say: Kelly’s Heroes). The previous owner bought it and planned to restore it, after many years he was ready to let it go. He had rebuilt the Engine and put in a new Radiator, and converted it to 12 Volt system with Alternator. We bought it in this condition, pretty much “rust-free” but with a few dents and dings (Jeep in Dark Green-white wheels). We CHOSE to leave that, so it looked more like a Combat (Field) Jeep – not a “SHOW” JEEP!”

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3A • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I’ve included only part of the description.  The seller’s description is extensive.

“This is a 1951 CJ3A Willys jeep that belonged to a SE Georgia Cattle farmer and hasn’t ever been in salty roads of colder areas. This vehicle was one of 3 jeeps that belonged to person and had nice weather proof shelter over head appeared not to have been abused or trashed” and limited use because of multiple “toys. This is not a patch plate or bondo special as some of these older Willys on ebay appear to be and even the under pasenger seat utility box is solid(rare). The wind shield frame is very solid as well and this is recurring problem on Willys exposed to elements as well as floor pans. The paint is recent and is enamel OD green and only pic with dog is pre new paint that jeep is currently….”

1947 CJ-2A Kennebunkport, Me **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  Was listed at $4900

(04/14/2012) This has a rear PTO with a drum pulley.  It  looks like a nice jeep.

“This CJ-2A spent most of its life on a farm in Nebraska, and was typically kept in the barn, which would explain the relative lack of rust. The paint looks to be the original black. In 2003, it was purchased from the original farmer’s grandson by a classic vehicle collector and mechanic who brought it to his shop and home in Colorado. The collector, who has worked on many older jeeps, purchased this one because it is so close to original condition in every respect. He kept it as a personal vehicle on his farm in Boulder for five years. In 2008 he sold it to a historic architect out there, and I bought it last summer.

This is equipped with a rare working PTO (power take off), that was used on farms to run equipment such as saw mills, threshing machines, and other farm machinery.

Because of slow and hesitant starting, the 6 volt system was changed to a 12 volt system in 2009. Included in the conversion were a new generator, new battery, new wiring, headlights and some distributor components. The starter motor and other components were not changed. At the time of the 12 volt conversion, a new carburetor, fuel pump, trailer hitch ball, 4 pin trailer wiring and used seat were also added, as well as the new top. The Jeep still has the original paint scheme of Princeton Black, also called “Americar Black,” with Harvard Red wheels. The wheels were repainted before 2008 and the new tires were added at that time. The Jeep’s original gauges, horn, single windshield wiper and heater all work. In 2011, an old weld repair on the side of the block was discovered, almost out of sight, below the distributor. There had apparently been a crack at some point in one of the outside (cooling water) chambers of the block. Even though the old weld repair was holding fine, and the compression tested well, the old repair was completely redone by an engine expert company in Virginia. (Terry Walters Performance Engines). During that process, the engine was removed from the Jeep, the block completely disassembled, the crack area re-repaired, and the engine reassembled. Various parts in the clutch and flywheel, along with motor mounts and distributor points, were replaced at that time.

Since I bought it, the wheels have been pulled off and brakes and bearings rebuilt; choke and throttle cables were replaced, and a new fuel sensor put in;
new seatbelts, mirror, blocks and strap on hood were added. A couple of weeks ago I shorted out the horn wire, so that is currently not working.”
