This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1957 Willys Jeep in real good original condition. This jeep has its original Willys F134 overhead value Hurricane 4 cyl 75hp engine, it does not smoke. 4×4, hi and low work all work. It has a fairly new soft top with full soft doors for side and rear. Tires are in excellent condition and are over sized 8ply. Everything works as it should for its age. Great jeep for farm or ranch but would also make great restoration project to take to next level. ”

Wayne points out that the skid plate was optional. This is one nice Renegade (though an imperfect restoration to stock). My only question about this is the lack of the protective skid plate underneath the gas tank that bolts between the back of the frame and the cross member in front of the tank (something my 1973 CJ-5 had). (here’s a stainless steel version of what I mean)

This Jeep was bought brand new at Galloway Motors on October 3rd, 1973 by Mr. Thomas Payne of Tucson. This Jeep has Southwest desert area its whole life and is completely solid and rust-free, and still retains its all original steel tub with no patch work. This little CJ has just come out of the collection of a 35 year Jeep dealer and expert who just recently completed a full frame off restoration on this gorgeous CJ-5. He stated that he believes the miles are original at under 40k, as he knows the Jeep was off the road for the better part of 25 years before the restoration. The vehicle has been carefully restored to like new condition!”

Here’s an interesting build. The dash has a unique gauge panel.

(11/02/2013) This nice looking CJ-5 appears to be a good price.
“This ’64 Willys has been completely restored from ground up using all original Jeep parts. Has 14,844 original miles, with only 327 miles since complete overhaul. Have all receipts and clear title in hand. Even has original Jeep tires (new). Pics tell the whole story; this is essentially a brand new Jeep made of materials built to last. 4 cylinder with 3-speed transmission, with lockout hubs. Everything works on this Jeep like it should. I have receipts showing restore parts alone costing more than 13k; will sell for $5500, firm”
This looks like a pretty rare hardtop. I don’t have time to locate it in my files tonight, but I’m sure I’ve posted something about it.

(09/26/2013) This jeep has an unusually customized dash. The louvered rear and hood give it a different look as well.
“I’m selling my recently restored 1963 Jeep. I love this thing but it is simply not practical for me. I run around way to much with work. This jeep runs like new and everything works. No squeeking, no dents, it’s like new. There are a few minor nicks in the paint but nothing major. I shipped this down from the states back in April. It has 1900 miles on it since being restored. It has Bluetooth retro sound stereo with kicker speakers. Perfect island ride. Turns lots of heads. Handles hills no problem. I have taken very good care of this jeep. I hate to sell it but I’m buying another trick and I can’t keep 3 vehicles. I’m asking $13,500 Serious inquiries only please. 340.626.9308”
