1964 Wagon Westerville, OH BaT

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: , .

Blaine shared this restored, beautiful 2WD column shift wagon. The BaT auction ended without the reserve being reached a couple days ago at only $12,750. It seems to me to be worth more than that. It may still be for sale.

“The 1964 Willys Jeep Station Wagon is powered by a 134ci Hurricane inline-four mated to a three-speed manual transmission, and it underwent a partial refurbishment after being acquired by the seller in May 2021. Work included re-trimming the two-tone blue interior, re-plating the chrome bumpers, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the wiring harness, fuel pump, water pump, windshield wiper motor, shocks, and combination gauge. The truck is finished in blue with a white roof, and equipment includes 15″ steel wheels with full covers, a cowl fresh-air vent, wooden cargo floor slats, a heater, and an ashtray. This Willys station wagon is now offered with owner’s and service manuals as well as a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.”

“Willys. 1946 CJ2A (agri Jeep or farm jeep) Note the extra shifter in the floor….. I purchased this Jeep from my parents estate. My dad had many Jeeps through the years and this one he thought was special because not many agri jeeps were produced. Has been in storage for last 8 yrs right where these pics were made. I did crank it a few times but I think fuel pump has gone bad since. “Go Devil” engine makes 63 hp @ 2,000 rpm.

These Jeeps were hitched to plows, cultivators, mowing machines, harrows, and lime spreaders to tackle common farm tasks. Tires are dry rotted, there is a small hole in floor board on pass side [see pic] all other sheet metal seems to be in good shape. Chassis not rusted, only surface rust. Was painted best I can remember 20 yrs ago… New top bows as indicated in pics, do not have the canvas top. Tilt out windshield. Also have an extra engine, transfer case and trans, along with 2 extra heads. Not sure of the year but looks to be the same thats incld. Will assist in loading. Could get it running and drive as is or restore.”

“***I am helping a friend sell this, please be patient and I will answer questions as I am able to relay them and get a response*** VIN: 38222 1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A 77 year old vehicle in fantastic condition has minor dings here and there but no major dents or damage to body or frame. Has some surface rust on undercarriage as shown. Needs a little TLC and can be a great winter project. Starts every time, but can be a little touchy with a one barrel carburetor. Numbers matching engine, original dash information tags included. Mostly original except basic maintenance items. Also unsure about the paint being original. Unlikely, unless the paint is very faded because research suggests the factory blue would’ve been much darker. New battery in 2019, whole fuel system replaced, fuel filter, fuel tank all done by Hubbell’s Auto Repair in Marion, IA. Had professional welder check over undercarriage and did frame brace welding work. Factory storage bin under passenger seat was professionally refabricated and welded by the same welder and he did a great job. Factory bikini top included. Originally 6V converted to 12V prior

Well maintained and stored inside during the winter. Minimal usage during the summer with the longest drive being to the Dairy Queen in Turtle Lake, WI.

1954 CJ-3B Kettle Falls, WA $14,000

Looks in good shape for the price.

“Fully restored. 1954 Willys Jeep. This Jeep was from Arizona so it is a survivor. With the exception of the tailgate and a few pieces in the drivers footwell, its original metal. In total there’s less than a 1/4 cup of filler and that is in the hood covering an existing weld done years ago. The body was completely stripped, sand blasted and coated with high build epoxy primer so that we could examine for rusty areas. Then coated with 3 coats of Luzon red base and 3 clearcoats. the interior is coated in color matched bed liner, as were the wheel wells. See photos of the d/s floor replacement and top hat stiffeners. The original 15” wheels were blasted and powder coated and fitted with period all terrain tires of the correct proportions.
The transmission including transfer case were rebuilt with new bearings and several “out of spec’n” shafts. A new Saturn overdrive was installed so that you can get down the road at approaching respectable speeds. Most people that pass, just give an energetic thumbs up. (we did see 60mph one time) but typically you’re rushing around at 50-55mph.
The head was removed, and valves recut. The cylinders were still within tolerance, and she exhibits no smoking and uses no oil. The pressures were all within 10% of each other. The drive train has all new CV joints, transmission brake parts and axle seals. The brake master cylinder is new as are the front slave cylinders. The backs had been replaced the year we bought her!
The color is Luzon red, a beautiful deep red that was a Willys color for the 1952 jeeps. The colors for ’54 were slightly better than boring. Just about the first thing people comment about is the color. She has a 2″dia roll bar behind the seats and is fitted with a Bestop top that is easily removed or installed for late fall or spring driving. We keep the top on but doors off and sides rolled up for sun protection.
It’s a fun Jeep, don’t expect to cover hundreds of miles of freeway driving. These post war Jeeps were almost farmers tractors. But with the huge radiator and fan, she will happily rock hop all day.
We literally have thousands of dollars of invoices for the new parts.”

“I have a 1948 CJ2A with rear PTO. It’s all restored to original. The restoration was done roughly 15 years ago but looks like it was done less than that. This was all done recently as it sat for so long: New fuel pump, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, condenser, oil lines, fuel pump to carb line, carb was completely rebuilt, new master cylinder, bell and crank for the steering. I’m sure I’m missing a few things. Have new wheel cylinders but haven’t installed them. Comes with tire chains, a bucket of carbs (3-4) a crate of other parts and a hard cab that needs to be finished. Runs and drives. $18,500. Open to trades”

1953 CJ-3A Massillon, OH $3500

“1953 Jeep Willys CJ3A. Title has body type as farm Jeep and model as FJ (farm Jeep ?). Still has 6 volt electrical system and pretty much original other than the aluminum radiator. Brakes and emergency brake works but it has never been down the road since I’ve owned it for 11 years. Always starts on the coldest day of the year to plow driveway maybe twice a year. Was last ran in October of last year and never had snow to use it last winter but it just started right up without charging the battery just pulled the choke and it fired. Very dependable and hydraulic plow works fine up and down, angling the blade side to side is done manually though. I would recommend towing it even though it has brakes I don’t know how well it will stop on the road it has never left my driveway in 11 years after brake system was replaced, engine rebuilt and clutch replaced.”
