About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Seller claims this is on a VW frame, but if that’s the case, it is hidden well.
“This is a 1948 Willys jeep on a vw frame. Cruises hwy speeds very easy. Engine in rear and great suspension over the original jeep Chasis and all are completely rust free. Extremely rare and hard to find however parts are reasonably priced and easily available. 8000 or best offe”
The 2A looks like a good candidate for a rebuild. The 3A is a parts jeep.
“I have a 1947 Willys Jeep. It is painted yellow although my plan was to repaint in Army green. Body in very good condition as is frame – no rust. Does not run, but ready to be rebuilt. I have about $1,200 of boxed parts including a new wiring harness and new radiator. Additionally I have an extra set of tires and rims and a second jeep, 1953, of the same model to use for parts.”
“1947 CJ2A body on a 1974 CJ5 frame. 327 cubic inch Chevy engine, 3 speed manual, four wheel drive, rear lockers. This was basically a frame off restoration. The engine was rebuilt and everything is either new or refurbished. Front disk brakes, new gauges. The odometer was set to zero when the engine was finished. The frame and body were sand blasted and painted. No rust or body damage. Custom seats, power steering, new Bestop soft top. Windshield wipers and a heater have been added for Colorado weather. Reverse shackle leaf springs for improved handling, tilt steering. It runs and drives great. Good Offroad setup. I inherited this jeep so I don’t have some of the specifics on certain parts. The price is fair and firm. It needs to be seen to be appreciated.”
(06/016/2016) Missing the steps and the drain holes have been filled.
“1947 Willy’s Jeep. Engine, Transmission, transfer case, and radiator have been rebuilt. It runs but needs to be re-tuned. It was tuned with the choke on. Other than a larger size brake and different seats it is all original. Great for off-roading!”
Rear floating hubs, indents, column shift, squares on the windshield. Looks great for the price.
“1946 Willys Jeep, flathead 4 cyclinder engine, very rare 3 speed column shift, new upholstery, new leaf springs, new gas tank, needs brakes and battery, $2800 as is.”
Seller will sell whole or part out. Maybe it’s an ex ice-racer??

“1947 Willys CJ-2A Jeep with diamond plate tub and extra standard tub and frame. Not running but looks like a lot of the hard to find stuff is there. The hood and windshield frame are stamped Willys. The data plates for the frame and firewall match. The tubs are off the frames so you can see everything. Call or text with questions”
