Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Body off, all rust removed from frame, and body primed and painted in 2001

Have owned vehicle since 1972
Has tow bar used as off road only since bringing to Colorado in 1987
Engine probably equivalent to 20,000 miles use since rebuild

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A
This is the first model of civilian jeeps produced after WWII.
Jeep does need work. It will start… sometimes. When I pulled it out of the driveway to take pictures of it to sell, the brakes were not working. I haven’t checked into why, so it could be an easy fix or may not be. Jeep has a Tennessee title.
The jeep is mostly original parts and is about 99% complete with the exception of windshield wipers and possibly some odd things that I don’t know about. I also have manuals that come with the jeep (more than likely they are reprints).
Jeep has a 4 cylinder flat head engine, 3 speed transmission, and is 4WD.”
