Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This CJ-5 has got some great extras for jeeping, including posi front and rear, full cage, dual tanks and more.

This early CJ-5, first year of production, appears very stock and in good shape.
“Rare 1955 Willy’s jeep with a flat head 4 cylinder engine. Manual hubs, high low transfer case, & 3 speed transmission. Was grandpas old jeep but after he suffered a stroke the jeep just sat in the garage for years. Now that he’s passed the jeep has become my responsibility & is not a restoration project I have time to complete. The jeep does run! UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2950.
“Jeep, 1980 Army (NATO) jeep with 17,000 miles 8,000 lb. winch, new canvas top and new mud and snow tires 6 cylinder, Army auto hubs. Runs great I got it directly from the army at the old Lowery bombing range when they shut it down $2,950.00

For $1000, looks like a decent project. Tires and rims look good, body appears pretty good, top looks in good shape.
“1964 Willy’s Jeep Project, no engine in the jeep at this time, but has (2) engines that come with it. (1) 4 cyl. with bad crank and new carb. (1) Buick v6 engine runs great. Has tranny in it. Has an older PTO wench.
Good vinyl top and doors. Nice looking wheels and ok MUDTRACK steel radial tires. Overall decent looking jeep (BLACK) for the year Pictures available upon request $1,000.00”

“64 Willys Title In Hand. Rebuilt 225 V-6, And Rebuilt 3 Speed Tranny, PTO Winch, xtra fuel cell as well as fuel tank under seat. Newer soft top, Newer seat’s, New Carburator, New wirering harness still in the box that needs to be installed, New Altinator still in the box also, 6 point roll cage, need a fuel pump. Master Cylander needs replaced ( Aka: NO BRAKES )Lots Of xtra parts twin stick transfer case. And Also with all of this I have a 73 CJ5 Part Jeep ( NO TITLE ), 225 V-6 has two dead cylenders needs rebuilt. This is a great looking CJ-5. I suspect there’s a few additional upgrades on this jeep.

This trail jeep seems reasonably priced.
“Selling my trail rig. It is street legal but I trailer it around. It has a built 360, T15/D20, d44/d30 locked in rear, New custom drivelines, 5in of lift (used to be S.O. w/36’s I lowered it back down) 33″ wildcats with spare. 10klb Warn winch with remote, Cd player, Full roll cage, I have the soft top for it, but it needs a little sewing work done (its all there though). It has all the lighting you will ever need, Engine runs at about 80-90psi oil presure. Oversized radiator means it never overheats on the trail. The is an awsome trail jeep. I just dont have time to use it anymore…. Les T. 253-905-5500”

This is one of the stranger CJ-5s I've ever seen. While the cage won't be sold with the jeep, it's not exactly a good advertisement for the kind of custom cage they are offering to make. You gotta see all the pics to really appreciate this one.
"1953 Willys ready to finish your way or we can custom build to specs. We have various axels, motors, transfer cases, and trannys. Cage inside and rims do not go with rig. We can also custom build bumpers, tire carriers, cages, sliders to your original design. Or take it as it sits and restore. Tubs is in great shape no major rust. make offer. 406-887-2858"
The body on this looks straight. I doubt there's been many changes to it. This might be a nice restoration project.
