Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “ESTATE SALE. Very Rare 1949 Civilian Jeep CJ3A. First year for the CJ3A. Older restoration in Battle Ship Gray exterior. Engine rebuilt by previous owner. Has been stored inside. No visible rust. Runs & drives as it was meant to. Indicated mileage is 14643. Think of the fun you could have with this original 4WD vehicle. Serious inquiries only, please. Shown by appointment only.”

“Rock solid pick up for sale. Stomp starter column shift still 6v and it is the rare 2 wheel drive model w/ overdrive. The brakes are new from the pedal to the wheel.new fuel tank and lines. New tires all around and new glass except for rear window (still has late 1947 etch on it) Still has Original rubber mat on floor.This truck was repainted in the 80’s and last on the road in 1991 then was stored in a barn till 2014 when i bought it . very rust free and still has some Missouri clay on the bottom . The only things that need attention is the overdrive needs to be wired in properly . The speedo is not working (fiber drive gear?) Temp and pressure gauges not working but I have NOS gauges and senders. I have stock vacuum wiper as a weak motor conversion is installed . NO RESERVE If you have a question or need a specific photo please let me know. I am proud of this truck and if you want to inspect it in person it can be arranged. No ending auction early. Last bid gets it . buyer arranges shipping or pickup after payment is satisfied.”
Looks solid. Has a later model oil filter bracket.

“Up for sale is a very nice 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. It has been taken down to the bare frame and rebuilt from the ground up. It runs and drives well. I believe the drive train to be the original. Since it ran so well, the motor wasn’t rebuilt but was mostly disassembled for cleaning, gaskets and paint. The transmission and transfer case were both disassembled and rebuilt. The rear end was partially disassembled, re gasketed, painted and reassembled. The body was completely disassembled, all signs of rust were repaired.”

“1952 Jeep Willy M38 Trailer & Radio *LOTS OF EXTRAS*
Selling a street legal 1952 Willys Army Jeep Model M-38 with lockable 1952 Dunbar-Kapple M-100 Engineer Ordnance Stock Trailer. This Korean War Jeep in Olive Drab over tan canvas was made to drive underwater, has only 13,900 Actual miles and 5,300 since restored. It is the last year for flat hood and fenders. The owner has been collecting Military paraphernalia for many years and when he goes to a show and sees a correct spare part he buys it and they are now included with the Jeep and Trailer (inventory listed below). Jeep and trailer clear and separate Titles, Jeep VIN is RMC105981 and Trailer VIN is 285801.
The flat four cylinder engine has had a new fuel pump, spark plugs, gas tank, and carburetor. The transmission is three speed with HI/LO and 2/4 wheel drive. There are four drum brakes. There are two 12 volt batteries with the radio on a 24 volt system. Continue reading

Everything works like it should. 12 volt electrical with a heater, back-up lights and turn signals. It comes with a nearly new best top soft top (not shown). New alloy wheels and tires, new locking hubs, new brakes, new gas tank, new starter, alternator, fuel pump, ign. coil, all new 12 volt wiring throughout, new upholstery on original seat frames.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was auctioned.
This will be auctioned Sept 27th. It’s listed as a ’47, but has full floating hubs and tool indents.It also appears to have the earliest CJ-2A serial number data plate on the left of the three dash plates. The plates themselves have been trimmed at the corners, then redrilled and pop riveted onto the dash. This could be a ’45.

“I am selling my US Army WW2 1943 dated Willys Jeep. Currently registered with historical plates, insured and inspected.
Some of the accessories shown included. What IS NOT included is the M1919 and the accessories that go with it. However the gun mount pedestal will remain since it is bolted to the vehicle. The vehicle was restored in 2008 by a west Virginia military museum from which I had purchased this from and still a 6 volt electrical system. I put in new universal joints in the front end last year but it does need an oil seal replacement. Please feel free to ask any questions, thanks.”
