“Selling my restored 1948 Willys Jeep. The model is CJ2A. It is a civilian model, not military, hence the “CJ” or civilian Jeep. I purchased this Willys at the end of the summer to play around with. The previous owner purchased it fully restored, but was not a car guy. He owned it for about a year and a half and did not use it really at all. From what I can tell it has a new steel body (no fiberglass here!) and was fully restored top to bottom including all the drive train.

It is powered by the mighty 134ci “Go Devil” engine and has a 3 speed transmission with the very desirable overdrive option. 6 volt system that cranks and fires up every time, even in the cold weather! Everything works as it should and the restoration was done to original specs with the exception of the aftermarket Best Top soft top which is also in excellent condition.

“Nice little flat fender jeep that runs and drives very well. Been converted to 12 volt flat-head 4 cylinder runs strong; great T90 tranny – doesn’t jump out of 2nd gear like so many others; new items include: tub, fuel tank, fan belt, spark plugs, front bumper, pintle/ball hitch (2″) & upholstery. Tires are in great shape. Make a great hunting rig, farm jeep, parade jeep, toy or whatever.”

“I am on the fence about posting my favorite vehicle ever…….but its time for me to move on to other things. She’s still running a 6-volt generator system, she has the original style flat head 4 cylinder, T-90 transmission, Dana 18 transfer case with an overdrive, and I also have a pto to go with her just the gear box that attaches to the transfer case and a original style top bows and door frames. Just need to have the original canvas top made.”
