TJ shared this shortened truck. Note that the seller does not have the title, but has contact with the original owner who has paperwork of some kind.

“I have a 1951 willys pickup, I bought from a friend, got it to restore but don’t have the extra funds for parts, was willing to sell for less because of an injury but all healed up now but still willing to part with for the right price. The motor should be good, it was restored and ran when parked in the yard around 20 years ago. Someone had taken the radiator off and belt somewhere over the years, but i do have the radiator. It rolls but haven’t worked on the motor so don’t know if it will start or not. I know these trucks go for much more in same condition. Asking $1,000 OBO I do not have the title but can right bill of sale. Also can have original owner provide paperwork if any concerns.”
This is very much a project, but might appeal to someone given the short bed.

“I am selling my 49 Jeep Willys Overland!
– 12 Volt Conversion
– Professionally Rebuilt 6 Cylinder Flathead
– 4WD”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4400.
Interior looks good. Bed’s been shortened. Might be worth a look.
“I bought this truck with the idea it would be my winter project. I soon learned that my body lacks the flexibility necessary to take this on. Work that had been done before I bought it:
1) bed shortened by approximately 6″
2) new wiring and shocks
3) bench seat replaced with bucket seats
4) visors, headliner and door panels redone
5) new Stewart Warner gauges (oil pressure, water temperature, fuel, battery and speedometer)
6) new door glass
7) new rear window glass (not installed)
7) new gas tank
8) working heater
The tires are in good shape. The truck runs but I would not recommend driving it until all running gear was gone through.
There is obviously a lot of body work to be done but this truck has what it takes to be something very nice.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
This appears to have a short wheelbase.
“Willys pickup not sure of year, shortened wheelbase, v6 Buick, runs no title $1000 obo’
This truck has been shortened and had it’s top lopped off. And, it’s still a project.
“Selling our project, bought this 1953 Willy’s Jeep truck last year intented to paint it and drive it daily. But we have to many projects. It is on a early Willy’s Jeep frame. The guy we bought it from cut the bed down and made it a convertible. Every nut and bolt is new on this. No rust anywhere. Has a 302 out of a 1970 mustang needs a tune up. The wintch works. Has new breaks and a hydraulic clutch. New exhaust except one of the new mufflers needs to be replaced. Needs front shocks”

This one has a different look to it. I don’t think the body is a ’56.
“I have a 1956 willys Jeep with a modded ls1 engine. Engine and transmission are really good and has cold A/C I’m asking 8000 or best offer, open up for trades too.”
Craig spotted this odd one on eBay.
“1961 willys truck on a 1971 4wd chevy frame 327 auto ps pb digital gauges red. Red rhino lining paint Dana 60 rear’s and Dana 44 fronts Diamond plated door panels.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
There could be some value here if you are looking for an unusual project.
“I have too many projects so it’s time for this one to go, it’s a 1949 Willys truck, the bed has been shortened about 1 1/2 feet. No motor but it does have the original tranny and transfer case, 70s jeep Wagoneer Dana 44’s front and rear, only asking $500 for quick sale. I was going to build a rat rod out of it but it could be a nice crawler. The Dana 44’s and the tailgate are worth $500 alone so don’t try to lowball me. No paperwork bill of sale only.”
UPDATE: *SOLD** Was $4500.
It’s a shortened truck project. That looks like a fiberglass drag jeep body in the foreground.
“53 willys pickup on Cherokee chassis,360 AMC v8, turbo 400 ,208 t/c,dana 44 front ,disk brakes, aluminum radiator, corprate 20 rear. shortened bed. needs finishing good project. $4500.00”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
This has a short wheelbase. Maybe this is a truck on a CJ-5 chassis?
“We have a 1955 or 1956 Willys Flatbed pickup would make an excellent crawler.
The transmission and transfer case look like a T89 transmission and a model 80 transfer case which would be correct for this vehicle.
The engine in the photos is not the correct engine for this model regardless of the year, however, it looks like a 215 c.i. Buick V6 engine that was an optional engine in the Jeep CJ5 from about 1966 to 1969? (Jeep Corp. bought the engines from GM)The Buick engine in the CJ5
was matched to the T89 transmission and model 80 transfer case until about 1969 or so.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
(05/23/2013) Steve spotted this shortened wagon. It hasn’t been started in years.
“51 willys wagon,has been shortened by 30 inches(easy to turn around in tight spots)rebuilt 4 cylinder,all new hoses-fuel pump-wheel cylinders-master cylinder-brake shoes-3 speed trans,pto on front,rewired,all kinds of new parts.”
Here’s a shortened truck project.
“1949 Willy pick up sitting on a 1980 international scout frame and running gear.shortened box, int. 304 with a 727 trans. not wired etc so it does not run. Too many projects not enough time or extra $$
$1,500 is a fair price it has a ton of potential..”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
Here’s another shortened wagon.
“Perfect winter project . Neat little custom Willys panel wagon . Not sure what year it is . 50’s? It’s a little ruff but with a little TLV , you will have a neat little run around jeep .”
