About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“If your looking at this add most likely you know a bit about these old jeeps and maybe even a bit about the Bantam trailer that goes with.
The Jeep runs but the transmission won’t go into gear, however it does roll so it’s not stuck in gear. It seems mostly original albeit some repairs done over the last 75 years. It needs attention at every point so it’s a good candidate for a restore I think. I’ve got a green title for it.
“Runs and drives great titles as a 1946 Willys. Super strong and reliable. No carb to worry about. No emissions required, qualifies for classic plates. Very nicely put together. Lots of time and money putting it together the best way possible!!! It has Great heater. Everything works on the car including lockers. Exhaust system it’s straight piped and needs a little tweaks to accommodate front differential drive axel for rock crawling. Quick sway bar disconects!!!! 4.3 liter v6 from a 2002 blazer was re-sealed and fully rebuild about 1000 miles ago with lockers on both differentials. ABSOLUTELY NO LEAKS AT AT WHAT SO EVER!!! Brand new 35″ tires on aluminum wheels.”
“Very cool 1946 Jeep CJ2A. This was sitting in a field for quite some time. The owner I bought it from did not title the jeep. The previous owner could not locate the title. So you will need to get a bonded title. I had multiple offers on the way home when picking it up. Will have a bill of sale..
I have shown this jeep to a serious collector and he said this is the kind of jeep he looks for. It’s virtually un molested. It does have rust in the floor under the tank and where the tool box is on passenger side. I bought a new tank and sending unit for it and gas cap. It also has a new repair manual.
The previous owner drove it around for me but did so without working brakes. He used a retro fitted fuel can to make it work. Engine ran rough probably needs carburetor cleaned out real good. I believe the brakes could be bleed. Not sure of their condition. Has to original style seats. This would make a great little project. These thing are going for crazy money and It has the Ford type head. Let me know it your interested and I’m not really gonna budge on price. Other motor shown in pic is not included. I just had it running for a short time however the carburetor started leaking so it will need rebuilt.”
